Are you ok? Lacking motivation/ideas? Just taking a break from this blog?

You should have seen how surprised I was to get a notification from this blog considering how long it's been since I've logged in LOL

I feel a bit bad realizing I never posted a proper hiatus message, turns about being an adult and maintaining a house is hard!

I'm fine, thank you for asking! Just a whole lot more busy than I used to be. I don't have as much time or energy to devote to drawing or any hobbies anymore. Time I would've spent drawing updates is now spent learning how to garden, fixing up the house, and panicking at whatever world crisis hits us next.

On top of that, admitably, I've been pretty wrung dry on drawing pokemon for a while (I mean I ran this blog for about 3 years straight with near-constant updates, and never even started the main story LOL). I'm still drawing, but much more slowly. At the moment I'm pretty neck deep in the depths of the Undertale fandom, and drawing something that ISN'T a pokemon is pretty refreshing.

I don't think I'll be continuing this blog specifically. As fun as ask blogs are, trying to bundle story telling with community input is hard even if you're an adept writer and planner. Of which, I am neither LOL. This blog specifically went through 4 story revisions, and while I'm happy with the one I've got now, it doesn't have room for inter-blog character interactions like the other ones did. (And also has literally nothing to do with ANY of the plot stuff I actually started on the blog, which would mean a TOTAL overhaul of everything I've ever posted)

That being said, I am NOT done with these characters. One of my side projects I've been doing is learning how to animate, and I actually do have plans for a story containing these characters in an animatic/animated form, since I want to emphasize White's use of ASL/JSL and some of the weirder quirks I've put on the battling system. The problem with this is I need to have a much better understanding of ASL to do this and learning languages is hard, on top of wanting to educate myself more on Deaf culture to make White more believable as a character. ALSO, animating is really hard. Like. Really really hard. But I'm trying!

If you're curious to see what I'm up to, my newer personal Tumblr is over here, and when I happen to have time to make them I post completed pictures and comics to my Ko-Fi page. Once I get started on storyboarding AwakenedMewtwo-But-This-Time-I-Animated-it I'll post sneak peeks on there for the lovely folks who support me and are currently suffering through my Undertale content lol.

As for now, I have no plans to return to this blog except to announce that animated reboot if I ever get the time and motivation to make it. That being said, no need to panic because I won't be deleting anything! This blog is an archive of all the fun times that were had here in the community and it's been fun!
