Maria Hill Headcanon

Maria plays the violin. Almost no one knows about this and they're always surprised when they find out.

When she was new in SHIELD and fresh out of the Marines, she had a lot of flashbacks about the Afghanistan tour where her team was killed. Her PTSD was at its worst and she spent most of her nights tossing and turning in her bed.

Fury was concerned about her and asked Coulson to do something about it. Coulson, being him, bought a violin and showed up at Maria's room with it. His lame excuse was that it was an early birthday gift.

While she was reluctant to use Coulson's gift, once she began playing she fell in love with the instrument. She took lessons in between her missions and went to violin concerts. It was while playing violin that she could let go of all her worries, anxieties and burden. It became her solace.

Wow there are so many replies on this post and yes, I do believe that Gideon would be a better Janet now.

Just imagine a human disaster Eleanor! Sara who is drowning herself in self hatred because she doesn't belong in the Good place, Janet! Gideon being the absolute sassy smartass not-robot not-lady with Michael! Rip being basically, well, himself.. I personally think Nate would be more like Jason than Ray, but both work ig. Chidi! Ava is such a disaster person I love it. Charlie and Z are only there for the drama (and all that frozen yoghurt). Mona is one of the Architect's assistant and has a betting pool for all her ships. Gary, for the most part, doesn't know what's going on.

Legends of Tomorrow finale spoilers ahead!!

Hi I just watched the Legends season finale and?????? I'm very conflicted..

On one hand it was a great way to wrap up the season. We got sad endings (Nate and Zari 1.0), happy endings (almost everyone else) and got a proper end to Charlie's character arc. It was all handled really well and felt very wholesome, all in typical Legends fashion.

But like, on the other hand, Sara getting abducted by aliens.. like yes we knew it could happen and they had to give a slight nudge towards the next season, but I mean I feel like they didn't give her time to process all the trauma they put her through.

She spent the first half battling encores, then had to say goodbye to Ray and Nora, then fought Atropos, DIED, went into a coma, lost her eyesight, gained another kind of sight, became immortal for a day, fought Zombies, DIED AGAIN, lived as a TV show character for sometime, fight the same fate that killed her once battle all the encores all over again, say goodbye to Charlie, and then finally when she could catch a breath, GOT ABDUCTED BY ALIENS!!!

Give my girl a break. Let her process all the trauma and I don't know maybe cuddle with her time wife..

Natasha: The first Pride Parade that Natasha attended was with the Avengers. Before Avengers, she and Clint would make plans for Pride but never got the time to actually attend one. There was always something, sometimes missions, or one of them being injured or suspended.

Natasha loves Pride. She loves the fact that Tony manages to be an absolute Bi Mood and Steve always protects the younger members from the protesters. She loves to be an example for young girls who look up to her both as a superhero and as a powerful outspoken queer woman. She feels like she can finally express herself and not be condemned for it.

Maria: Maria's first Pride was one she attended in high school. She skipped school and went alone, lying low and not bring any attention to herself. She didn't tell anyone about being a lesbian till her time in SHIELD. Rumor has it that Fury took her to a Pride Parade in DC wearing a shirt saying "I ❤️ my lesbian daughter". Both neither confirm nor deny the story.

After the downfall of SHIELD, she attends Pride with the Avengers. She stays close to Natasha and watches as the Avengers embarrass themselves. She likes how the circumstances have changed since the first time and she isn't afraid and alone anymore.

The legends have seen many Pride Parades across history, including the very first one. Sara knows she cannot change the course of history, but she has watched the struggle the people have gone through in the past, and some that still do in the present. She lets these people inspire her, drive her to be the biggest Fuck You to all the homophobes she meets.

Ava: Ava hadn't been to any Pride Parades before meeting the legends, not really. She has fake memories of going to one in college with some friends, but those memories aren't real. The first Pride she attends is with Sara and the rest of the Legends.

Ava is really not prepared for the amount of enthusiasm aand chaos. She doesn't expect anything else from the legends, but it's still a bit overwhelming. The legends are all wearing pride capes, t shirts and other merch. She lets Sara paint a rainbow on her left cheek and the lesbian pride flag on the right. She's surprised by the warm welcome she gets and the kind of enthusiasm in the people. Right then, standing beside Sara, watching the colorful atmosphere around her, she feels accepted.

Hey guys!

It's almost Pride month!!

This Pride I want to try something new. I'll be writing headcanons, dialogues or short ficlets for Blackhill and Avalance everyday. I don't really have a prompt list or anything but I'd really appreciate it if you guys sent in prompts, or really anything you would like to see.

The prompts can be for one of the two ships or both individually or them interacting. Again, I haven't done this before so I'm just winging it.

Sara is naturally the top in the relationship. She is comfortable with her sexuality and bold in bed as she is otherwise. Ava, on the other hand, gives out a top vibe in the beginning, with the whole commanding personality and boss lady thing. But for Ava, she's always felt like she needs to stay in control, perfectly poised and professional. When she discovers her past, she realises that these qualities were programmed into her, to make her a better Agent, and later, a better Director.

Their dynamic shifts after Ava realises that she no longer needs to be in control all the time. She lets Sara guide her and they both change according to the other's need.

Sara tops most of the time. She knows what she's doing and enjoys having her way with Ava. She loves discovering new kinks with Ava, being adamant that Ava shouldn't have to rely on fake memories and experiences.

Ava now feels more comfortable surrendering to Sara. She feels safe around Sara and knows Sara will take care of her and love her endlessly.

But there are times when Sara is feeling disoriented, lost. Particularly after tough missions or when something happens that brings up her past. In these cases, Ava acts as the soft top and takes care of Sara, makes sure that Sara doesn't get lost in her head for a long time. She holds Sara and kisses her gently, reminds her that she doesn't have to go through anything alone. She has Ava and the legends.

Blackhill:

There are many different schools of thought regarding this relationship dynamic.

In my opinion, despite her fearsome reputation, Natasha doesn't particularly like to be the top with Maria. For the longest time, she's thought of sex as just another weapon in her arsenal, something she uses in a mission. She's been taught to change according to her mark's preference.

She tried to do this with Maria, but Maria recognised the tactic immediately. It takes both of them a long time to open up to each other and let the sex mean something other than a friends with benefits situation.

Nat knows all the ways to manipulate a person using sex. And that is why she prefers not having to make the calls when she's with Maria. She likes how Maria makes her feel like she doesn't have to be someone else, that can be herself, she can have preferences, likes and dislikes.

Maria takes comfort in having control over her life. In the past, both with her father and in the military, she didn't have control over the situation and regrets the circumstances it led to. So now she likes knowing what she's doing, taking things where she wants to and stopping them when she needs to. She also likes making Nat feel amazing, beautiful and cherished. She's a borderline service top.

There are also times when Maria let's Nat take control. They take some time to get here. This level of trust isn't shared in weeks, months even. But when Maria truly let's go, Natasha always shows Maria how much she means to her.
