chaos.&.the.calm

met up with a friend a few nights back over some games. usual catch-up until talks about past nomadic lifestyle came up, then life. then beer. im not usually the type who picks up talk about life. brain can handle small talks, blabs about poorly thought ideas, and mindlessly stupid and fun drunken conversations. that's the usual extent of it. so, this was a curve ball.

its ironic how sometimes life tells you what you need to hear, not through another person, but yourself. your unsolicited advice ends up convincing, not the the other party, but yourself.

the calm talks about life, himalayas, india etc do stir something inside. something chaotic. the type that leaves you restless and pondering even after a few nights, even when the conversations long ended. it put things in perspective though. sort of a gentle nudge, a good reminder.

happiness.tilted . i follow this awesome travel vlogger and a few days back he posted a new video. it was taken in his hometown of kyiv. the kyiv now- war-torn. in one of the clips was a shot of a mural. still standing in its 20-storey glory. the mural was a stolen photo of mine. a friend said maybe it was meant to be stolen. maybe it was meant to be painted there. and maybe it was meant to still stand now. it is a photo of a child smiling titled happiness.

kintsugi.

got broken last 2021. literally. figuratively. spine injury. slipped disc. it has to be my toughest year to date. the therapy sessions, breakdowns, pipe dream bouts, twas a crazy year. still on recovery mode. it’s one deym long process. not complaining. it’s still progress no matter how slow i guess. still hell bent on getting back to a better form.

india romance. there’s something about it. good week. minor back discomfort. 

last weekend was a blast though. out-of-town trip with adb tennis club. LU. minor waterfall trek on the side. first play and easy hike since the back injury. hope i get to go back to old active regular programming of sorts. hopefully. soon. twas so good to be out in a group for once.

hangover cure. or not. inuman kagabi sa court. tas post game sa laya. amiel, ron, abbu, kurt. lasing. don’t remember half of it. forgot the phone in amiels car. climbed the fukcin fence. with a broken back at that. was too drunk to realize that. tsk. supposed to play this noon. after hitting balls for a few minutes, rain poured hard.
