"What can I say? I like to take my time to look this good." The varcolac said as he approached Roman. He smiled and spun the younger man. "And you look dazzling." Of course Roman almost always looked good. "What shall we do first hmm?"
Roman paced around outside of Krovs town as he waits for his husband to show up while a steady stream of people made their way into town. The familiar fiddled with his ring and shifted his balance from one foot to the other. Roman had dressed to impress his husband and reached up to push his glasses back up the bridge of his nose.
When he finally saw his husband coming over the hill, he breathed a sigh of relief and stopped pacing. “You’re never on time. Always running late.” He smiled.

Avery saw the flames and dodged quickly. Well that was new. He hadn’t been expecting flames out of the man. However his words he did expect. “The only problem if you. Believing I would ever kill someone who mattered the most to you.” Avery replied before dodging the next ball of fire. “I don’t bed and wed Lucien. It shouldn’t matter since according to you I’m not good enough for you and I never mattered enough.” More flames, more dodging. “I never forgot I was married. I just never told you I was. I don’t get why it matters so much to you what I do with my life.” Course he did, but the man was angry which meant there was a chance he would slip up on his words and Avery wanted to know if he could get any truth from them.
Lucien didn't even have the chance to hold his composure. The plant he held caught fire before he threw it at the obnoxious tirbrid. "Because casting insults is going to solve the problem. I see you've chosen to grow yourself. Is this through the help of your husband? How many do you have now I wonder. Is this what wolves do bed and marry everything they see." He spat and pulled out another fist full of plants that caught fire in his anger and threw it at the tribrid. "I'm surprised you're here without him or did you conveniently forget you're married again. How wonderful that is to have such a faulty memory when it suits you." Lucien went for another round of plants to catch fire and throw also not focused on the problem at hand, well he was focused on one problem at hand.

Avery wasn't expecting his hand to land on Lucien of all people. Yet here he was. Standing Avery let his hand be removed before looking at the older man. His gaze studying the other as the words came out of the man's mouth. "Even your lies are bad. You rarely Dance Lucien, let alone with random people. And there is not enough people you'd let lay their hands on you to fill that card." A smirk played on his lips. "Roman is off doing some other things currently. But I plan to dance with him too. As for your brother, I think when it comes to dancing you have better feet than him. By a little." As much as he disliked seeing Lucien again, he did like the idea of bothering him. Perhaps tormenting the older could be fun.
Lucien looked at the hand and who it was attached to before stepping from its grip. "I believe you already have a certain familiar that can fill that spot for you Mr. Thomson." Lucien said and made a display of wiping his shoulder with a gloved hand. "My dance card is full this evening." Granted Lucien was actually free since Raphael was currently having some sort of dick measuring contest with Raiden and when the two started in on each other it was near impossible to get either to relent until their pissing contest was resolved. That didn't mean for a second he was going to tolerate Avery after the disrespect the younger had spouted to him. "Or if you are really so desperate I'm sure my brother is somewhere around."

Avery quickly caught the falling man and laughed when he saw the boy’s face and costume. “And you as well. I see you haven’t been let off of heel duty.” Helping the boy on two feet the tribrid did another look over. “Makes me want to misbehave so you can attempt to subdue me.”

After a few drinks, Charlie was decidedly less grumpy than he'd been when he first left the castle. Certainly less stable on the heels he was wearing as well, but that hadn't been a problem so far for the dragon. At least not until now when someone knocked into Charlie and he was pitched forward, reaching out to grab onto the nearest person to steady himself. Lucky for him it was someone that the dragon already knew. "Avery!" He greeted loudly and with a wide, pleased grin, still clinging onto the man. "Very nice costume."

Avery had been growing ever increasingly bored. Sure he had people to bother, but with the ties cut and burned with the French man he found himself rather....grey. It was dull. It seemed he would need to find someone new to keep him entertained at this rate. Though it would be hard to do as most at the castle didn't hold as much fun. Still, he supposed he should try. What with halloween and then the holiday coming up, he would need someone to torment and rip costumes off.
His head was clouded and he hated it. He decided a trip to the green house might help. The flower scents and different plants usually helped. He often went and brushed up on his plant knowledge and herbs. With him having his witch side now Avery knew he'd need to learn what plants went with spells. Journal in hand he moved through the area. Smiling when he came upon some favorites and jotting down new ones.
However he instantly went on guard when the alarm went off and the building was locked down. He groaned knowing either it was a dumbass stealing or a literal emergency he would need to fight. But who would be dumb enough to steal a plant? Actually a lot of people. However someone breaking in? That was concerning. Until he was face to face with the man he was trying to clear his head of. A look of disgust came across Avery's face as he met the other's gaze. "I'd ask you the same thing, but it seems your the empty head who is causing the lock down. For a doctor you're very stupid." His hand gesturing to the plants.
Lucien was in a better mental state than he had been. Having hit full rock bottom meant he really only had one way to go and he was not the type to stay idle. He currently was in the greenhouse actually needing a few plants for something he was working on. He wasn't asking for permission in what he was taking. Why would he as a councilman. His funding was what supported the castle, therefore, what was in the greenhouse was his by proxy, or so he surmised.
Of course he'd been there for awhile as there'd been a few people lingering. Eventually he was alone, or had assumed he was alone and started to take what he needed. Lucien, being Lucien, didn't take just what he needed, but uprooted an entire plant when he needed just a flower or a leaf. It was asinine to have to come back for another sample and he wasn't going to pick things like a common animal.
What he hadn't anticipated was that such an action would set off security protocols in the area and the greenhouse would become, essentially, a prison in a matter of seconds. Lucien became aware of this when he saw the gates coming down on the greenhouse windows. Ones made of his least favorite of elements as of recent; iron. For the moment he ignored it still gathering what he needed. It wasn't the priority and by the time it was it would obviously resolve itself or so he had thought until he rounded the corner to get a rare item that he was pretty sure could only be found in this greenhouse and it wasn't what he'd run into, though Avery too was a rare item only found in this castle.
To say Lucien was happy to see the man was a lie as his eyes narrowed at the younger. "What are you doing here?" As if Avery was the one in the wrong, while Lucien had a hand full of plants in one hand looking slighted at the tribrid not at all forgetting their last exchange.

His costume was simple sure, but Avery made sure it looked nice. The fake horns might just get the attention of a certain grade A ass. He didn’t plan to do a lot of partying, but he did enjoy some drinks at the bar he was currently sat at. He sipped his Bloody Mary and ordered a blood wine as well. Avery decided he needed something to do. So the next person that walked passed he turned and put a hand on their shoulder without really looking. “How about a few drinks and then we enjoy some of the things going on around here? I need something to entertain me.”

"Yes it is nice. As much as I hate to admit how happy I am about it, I suppose I will." Avery teased pulling Roman in to kiss the top of his head. The festival was always fun, and Avery did enjoy it the best out of all the ones thrown. "So what did you want to do first? We have plenty of time to hit as many things as you'd like."
Halloween night had arrived at Krovs castle and Roman was where he spent 99.9% of his time outside of the Undercroft, with his husband Avery. The familiar hung on his lovers arm as they strolled down the street, looking at the decorations and festivities occurring. Roman was dressed like Billy Loomis from Scream, a white shirt stained with blood and specks of blood on his lips. "It's nice that we're spending Halloween together again." He smiled and brought Avery's hand up to his lips to kiss. "You look beautiful tonight as well, but I'm sure that you already know that."

Avery watched as Seth tried to get up, but he wouldn't let him. His claw slashed the man's back tearing the clothing. As Seth managed one knee and passed out Avery planned to break every finger that had a ring on it, but was grabbed by a few guards and pulled away from the witch. Bloody and definitely unmoving, he watched as the witch was put on a stretcher and quickly rushed out. To the doctor no doubt. Seth would need time to heal. Avery won and he was glad the witched learned his lesson as he lost.
Oh fuck. Seth definitely took a risk with that move but his calculations were way off. Werewolves were known for being temperamental and yep this one was pissed off. He cried out and yelled from each assault, his vision blacking out ever so briefly when his head made impact against the ground. He coughed and groaned underneath the varcolac, still attempting to push himself up with his non-broken arm. He was used to getting beat up as a kid, this wasn't much different... just a little rougher when it was a goddamned varcolac. He could still fight. He could. Seth made it up on one knee. Blood oozed from the wound in his head and his vision blurred. He swayed and his eyes rolled back as he collapsed on the ground unconscious.

Avery was honestly getting bored of this. At this point he just wanted it to be over. It was frustrating the amount of time it was taking. He watched annoyed as Seth managed to block the objects. And as he stared at Seth and stepped aside from the rock he felt a brief wind and as he turned a hand with silver was on his face. Cursing he reacted quickly. Grabbing Seth's arm and breaking it. "You fucking shit." He growled now more pissed than he had been before. His eyes glowed and his fangs came out as the claws grew. "I was going to play nice." He said before grabbing the witches head to bash against the first hard surface he could. "I'm going to drain you dry."
Seth was a lot more nimble in the air than on his feet. He swerved and dodged and incinerated Avery's projectiles. He stopped the last boulder in its tracks right in the nick of time and shot it back down at the varcolac below. A wave of red washed over Seth but seemed to have no effect in the moment that anyone could discern save for the witch who cast the illusionary swap. While Avery busied himself with the new fake Seth up in the air, the real Seth had teleported back down to the ground and appeared behind the older man. The rings adorning his hand transmuted into silver right before he reached out and grabbed at the only area of exposed skin he saw to burn it –– Avery's face.

Curse this damn witch. He should have know flying was normal for him. Still, Avery knew it wouldn't be long. After all this was taking up a lot of magic and energy so Seth would run low eventually and Avery could easily take him down. The rapid attack had Avery dodging and moving to higher ground. Sure he wouldn't reach the man but it was better than being far away. But then the ground shook causing the tribrid to stumble. He caught himself and moved faster till he was high enough. With a grin he ripped big branches from trees near by and flung the sharp ends to the other. One by one and then a few boulders. It would take a lot for Seth to maintain his flight while dodging and using the energy.
Seth quickly caught himself mid-air, the young witch no stranger to levitating and flying around just for fun. In fact, he actually preferred higher ground (or air) so Avery helped him out. "Never needed a broom, dog breath," he snapped back, floating higher and higher up so that it'd likely be difficult for the varcolac to reach him. He waved his hands about, firing off rapid energy projectiles at the older man down below. Another thrust of his palm downwards shot his magic into the earth, causing it to quake and crack to knock Avery off his feet in hopes of landing a few energy shots.

“That’s too bad.” Playing with a witch would have been much fun. He was about to make a new move but the slippery magic boy teleported. Turning he saw the fireball and rolled across the ground before pushing himself up and grabbing a boulder which he hurled at the fire. Following close behind it he ducked when the two collided. Moving himself into the perfect position to kick Seth’s feet from under him, grab him, and throw him as far as the boy could fly before hitting the ground. “You don’t even need a broom stick this time.”
"Not interested," Seth replied, making a face. Avery also wasn't his type aside from brown hair and brown eyes in the physical sense. He wasn't huge on wolves, especially alpha ones. He didn't have time to react before he realized Avery was right behind him and he hit the ground with a harsh grunt, grimacing from the ache upon impact that would surely leave a nice bruise. Course Seth being competitive wasn't going down easily and recovered enough to collect himself. He teleported out from underneath Avery and reappeared a good distance away from the varcolac. He thrust out his hand and shot a blast of fire right at him.

Avery briefly stumbled back before grinning. This witch was going to be fun. "If you're this enticing in here, I wonder how enticing you'll be in the castle. Might need to come find you after." In seconds he was behind Seth. Arms wrapping around the man to capture his arms at his side as Avery lifted and then slammed down. His body landing fully on Seth's to knock the air out of the boy.
Avery's fist made contact against a hard surface, Seth quick enough to erect a shimmering red energy barrier between himself and the varcolac before he could connect. The barrier came down almost immediately after so that the witch could counter, his magic visible along his knuckles and forearm as he shot an uppercut punch at the older man's jaw, the blow significantly enhanced by his magic.

Ok now that took Avery a second to gather. No one talked about his mother. The little trick with the earth was cute. As he came down from the air the master was quick and moved to knock Seth’s feet from under him and within seconds connect his fist tot he boy’s gut.
Seth grunted when he fell although he'd taken a lot harder hits than a tumble like that. "Tastes like your fucking mom," he retorted, smacking his palm on the ground. The earth underneath Avery's feet shot up quick like a pillar, launching the varcolac in the air.

"Buy me a costume? I don't think I trust you to pick something out that fits." He teased worried Roman would go for something that would be far from what he usually wore. "Spooky? How spooky? We talk blood and terrifying spooky or like fun spooky?" Not that he would really care, but Avery would prefer dark and bloody. But he knew Roman wasn't the dark and gore type to the same extent.
Roman gave a bright smile when he was told they could decorate and go shopping, his head nodding up and down eagerly as he handed the pumpkin over to the worker and told them that if they ruined his pumpkin, he'd beat them up. At Avery's question, he paused and look around before looking back at his husband, reaching down to grab Avery's hand. "Uhhhh, decorations. I wanna make your suite spooky. Buy you a costume."

It had been awhile since he got to celebrate anything with Roman. So he couldn't say no. "Sure hun. We can go shopping for decorations if you'd like." Pulling out his wallet Avery flagged down the person selling them. "Please, have this sent to my suite." He tipped the person extra to make sure it was delivered promptly. "Where shall we look first?"
Roman nodded like a bobblehead when asked if he wanted to take it home and carve it, but after a moment he spoke up since he wasn't sure that Avery could see his face. "yes please, I have a billion different designs in mind. Can we decorate your suite? like we did when we were in France?" Roman tried his best not to think about the Halloween's where Avery wasn't around but the pictures of the holiday without the man caused the familiar to frown and sigh.
