i’ll be honest guys, Dan Wilds has never been my favorite of favorites (perhaps it has a lot to do with her name… I’d really, really rather call her Danielle… or maybe it’s the cursed image of Kristen Bell… (was that a fever dream??) perhaps it has more to do with how she treated Kevin in the end… who cares) but MY GOD what a WOMAN.

she was a STRIPPER. do you know how good of a mental she had to have to keep her cool, keep her head clear, above water? she was a TEEN. she worked so hard. but by god did she work it.

i wanna talk to her “sisters” i wanna know everything about them and how they adopted her and cared for her in the hardest of times and made her the captain that she is in TFC-TKM. i wanna take young Danielle into my arms and protect her with my life and give her everything. she’s so strong. she deserves such softness. i wanna kiss Wymack for taking her away and giving her the Foxes.

i wanna know when she cries. i wanna know her nightmares. i wanna know how it started with Matt. i wanna know if she kept some of her stage heels. i wanna if she ever misses her cousins. i wanna know who was her first kiss and was it one of her “sisters”. i wanna know which Fox she sees herself in the most.

the women of the Foxes have such a wide array of strengths and i feel like Danielle is too often overlooked in favor of Renee and Allison. she’s not just the captain. she has extreme resilience; she’s confident in her body through everything; she is a born leader, fair but head held high and hardly swayed.

i wish we had more moments on the court to show her skills, the way we had show-stopping scenes for Andrew, Matt and Kevin.

i wish Andrew respected her more, i wish he could see the Hennessey in her and at least get where she comes from, that they are not as opposite and far apart on the spectrum as he might think.

i wish Kevin consulted her more, i wish he sought more of her wisdom and advice, that he went to her more as equals relying on one another. i wish he had her back more.

i wouldn’t change the characters for anything in the world. everything is the way it is for a reason. the Foxes are Foxes for a reason, a ragtag team challenged game after game, season after season, in peril of being disbanded, both internally and outwardly. Danielle being the outstanding woman and captain that she is ain’t enough to patch up their many shortcomings. they’re just wishes. fantasies.

One thing which genuinely bothers me is Annabeth's perception in the fandom. How she's seen as this cold, stoic, emotionless, reserved and intimidating girl. When in reality, she's a character full of love.

Annabeth, who immediately cried and felt attached to Cerberus after playing with him for a few minutes because she wouldn't get to play with him again.

Annabeth, whose deepest desire, which the Sirens lured her with, is saving Luke and having a good relationship with both her parents.

Annabeth, who believed in Luke's goodness, even after all the countless terrible things he did simply because she had faith in his humanity.

Annabeth, who cried in Percy's arms before entering the labyrinth and refused to reveal the last line of the prophecy because it said to lose a love worse than death and the idea of losing any of her friends is too painful, heartbreaking and worse than dying.

Annabeth, who kissed Percy before parting with him in St. Helens because if he's going to die, she at least wants him to die knowing she loved him.

Annabeth, who took a poisoned knife for Percy during the war because she'd rather die herself than let him die.

Annabeth, who convinced Luke to switch sides by reminding him of the promise of family he gave her. Which in turn, influenced Luke's decision to end himself to destroy Kronos. Hello, she saved the world with the power of love.

I want to write a book called “your character dies in the woods” that details all the pitfalls and dangers of being out on the road & in the wild for people without outdoors/wilderness experience bc I cannot keep reading narratives brush over life threatening conditions like nothing is happening.

I just read a book by one of my favorite authors whose plots are essentially airtight, but the MC was walking on a country road on a cold winter night and she was knocked down and fell into a drainage ditch covered in ice, broke through and got covered in icy mud and water.

Then she had a “miserable” 3 more miles to walk to the inn.

Babes she would not MAKE it to that inn.

i think renee is a fast and furious fan and an action movie enthusiast….. in the first kevjean fic i’ve ever written there was a scene where she sat jean down and made him watch half of the fast and furious franchise with her and he hated it so bad but he couldnt tell her that so he just sat there very awkwardly the whole time. and renee knew he hated it but she loves the damn movies so much she thought it was a worth it sacrifice. i also love a dyslexia/adhd hc for renee, i think she has a hard time in academia and has a really really really fickle attention span. if you put jean and renee in the same room they might be able to finish a short book between them but its going to take at least 8 hours because they're going to get sidetracked talking to each other about dumb stuff

ex smoker jeremy is still real and beloved in my heart... i think he quit cold turkey in his junior year and it still gets him more often than not, but he's trying and that's all that matters

kevin actually HATES the gym. he will not confess to this in any way shape or form but he genuinely hates it. its so early in the morning and the movements are so repetitive and its so boring. in evermore at least there was the threat of getting beaten up if he didnt do his sets right, but in psu its just plain boring. he will still go but he will hate every second. get this man to a court now

jean is horrible with performing small actions :) i think he has big shaky hands that struggle w the minutiae of any process ever. you do NOT want to ask this man to put thread through a needle or give you an injection or pack you a bowl or even light your cigarette. the #irreversible damage of multiple head injuries

I present an AU

In a world where there is no Boy Who Lived, Harry goes into property development and eventually finds his way into home renovations and flipping. He doesn’t tend to go for your ordinary fixer uppers but instead cursed houses. Because they’ve got charm (okay, maybe it extends a little more than just a charm). Because, to be unflinchingly honest, normal houses are boring.

So Harry likes the houses that have dark pasts, that other renovators and real estate agents have trouble getting off the market. He likes them even when they call him crazy and laugh that he’ll never be able to resell.

I love the idea of Harry buying this fancy estate, maybe something like Grimmauld Place, but it hates him and flights back every time he tries to do any kind of work on it.

I’m talking cupboards refusing go open when he tries to replace hinges only to smack open just as he’s about to give up and giving him a bloody nose. The door refusing to cooperate when he arrives every day, not unlocking and not opening when he finally brute forces the lock open.

I love the idea of him threatening the house, arguing, bargaining, bribing, and begging in turns while neighbours and passers by (muggle and wizard alike) goggle at him and thinking he’s insane. I love the idea od Harry having to smile, make awkward small talk and try to make people believe he’s normal despite months of this behaviour.

I love the idea of Draco, maybe a neighbour, maybe working nearby, watching all of this and slowly (and reluctantly) starting to have feelings about someone who’s absolutely insane. (And maybe sitting on his feelings because he knows Harry’s time is limited, and when he’s done working on the house, he’ll move on to the next one and leave Draco behind, and all he’ll have is memories that might actually be a weird fever dream.)

I love the idea (so much) of the house doing its damnedest to sabotage every effort Harry makes to flirt with Draco and trying so hard to play it off as being “sooo normal, it’s fine, we get along great! Honestly, it’s just being playful we have a great relationship. I love when the house keeps almost dismembering me! What? No, the fact that I nearly had 17 meltdowns when I did the double glazing and am now scared to go near windows probably for the rest of my life isn’t a trauma response!”

I especially love the idea of, despite Draco’s issues, them getting together like a 90s romance flick:

When the project is in its final stages of wrapping up and Harry has (despite the odds and the house’s best efforts to thwart him) fixed it up, Draco—stressed and emotionally overwhelmed by the thought of never seeing Harry again and missing out on the chance of happiness—runs after him and makes his great big confession. And then Harry goes, “not saying no, but, uh, I’m going to be around for the next six weeks at least to do staging and see if we can’t break some of the curses that would probably have any new owners dead in the first couple days. I was planning on asking you out before I left. Christ, Malfoy, I just closed on a property down the road, I’m not moving to a remote tropical island.”

So Punk!Percy is cool has a decent aesthetic and all but the problem I have is that Percy genuinely isn't a rebel and is mostly a straight laced guy who has a look and a few hobbies that make him LOOK like a rebel like Skating and Alt Rock.

He also is thought of as Lazy and Unmotivated, a rebel because of people judging his ADHD and Dyslexia symptoms without actually acknowledging that he has them and helping him adjust.

Like as soon as he has a teacher that actually likes him and tries to show interest Percy is desperate to be a good student and live up to those expectations. Both Chiron and Paul show that off.

Percy isn't a rebel or social outcast, he's just a straightforward guy who doesn't take shit from assholes. It's just most teachers judge him before ever actually knowing who he is.

No hate on the trope I've read posts where it's done VERY well I just find it funny that Percy is always the Punk in PunkXPrep Percabeth stories when Annabeth is the one who ran away at 7, who freely steals from mortals whenever it's actually needed and who is fully ready to shank a bitch no hesitation when needed.

Also Annabeth is the one who was partially raised by and looks up to Mrs.Spiked Braclets-Black-Leather-Green-Day Fan Thalia Grace. She has way more punk vibes than Percy.
