Aging is interesting!

My eyesight has declined severely since 2020!

I have a doc appt to get lasik. Do I qualify? Who knows? I may have to go back to NYC to do it!

My hearing, umm has sharpened!

I hear everything!!!!! I have Misophonia and it is the worst!

Also, I cannot stand British accents (all of them)! Noises far away, I hear them’

People who have a lot (not middle class but super affluent millionaires) money do not have enough chores in their lives and get bored and call their stupid choices “blowing off steam!” 🙄

Let me not get so bored that I start wrecking my life and the life of my loved ones.

Made time today to have husband and the kids come to campus to help me set up a bunch of new furniture and my walking pad. It took 2 hours and what a difference it is to have my space reflect my energy and make it welcoming. The hammock chair is my fave!

The owner and director of our preschool back in Elmhurst, Queens was out running (her thing, ran marathons, super fit) and got hit by a car. She was rushed to the hospital but she did not make it. Huge loss! Her only child was about to graduate from college. A little tiny preschool w/ 4 sections for ages: 2, 3, and 2 sections of Pre-K.

We loved Ms. Elisa. Still do not when I will tell the kids. Ugh! Heartbroken. She was only 58. Too soon! Rest in Power, Ms. Elisa.

And my Maine Lobstah gets stuck in CO. Big storm. Instead of getting home tonight, he will arrive Saturday afternoon…almost evening!

Will have to bring kids to work with me on Friday. It’a the beginning of their third quarter break.

I do love raising my kids where coming to a college campus is just a fun day with Mami. Who doesn’t love college kids at their young age?

Solo week #3 ahead.

Work trips are such a weird mix of busy & quiet.

Kids align in some areas; others (youngest knows he can sleep w me)!

I had a quick trip to Charlotte last week. Tell me why they were out of the door 5 min before they were supposed to in the an… 🤷🏻‍♀️

The logistical pretzel of work travel is not for the disorganized. I struggle with baby lag…but we keep it moving.

Tuesday are so nice but every other Tues, the cleaning crew comes and the house is cleannnnned and the laundry is done (by me) but so easy since the other big chore is done by the fairies I pay! And then we sleep on clean sheets and clean everything after everythang showers.

Sheets get changed every Tuesday regardless but the deep clean is every other week and man, it is so neat!

60 valentines. 12 choc oreo cupcakes, and 25 Cupid DunKings donuts!

Next balloons for my bday boy tomorrow. His bday banner is so cute!

Spent the am sorting clothes as the full moon makes me get all ocd. I get rid off of a ton of things. If It cannot find you a home—bye! Swap bag, donations or trash! Make room please!

Once a month purge; then I sit down and plan for my week!

Baby boy will turn 11 on Wed and my heart is just confused at how fast this is! 💕 grateful for growing little people but man, slow down!

Went to Publix for the first time ever. I know. 🫣 18 months in the South… 🤦🏽‍♀️😝 the thing is that I had a friend who is very picky say:

I never shop there!

So, I figured it was really bad since the spelling was not correct…

We had just moved here and Harris Teeter was a mile away. I never went, was not curious, nor asked why?!

It turns my picky friend has been managing a strict food budget then & the place is expensive. My opinion: all supermarkets are expensive because I buy in bulk. My humans eat well so… 🤣 Costco ho’ here!

Anyway, I went and got frozen sweet plantains to make with frijoles volteados (guatemalan black beans) because Ian loves them! Pic later!

Grateful for a husband that enjoys having a kitchen cutie (the equivalent of a passenger princess) on Thanksgiving. That’s me!💕

This fall feels very much like the fall of 2001 and 2016.

And, my husband’s town was under attack; no, still under attack because they have not found the active shooter.

Places we have eaten and frequent because that’s where he grew up whenever we visit, blocks away from where my FIL is recovering after major surgery, and overall TOO close to home.

The whole state is shut down.

But prayers and “we love our guns” continues!
