Synopsis: Bucky tends to have his feelings muted, never feeling too sad or too happy about anything. A trip home to meet his sister’s family has a stop off at his parent’s graves he finally lets himself feel the grief over the things he’s lost and the things that happened to him, which leaves room for some happiness to come in too.
Grief
Bucky held on to your hand like if he let go he was going to drown. As tightly as he held your hand, you knew he was holding back. He could crush your bones like they were twigs without even exerting himself. The fact that he was clinging to you so tightly and yet holding himself back at the exact same time summed Bucky up really well. He could never just emote the way he wanted to. He could never just show how happy he was, or how upset, or how angry. When he started to feel happy, guilt about his past would slam into him and he’d drop instantly. If he was angry or frustrated or just sad, he knew how easily he could end up hurting himself or other people.
It meant he was often in two different states. Surly and closed off. Or keeping himself so busy he didn’t have time to feel anything.
Like idk what to say. This idea…damn amazing. The feelings were just pouring out of it. I think this is how Bucky would actually have been. It all was represented so well. So fucking good 💛💛💛💛💛

Chapter 29
“Clint, I found it!” You said bursting into the apartment. You almost dropped everything with the way you were laden down with things. You had your diaper bag slung over one shoulder, two shopping bags in your hand and Nattie sleeping peacefully in the car capsule in your other hand, a pizza box balancing on the top of it.
Clint got up and came over, taking Natasha off you and kissing your cheek.
“You bought me pizza?” He asked as he took the box off of her and put it on the kitchen bench.
“It’s from Bleecker Street. Figured you’d ice me out if I went to Brooklyn and didn’t bring you back pizza,” you said.
I have my down moments but, for the most part, I’m a pretty positive person. I just enjoy it. Enjoying don’t mean spending money or doing all that dumb shit, it just means having a laugh. There are people who are doing amazing things in the world, feeding poor kids, taking care of orphans, a billion people teaching our kids at school right now. Those people matter. I put on a costume and f**k around for a few hours every day.
