y'know, i did purposefully choose sundays as the day for my weekly shot

#it's been a year and two weeks on t fellas #how has it felt like no time and absolutely a decade all at once? #my mother send a group text this morning to my brothers and me to remind us it's holy week #god help poor jesse who she's 100% going to make watch the passion of the christ with her on sunday #i suffered through that movie every year since 2004 and jim caviezel owes me financial compensation at this point #anyway i forgot it was palm sunday and spent literally all day playing a new save in stardew valley for the 1.6 update #anyone who says it's a relaxing farming sim has never actually played the game #i keep a notepad next to me and the wikia open to coordinate my daily/weekly objects #i mean i suppose it's relaxing to a certain subset of players (me) but it's not like idk animal crossing's low stakes #i lost the plot of this post

i also may have overreacted. just a little bit.

if i drown myself right now i won't have to deal with the fact literally half my coaches aren't going to be here on the first day of speing practice. one i already knew about and had planned for so it's not that big of a deal, but that plan hinged on one of the other coaches. who is apparently already working a lifeguard shift at the same time and didn't get either shift covered.

i should have double checked her schedule. i should have made sure she got her lifeguard shift covered but christ above i'm already doing everything else. the schedule has been out for three weeks. she also knew there was a conflict. why didn't she say something to me or to our boss to get it changed or covered??????

i had our number of swimmers set to four coaches. like. theoretically, yes, two coaches could probably take on this group, if we were a real competitive swim team with coaches used to high numbers. HOWEVER WE ARE NOT, and one of my coaches is a nervous teenager who i was trying to ease back into coaching after fall! and now she's going to be taking on HALF of the team.

i'm going to scream!

and you KNOW this also had to happen the first day of swim lessons too, to make me extra stressed out! so i can't even split my time bc first days are always chaotic in a bad way and parents are so fucking needy on saturdays and preschool is a mess. i fucking hate saturday swim lessons! absolutely useless. anyway! not the point!

the point is i'm going to grab a dive brick and sink into the dive well and not come back!

#i mean i did have to get in for preschool bc two of our new assistants looked at me with such fear in the eyes #over a crying child and i was already wet from coaxing another child in so #god i need a nap #and lunch #and maybe a backbreaking hug #and to be told i'm a good boy #channeling my preschoolers rn #mostly i need food and sleep
