Keeping the remix train going!

Mint recognizes his footsteps before Porsche even rounds the corner.

She also recognizes his mood right away. Normally, Porsche saunters through the halls with his jovial smile, greeting staff members left and right and stopping for a chat with the bodyguards. They had all been wary, years ago when the young student started hanging around at the tower, but Porsche had quickly won them over with his easy charm, natural friendliness and quick wit. And most of all, it’s clear to see that he’s just as besotted with Master Kinn as the older man is with Porsche. No one in the tower suspects Porsche of being a golddigger anymore - even though Big claims he never completely dropped his guard.

But today, Porsche has no time for trivialness. He looks extremely determined, walking tall with a fast tread and his head held high. Mint even suspects him of holding his breath. 

The young man stops in front of the door and knocks. Only then he glances at Mint, who doesn’t bother hiding her smirk.  

“You’ve got something to settle with Master Kinn?” 

Porsche huffs. “Master Kinn has something to settle with me. How long do I have?”

“You’re in luck. His last call ended early, about twenty minutes ago, so he’s probably just reading up before the next meeting in…” Mint glances at her watch, “twenty-five minutes. That enough for you, hot shot?”

“More than. I’ve brought an incentive.” 

From behind the door, Kinn calls for him to enter. Porsche answers Mint’s smirk with his own when he reaches for the handle. “Do me a favor?”

“Yeah, yeah. Total privacy until you leave again.”

“And that’s why you’re my favorite.” With a final wink, Porsche disappears through the door, closing it with a final click that echoes through the hall. 

Mint takes a step to the left, planting herself right in front of the door. No one is getting past her in the next twenty minutes - for their own good.
