can we have a preview of the blight fic

Hunter removed his mask knowing it naturally lent authority to his tone and he wanted to assure that this came not as a demand or something official but a personal request from the heart. He had rehearsed it in the mirror for hours, imagined and planned different scenarios of varying grandness but he didn’t want it confused for a spectacle.

“Mrs. Blight, I’ve come here to ask for your blessing,” he said, certain and nervous in a way that made the contraction feel welcoming.

“Blessing? Blessing for what, exactly?”

He took a deep breath to better brace himself and his heavy eyes were serious and sincere as the words entered the world outside his bedroom for the first time.

“I believe I am in love with your daughter.”

I don’t always have a title for my WIPs so I’m gonna try and think of working titles that can spark interest without giving too much away (because I literally call them like doc 1 or doc 2 and my brain just remembers I guess but it’s not helpful lol) They’re all huntlow and owl house because that brainrot has yet to fade.

WISH SPOILERS

I really do love a lot of the references they tried to put in this movie but the writing is just so scattered it felt forced. Like the lore was just missing so much and the characters felt half finished. The backstory was vague and the king as a villain was so basic like I knew it wasn’t a twist or shock that he was a villain but he just wasn’t unique. And also if Asha is supposed to become like the first fairy godmother I feel like she should be an actual godmother first that’s so random. Also the whole vibe around wishes is so vague like they could have fleshed out that ideology so much better. Idk maybe I’m just salty because I haven’t really loved a Disney movie since Encanto so I can admit I’m very biased.

I’m like 30 minutes into Wish and I wanted so much to like this movie despite everything I’ve heard but so far the songs just feel clunky and the dialogue feels forced and repetitive. Like it’s such a good idea but it feels like they rushed so much and for why??? Like I know the writers’ strike was happening but were they not planning this far enough in advance to have anything like thought through a bit better? Like I’ve seen the concept art and the math isn’t matching. I don’t want to be a hater I just wanted so much more for this movie. Maybe my feelings will change as it goes on but dang I guess
