Grogu with space mooncake 🥮
It’s soooo late, but I wanted to finish this sketch I started for the Star Wars Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration in September. Thanks so much @oloreaa for organizing it!
As a Chinese American, mooncakes are my fav part of the holiday :’) My backstory for the image is that Din and Grogu come across a night market where folks of all cultures are celebrating the autumn harvest on their planet, and Grogu finds a stand where space!Chinese or Vietnamese folks are making mooncakes. The stand can create mooncake molds on the spot with any design, so Grogu points to the mudhorn signet on Din’s shoulder and they make it for him. Din is very reluctant about this whole transaction but pays for it anyways after seeing this face. (The mooncake is supposed to be colored to match its meiloorun paste filling, but I realized it just looks like a normal earth mooncake lol).
[Image description: A digital full body drawing of Grogu. He is looking upwards with a pouty expression and holding a yellow/orange/red mooncake with a bite taken out of it. The mooncake has the mudhorn signet printed on it surrounded by flowery designs.]

One of the new recipes that I’m trying.
One of the ways I try to beat my executive dysfunction is to relate tasks to my special interest. For example I got a Star Wars cookbook to help me enjoy fixing meals for myself.

I’ve discovered diamond painting and it’s such a stimmy activity. I’m loving it. It’s really relaxing and great for bad mental health days.
This is the piece that I’m currently working on. Star Wars is my SI so it’s doubly enjoyable.

Hospitals are timeless places. I spent 7 days in one and not once was I correct about the time of day.

This is all of the Star Wars merch that I picked up at comic con.
Plus my Baby Yoda build a bear that didn’t come from comic con. (He’s the one by the pillow)

Let disabled people make their own calls on what activities are worth it.
For example- I went to comic con this weekend. I stood for a long time in a hot, crowded environment. A situation that I know will aggravate my POTS and cause my joint pain to worsen. As well as being overstimulating. I will need at least one recovery day if not more. BUT I loved it. For me it’s worth the price that I will have to pay.
I have to pay a price for every activity that I do. And only I can decide which of those activities are actually worth it.

Baby Yoda’s pajama set that I sewed myself. This is my first completed sewing project and I’m pretty proud of it.

My first attempt at making clothes for Baby Yoda. I’m pretty happy with how it came out. I made it out of one of my ruined shirts.

My joints love hot baths but every time I take one there’s at least a 50% chance that I’ll pass out.
