So I’m gonna go back to my other blog BUT I SHANT REPEAT MYSELF.

1) Ian Ousley is Cherokee of the Kentucky Cherokee Tribe, are they federally recognized? No. Does that make them any less valid? No. Because a LOT of tribes lose their recognition because the federal government likes to break their treaties and stop paying the tribes what they are owed. This technically means that Ian Ousley can call himself a displaced native.

2) There are a LOT of displaced natives in acting who never grew up in the place they claim ancestry (Amber Midthunder, Julia Jones, just general city natives.) And this does not make them any LESS native.

3) I am actually happy he wasn’t in a dress because traditional men and warriors do not dress up like women. I AM sad however he didn’t get that lesson in respecting girls though.

4) hate the whole accusing though that OG Sokka is sexist, he is not sexist. It’s not sexism. It’s culture. Men and women have different duties in culture it’s not an insult it’s how things are.
