choose
for the longest time, it feels like I have rush myself. try a lot hobbies, travel as must as i can, try new class, try new circle that maybe i cant fit in.
and i just forget, learn to choose.
i want to live simply, the dream that maybe i was scared to imagine. i just run, run from the thing scared the most. avoiding my triggers isn't healing. the pain itself, part of growing and power. sometimes you just need to accept it.
like every, brewing coffee in the morning, golden sunset, the shore crashing, your favorite music seeps into your soul.
pain itself is something to be grateful for..

the Question
Being in my late 20s, for me, is a chaos and wild ride. There are so many roads that will choose ur character. I've a lot of reading list but seems to be really hard to make it real. Work all day, go to the gym and cook for my meal.. I still try to find good ritme on it. But mostly, i feel like having zero energy, end up with rotting my self on the bed.
recently, i found related post from ig "but being 9 to 5 corporate girly is literally going to work all day. having anxiety about every single meeting that I have to go to. having an overwhelming fear of sounding stupid in those meetings. actually feeling stupid in these f*cking meetings. fearing all day that people think that Im bad at my job". For all the uncertainty, excitement, nervous, pain, and scare. this make me appreciate grow.
The pain part is lossing your person, those leadership feel so expensive. For every effort to make it happened, always choose who will be losser. They keep it silent to make the board keep on place. I just wanna say..
Yes Pak we make it, and we did it

Paper Thin
Through the shadowy door, cold  That bloomed flowers, Is but a recaptured scene
Around, lifting by long night-time movie Resignedly beneath the dark The Paper Thin lie.
In a labyrinth of night And tell you to put the star-light And buries them up quite, deep
those butterflies soaring the sky melts beneath sky, empty-silent.

#LETTER
Dear Myself,
When you were high school, you think working is not about money but also dedication. You hate your math teacher. You hate the fact, your teacher not capable enough to become good teacher. Your teacher always stands for smart student because can afford another math class. Your teacher was ignored another student who need more. With this reason, ended up with you skip the math class.
You always questioning this thing, I hope you okay with the fact you should working hard and continue to learning. Are you capable enough to this? Your value is good, but you should consistent how matter what. You have lost count how much you have cried in toilet, public place or your room because you think you’re not capable enough. You have spent more time for hot coffee, a cup of ice cream or instant ramen alone. Most of all, you need a take break. Isn’t bad lost in your way when all people said to go ahead? They said this is good change for my career. Once I met person in airport, he said to me “You should go ahead, this is right way”. I decide to believe with his words. But to be honest, you were lost for temporary. But let’s dealing with this growing stage, you did good at this. Don’t betrayed your hard work.
After you write for one of online feminist magazine, you have no idea what you wanna write, and became clueless person when talking about writing. Living feels so anxious and most of time you spent on working place.
Slow living is good. Please take care yourself. Live well, life more sustainable with environment, saving more money, and call your mom every time pause for a cup of coffee. That’s all.
Thank you for survive.

Stardust
The impossibility of disappearing Into stardust, into one star, into gazed of horizon the grieved paved and paved into solid scared
as a cloud wandered, floats on high hills – lonely fluttering and dancing in the dark ten thousand I saw you at sparkling glance dance beside waves I gazed, gazed and guess
And then hearth with pleasure fills – thrill of pleasure Frosty air me hopped and played the line I cannot measure but a thousand blended notes had written this solid belief from heaven be sent
composed upon scared bridge, silent, bare.

Adrenaline
“By the age of ten I was acquiring a bit puppy fat. I didn’t see it as much of problem to begin with – in fact, I probably wasn’t even aware of it until He started calling me “the big fat Nancy boy” in his mocking tone. In some ways I could understand his comments about my weight.  I owned a bike. I was desperate to ride it more often. But he said I couldn’t ride it. By that, I don’t mean that he didn’t allow me to ride it – he just believed (on what he dense I’m not sure) that I was physically incapable of riding one. Maybe that fitted in with his definition of a Nancy boy. Nevertheless, I insisted I could ride and wanted to prove it.
I read that story from book, it illustrates the effect of event that happened when someone was young and impressionable and that still has impact on his today. His beliefs about him himself, his level of self-confidence about his appearance and his competence to carry out practical task were all shaped by an episode form the past. This story also happening in everywhere. Human ego naturally being competitive with other. Trying so hard to be dominant and pretentious, a nature dominated by competitiveness and venality. This is kind of circumstance that everyone experience. Expecting to people is types of gray dystopian term. At least we find awfuliser in our life. Awfulisers have habit of turning a minor setback into a drama or a crisis. Also working with awfuliser ca be challenging.
And their fault is? Some of us, only flawless human being. They are just care to much, they over care, they are over-protect.
Many of personal issues we face today stem from our experience in the past. Like domino effect, whether they were due to an overprotective parent or thoughtless teacher. Sometimes an event can lead to major long-term damage, and the other effect’s often minor.
"Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes." – Gandhi
You can only allow people to grow when you withdraw some of your support and help them to discover their own internal resources to cope and survive. That doesn’t mean that abandon them. But ultimately, if they are to learn how to fly they must leave the nest.
In the end of the day, depend on how you define frame of human. If you define human as materialism entity, you can keep the terrible music.

Most Beautiful Word: Motherhood
‘Every decision we make between now and in our children’s lifetimes will determine how human life will fare.’ - AOC
Living in conservative culture is hard. Understanding how living in ideal construction either ideal human being or cultural norm. Living in dream, often clueless where we were ended up. We often forget that world has changed a lot, our generation face different crisis. Why we are still demanding living like ideal human being, isn’t little bit naive? We have no time for fix it, the next step will be critical. And apocalypse is under way.
Recently, I also spent a lot of time reading about how Sunrise Movement become platform for young generation fight for green new deal. Green new deal is political resolution on the floor of the house that aims to address climate change and economic inequality.
“because I would like to be able to be 23 y.o, in the time my parents were able to be 23. They fell in love. They got travel. They planned for their future. In a way that I don’t feel like I can do anymore. Everywhere I go, everywhere I’ve been, I’ve seen the same fear of what there is to come. The world’s best scientists have said that we have 10 years to radically transform our society and our economy to stop worst and most permanent damages of climate change. – Sunrise Movement
While the economic freedom is defined with exploiting Earth’s natural resources. The right to life safety physical aggression have long been recognized as fundamental then became far from liberty. But how far we can run away from permanent damages of climate change. Isn’t it difficult to exercise other freedoms such a dreams of motherhood or even survive. I think motherhood is most beautiful word but society can’t provide a hope, because consequence of our unsustainable way of life. It’s hard to stay optimistic when our leaders still don’t have time to project into our future to see that the climate crisis. When health care system failing apart in pandemic, how we can trust government to provide better future. These reasons lead us to climate anxiety and unexpected pain. Only political will save us, money alone will not save us.
“Every pregnancy is a crisis. Like all crises, they are best managed as a team and not on your own. From the moment of conception, a pregnant person’s body is no longer the same, no matter what romantic fantasy we tell about the miracle of it all.”- Jessa Crispin
If I think future is not belong us anymore, how can I bring a child into it? Could I keep ego in my pocket to taste of motherhood and get ready to bring child into the worse scene of our future, in a time of death?

Building a Story Brand
By Donald Miller
PART I: WHY MOST MARKETING IS A MONEY PIT
Most companies waste enormous amounts of money on marketing. We all know how mind-numbing it is to spend precious dollars on a new marketing effort that gets no results. When we see the reports, we wonder what went wrong, or worse, whether our product is really as good as we thought it was. But what if the problem wasn’t the product? What if the problem was the way we talked about the product? The fact is, pretty websites don’t sell things. Word sell things. And if we haven’t clarified our message, our customers won’t listen.
The first mistake brands make is they fail to focus on the aspects of their offer that will help people survive and thrive. All great stories are about survival — either physical, emotional, relational or spiritual. The second mistake brands make is they cause their customers to burn too many calories in an effort to understand their offer. The most powerful tool we can use to organize information so people don’t have to burn very many calories is story. Story is a sense-making device. It identifies a necessary ambition, defines challenges that are battling to keep us from achieving that ambition and provides
To clarify the message, we’re going to need a formula. A serious formula. This formula needs to organize our thinking, reduce our marketing effort, obliterate confusion, terrify the competition and finally get our businesses growing again.
The Secret Weapon That Will Grow Your Business
To grow your company, you can simplify your message into soundbites that come from seven categories. Once you have these seven messages down, any anxiety you experience talking about your brand will subside, and customers will be more attracted to what you offer.
Here is nearly every story you see or hear in a nutshell: A CHARACTER who wants something encounters a PROBLEM before they can get it. At the peak of their despair, a GUIDE steps into their lives, gives them a PLAN and CALLS THEM TO ACTION. That action helps them avoid FAILURE and ends in a SUCCESS.
Simply put, this framework is the pinnacle of narrative communication. The further we veer away from these seven elements, the harder it becomes for audiences to engage.
The Three Crucial Questions
The greatest enemy our business faces is the same enemy that good stories face: noise. At no point should we be able to pause a movie and be unable to answer three questions: 1. What does the hero want? 2.Who or what is opposing the hero getting what she wants? 3.What will the hero’s life look like if she does (or does not) get what she wants?
And they should be able to answer these questions within five seconds of looking at our website or marketing material: 1. What do you offer? 2.How will it make my life better? 3.What do I need to do to buy it?
The Simple Story Brand (SB7) Framework
Let’s fly over the SB7 framework so you can understand, in summary form, all that it can do to simplify your marketing and messaging.
A Character. Story Brand Principle One: The customer is the hero, not your brand.
Has a Problem. Story Brand Principle Two: Companies tend to sell solutions to external problems, but customers buy solutions to internal problems.
And Meets a Guide. Story Brand Principle Three: Customers aren’t looking for another hero; they’re looking for a guide.
Who Gives Them a Plan. Story Brand Principle Four: Customers trust a guide who has a plan.
And Calls Them to Action. Story Brand Principle Five: Customers do not take action unless they are challenged to take action.
That Helps Them Avoid Failure. Story Brand Principle Six: Every human being is trying to avoid a tragic ending.
And Ends in a Success. Story Brand Principle Seven: Never assume people understand how your brand can change their lives. Tell them.
PART II: BUILDING YOUR STORYBRAND
A story doesn’t really pick up until the hero needs to disarm a bomb, win someone’s heart, defeat a villain or fight for their emotional or physical survival. And then the question becomes: Will the hero get what she wants?
As a brand it’s important to define something your customer wants, because as soon as you define something your customer wants, you posit a story question in the mind of the customer: “Can this brand really help me get what I want?”
Open a Story Gap. Identifying a potential desire for your customer opens a story gap.
Pare Down the Customer’s Ambition to a Single Focus. The most important challenge for business leaders is to define something simple and relevant their customers want and to become known for delivering on that promise.
Choose a Desire Relevant to Their Survival. In their desire to cast a wide net, brands often define a blob of a desire that is so vague, potential customers can’t figure out why they need it in the first place. Here, survival means that primitive desire we all have to be safe, healthy, happy and strong. Survival simply means we have the economic and social resources to eat, drink, reproduce.
A villain is the antagonist because the villain causes the hero serious problems. What’s less obvious is that in a story, there are three levels of problems that work together to capture a reader’s or a moviegoer’s imagination.
1.  External Problems. In stories, the external problem is often a physical, tangible problem the hero must overcome in order to save the day: a ticking time bomb or a runaway bus. Most of us are in the business of solving external problems. We provide insurance or clothes or soccer balls.
2.  Internal Problems. Companies tend to sell solutions to external problems, but people buy solutions to internal problems.
3.  Philosophical Problems. The philosophical problem in a story is about something even larger than.
For Tesla Motor Cars, the villain is gas-guzzling, inferior technology. The external problem is, “I need a car. ”The internal problem is, “I want to be an early adopter of new technology. ”The  philosophical problem is, “My choice of car ought to help save the environment.”
When these three levels of problems are resolved in one shot, the audience experiences a sense of pleasure and relief, causing them to love the story.
And Meets a Guide
If a hero solves her own problem in a story, the audience will tune out. Why? Because we intuitively know if she could solve her own problem, she wouldn’t have gotten into trouble in the first place. Storytellers use the guide character to encourage the hero and equip them to win the day. The fatal mistake some brands make is they position themselves as the hero in the story instead of the guide. If we are tempted to position our brand as the hero because heroes are strong and capable and the center
of attention, we should take a step back. In stories, the hero is never the strongest character. Heroes are often ill-equipped and filled with self-doubt. They are often reluctant, being thrown into the story rather than willingly engaging the plot.
The Two Characteristics of a Guide
The two things a brand must communicate to position themselves as the guide are empathy and authority. Empathetic statements start with words like, “We understand how it feels to . . .” or “Nobody should have to experience...” Empathy is more than just sentimental slogans, though. Real empathy means letting customers know we see them as we see ourselves. Customers look for brands they have something in common with. The guide doesn’t have to be perfect, but the guide needs to have serious experience helping other heroes win the day.
Who Gives Them a Plan
When we identify the stones our customers can step on to get across the creek, we remove much of the risk and increase their comfort level about doing business with us. It’s as though we’re saying, “First, step here. See, it’s easy. Then step here, then here, and then you’ll be on the other side, and your problem will be resolved.” The plan tightens the focus of the movie and gives the hero a “path of hope” she can walk that might lead to the resolution of her troubles.
Plans can take many shapes and forms, but all effective plans do one of two things: They either clarify how somebody can do business with us, or they remove the sense of risk somebody might have if they’re considering investing in our products or services.
A process plan can describe the steps a customer needs to take to buy your product, or the steps the customer needs to take to use your product after they buy it, or a mixture of both. For instance, if you’re selling an expensive product, you might break down the steps like this: 1. Schedule an appointment. 2. Allow us to create a customized plan. 3. Let’s execute the plan together.
And Calls Them to Action
At this point in our customers’ story, they are excited. We’ve defined a desire, identified their challenges, empathized with their feelings, established our competency in helping them and given them a plan. But they need us to do one more thing: They need us to call them to action.
Two Kinds of Calls to Action
Story Brand recommends two kinds of calls to action: direct calls to action and transitional calls to action. They work like two phases of a relationship. A direct call to action is something that leads to a sale or at least is the first step down a path that leads to a sale. Transitional calls to action, however, contain less risk and usually offer a customer something for free.
And Ends in a Success
Starbucks offered to inspire and nurture their customers, one cup at a time. In the final and most important element of the Story Brand Framework, we’re going to offer our customers what they want most: a happy ending to their story. The ending should be specific and clear. Stories aren’t vague, they’re defined; they’re about specific things happening to specific people. President John F. Kennedy would have bored the world had he cast a vision for a “highly competitive and productive space program.”
Before and After
Ryan Deiss at Digital Marketer created a great tool to help us imagine the success our customers will experience if they use our products and services. Answer the following questions about your customers’ experience before they engage your brand and after they engage it:
•      What do they have?
•      What are they feeling?
•      What’s an average day like?
•      What is their status?
The next step is to say it clearly. We must tell our customers what their lives will look like after they buy our products, or they will have no motivation to do so. We have to talk about the end vision we have for their lives in our keynotes, in our email blasts, on our websites and everywhere else.
Ultimately, the success module of your Story Brand Script should simply be a list of resolutions to your customers’ problems. Brainstorm what your customer’s life will look like externally if their problem is resolved; then think about how that resolution will make them feel; then consider why the resolution to their problem has made the world a more just place to live in. When we resolve our customers’ internal, external and philosophical problems, we’ve truly created a resolution that will satisfy their story.
PART III: IMPLEMENTING YOUR STORYBRAND BRANDSCRIPT
An Offer Above the Fold. On a website, the images and text above the fold are the things you see and read before you start scrolling down.
Obvious Calls to Action. While we’re in business to serve our customers and better the world, we’ll be out of business soon if people don’t click that “Buy Now” button.
Images of Success. Words make up the majority of our messaging but not all of it.
A Bite-Sized Breakdown of Your Revenue Streams. You may think your business is too diverse to communicate clearly, but it probably isn’t.
Very Few Words. People don’t read websites anymore; they scan them.
A true mission isn’t a statement; it’s a way of living and being. And it all starts with your Story Brand script. When you leverage the Story Brand Framework externally, for marketing, it transforms the customer value proposition. When you leverage it internally, for engagement, it transforms the employee value proposition.
Getting your company on mission may be the first step in a turnaround. Not just for the company but for your customers, your team members and even you.

time flies, but everything seems goes worse…
“I started to prepare myself for the next level focusing on renewable energy area, and Europe has been my first choice. My experience and ability with exclusive pathways, such as Electrical Engineer, my previous major. I always enthusiast in research project, and I am sure that I have made a right decision as Europe has been recognizing globally for its excellent reputation in the research area. On top of that, Europe has proven its quality by being in the top 5 best high education and research activities. To support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for developing “affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all”, Europe Union has been calculating to increases in Renewable Energy Supply by 2030 with 2.570 TWh/year or 112% if clean energy plans are met. I do believe that study in Europe is great chance for me to enrich my understanding about renewable energy sector and different study atmosphere. In addition, I will to interaction with diverse ideas and perspectives pertaining to various global issues.”
Gloria Steinem once said “The truth will set you free, first it will piss you off”. But right now I am so piss off with my first plan. I wrote this motivation letter about few years ago.
I never write caption on my Instagram post, but in my last post I wrote “clean energy” which mean “hallo everyone, I will hiatus from social media to pursue my dream in renewable energy. I am so obsessed with this stuff”. But reality give you another way. To be honest, I apply a lot internship and job in renewable energy field. I have sent email almost every day, but I was failed and get rejected.
If you asking me “you wanna stay in this dream?” my answer is totally different in every possible way.

Alone Voice
How much narrative said “Democracy has stolen from us”? How much an investigative deep dive into corporate news media’s coverage untapped lie? Corporate is corporate. The scene always about people versus money, end up with false choice.
Drowning into political stance is refreshing also poisoning, sour and nasty. Drowning with suck stories about stupid leader, but it’s pleasantly to moving around with another leader with good product of leadership. Leadership, word has a lot contribute for syllabus but it’s hard to define in whole picture.
Rather than just being bitter about the drop out in presidential race scene like Bernie and decide to supporting his rival Joe Biden, it’s refreshing to see politicians to have integrity. His integrity is honest manner. His consistency to fighting for injustice is expensive. And in the process of presidential campaign I learned that anyone can post their two cents freely, write comment based on their stories brutally into nasty word like a fact that banter imaginable. In that process, I lost my pride to write but also means to associate myself to a particular political stance. It was with me throughout my formative years. I hide because it’s felt too bored and excessive, I don’t try to be “more favorable” type of reader or sheer egoism, but speech by good leader was my muse. Bernie is better option. Every single speech by him was my muse.
Life never easy. This table still no person in the other side. Transform our malice into silent inane is always obligation option. Using the word “political” in the widest possible sense to continue kill. But love and sympathy are the fundamentals of a civilized nation.
But born, alas, in an evil time, I missed that pleasant haven, For the hair has grown on my upper lip And the clergy are all clean-shaven. And later still the times were good, We were so easy to please, We rocked our troubled thoughts to sleep On the bosoms of the trees. – George Orwell
This voice who give me hope like breathes in a new air. Would it be an alone voice?
Cheers, Bernie.

Young People’s Participation and Social Transformative Potential
by Aliffa
When I entered college life, status as college student made me got additional privileges like golden ticket to attending seminar, event, competition, conference and to elevate my project. I also decide to delayed my graduation because I should finish my other competition research. But in the other side, young people decide to work full time after graduated from school. There is a lot reason why girl decide to work after graduated from school, most of all to contribute to the household economy. When other teenager girls decided to work, the probability to married may increase.
In fact, in teenage stage its normal when we consider put love life into bucket list, have boyfriend or put target when they were want to married. Based on Maslow’s (1943) hierarchy of needs is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five tier mode of human need. There are five stage model: Biological and Physiological, Safety needs, Love and Belongingness needs, Esteem needs, and Self-Actualization needs. Third level is love and belongingness needs. Love and belongingness need is stage where you need to communicate with other. In this context is your friend, your family and your intimate or sexual relationships. The point is need to have social interaction with other people. But I will highlight intimate or sexual relationships as a teenager. You are not definitely wrong if you on this need but I think it’s going to be worse if you stay longer, spend your time to focus on love life and make this stage as your life priority.
Feminist movement become one of solution to child marriage problem. Tom Cockburn wrote, feminist movement argued for a change in the relationship between men and women, the means for economic independence for women, and an improved educational provision for women and girls. Educational equality was seen by middle-class feminist to be a first step or key to other freedom, such as access to employment opportunities, and an increase ability to fight for other freedoms. Women agency in civil society and in relation to formal politics has in some cases been able to influence the discourse, politics of citizenship, improve women‘s civil, social and political rights’. In this respect women engage with social and political movement and organizations which are crucial for addressing exclusion and poverty in the community where self-help and voluntary organizations will act as buffers and shelters against market inequalities and welfare restructuring. But this concept would be complicated if implement in conservative culture. Feminist open up a bad impact to moral behavior. The sexual behavior of girls remained a social problem, and shaped the criminal justice system. Where there was a constant worry about girls’ sexual promiscuity.
“Today’s adolescents are uniquely positioned to unlock unprecedented economic growth in the world’s poorest countries. But if they enter this next chapter of their lives without the tools and support they need to protect their futures, there’s another scenario that could come to pass. The world could see a wave of teenage pregnancies with devastating costs.”- Melinda Gates
The average age of marriage in Indonesia is at the age of 22-25 years and lower than other countries. This will open up opportunities for high population growth if not accompanied by sufficient knowledge. Indonesia on seven place of the countries will have the world’s biggest populations in 2100 (UN, DESA, Population Division World Population Prospect, 2017) with 306 million, will add 43 million people to its population by the turn of the century. But how with government getting involved with this issue? The government still struggle with improve education, career development and the financial burdens in marriage life especially for women.
As college student, we got a lot privileges to expand our ability to face the future. I think, government and non-government need to consider to elevate all of citizen in social movement either technical skill as alternative to ignore increase girls to brides. Philippa Collin declared in his book Young Citizens and Political Participation in a Digital Society, young people rarely mentioned taking part in traditional political act such as voting, being a member of a political party or union without being prompted. But there was a common perception that young people were not taken seriously within government. Devoting time and resources to youth issues doesn’t seem to be something that governments really want to do, or will readily do. It’s all about diverting young people who are in trouble or are at risk away from courts. It’s not about engaging them before they get to that point. Because youth participation in policy is also shaped by economic and political forces.
Philippa Collin also declared, as regards policy development, government consult and outsource: inviting the non-government sector to advice on and then to deliver youth policy in the community. Labor governments have favored a more ‘enabling’ approach using a broader range of mechanism to involve a wider group of constituent to direct policy that is then delivered in various forms of ‘partnerships’ with non-state actors. Programmes delivering skill for ‘social action’ and ‘youth enterprise’ have also gain currency as alternative models for delivering on young women apparent desire to ‘create change’ in the community and a perceived need to equip young women with skills for self-management of the increasingly complex transitions through industrial revolution. Every young women as citizen deserve tools, education and support they need to protect their futures with focus participating in social action and youth enterprise.

Game-Changer: Game Theory and the Art of Transforming Strategic Situations
By David McAdams
Game-Changer develops six basic ways to change games — commitment, regulation, cartelization, retaliation, trust and relationships — enlivened by countless colorful characters and unforgettable examples from the worlds of business, finance, sports and more. “Games” are strategic situations, and “game theory” is the art and science of strategy, but the game-theory approach to business is much more than just being smart and savvy about strategy.
Zhunge Liang said The wise win before they fight by recognizing all the games that could be played, steering the strategic environment in their favor, and then fighting with confidence in their ultimate victory. By contrast, the ignorant just play the game that lies before them, their victory or defeat largely out of their control, a matter of luck and fortune. Game theory helps businesses plot tactics. The most obvious games in businesses are those played at the tactical level — how to set prices, how to launch a new product and so on. Finally, and the most importantly, game theory can transform the culture of an organization.
Commit
Commitments are only effective when made early enough (and visibly enough) to have an impact on what others choose to do. Thus, anyone who commits needs to “move first,” in the sense of committing before others make their decisions. But what does moving first really mean from a strategic point of view? “The early bird gets the worm.” That may be true for birds, but in business, there isn’t always an advantage to being first into a new market space. But in fact firms like Apple in personal computers, dominated his markets for years not because Apple did things first but because did things best.
Invite Regulation
Each player has a dominant strategy to use as much of the resource as possible, but when everyone does so, the resource is overexploited and everyone suffers. The idea of the tragedy of the commons, that resource exploitation is a game, has since been widely applied to understand many so-called common resource problems, such as pollution, overfishing and habitat destruction, highway traffic and spam email. Hardin famously argued that the only way to solve the tragedy of the commons is to restrict individuals’ rights to use common resources. This perspective has had a profound impact, justifying major government interventions that restrict free usage rights. Every law passed by Congress, every action taken by the executive branch, and every ruling by the judiciary “regulates” the governed. Moreover, government isn’t the only regulator. Administrators in schools, parents in families and trendsetters in society all “regulate” others by influencing their options and incentives. Perhaps above all, firms are at heart regulatory bodies, in the game-theory sense of incentivizing others to change their behavior, as they seek to motivate employees to work harder, entice customers to buy more and so on.
Merge or “Collude”
Merging two competitive firms into a single entity to look after their collective interest. Nowadays, all large mergers are reviewed by federal regulators and routinely blocked if these regulators fear they could hurt consumers by decreasing competition. Yet collusion can be viewed more broadly as cooperation among one set of players that just happens to harm another set of players. Indeed, collusion may even be desirable from a social welfare point of view.
Build Trust
We live in a mostly lawful and ethical society, where people treat others honorably and well, just for the sake of doing so. But trust is never automatic. We must always decide whether to trust, knowing that there is a possibility that we might be betrayed. Fortunately, the deeper message of game theory is that trust is possible even in a completely selfish world.
Trust in Selfish Word
Real-world criminals do plenty of deals, so they must have ways to overcome this incentive to cheat one another. First, criminals have internalized the lessons of cartelization and self-regulation, forming huge umbrella organizations and incentivizing good behavior among their “associates” with the threat of murder (or worse) for anyone who gets out of line. Moreover, even the most sociopathic criminal recognizes the benefits of (i) cultivating a reputation for being a trustworthy business partner and (ii) building relationships for repeat business, just as in the legal business world.
What If Only One Side Can Be Trusted?
There are two key ingredients in any promise, related to observability and credibility:
Some player (the “last-mover”) can observe and respond to the other’s move.
The last-mover can credibly commit to how it will respond.
Enable Retaliation
Mutually Assured Destruction Games are so-called “dynamic games.” The defining feature of dynamic games is that they take place in real time, with each player capable of quickly observing and reacting to changes in the other’s behavior. Another key feature of MAD Games is that they are “waiting games,” continuing in a fixed status quo until someone finally “pulls the trigger.”
Leverage Relationship
Mechanics, dentists and restaurants are just a few of the many types of businesses that rely on repeat customers. The prospect of repeated interaction is a powerful inducement for players to exert extra effort and cooperate in various ways.
Reputation Without Repeat Business
What if you only interact once with someone but need their trust to get a deal done? Fortunately, all the strategic benefits of repeat business can still be had if there is some way for others to verify how you have handled yourself in previous deals. For instance, online marketplaces such as eBay have introduced “reputation scores” to help address the problems of anonymity and non-repeat business over the Internet. By design, reputation scores transform anonymous eBay transactions into (at least somewhat) observable encounters that others can use when deciding with whom to do a deal. Thus, sellers know that how they treat each customer will affect not only whether that specific customer returns for repeat business but whether others will choose them as well.

I met her in 2017, when I had joined Young Engineers and Scientists Summit. I don’t remember the detail, but I think it was after company visit. I just adore her.
When I first time come to her home, it’s like another home. But guess what she had served to us? Susu Mangrove or in English kind of Mangrove Milk. The taste is good, one cup not enough for me to be honest. A lot of products she has been making for conservation and environmental supposed. Not surprising anyway because I found a bunch of trophy and obviously Kalpataru. Kalpataru is highest honor to person gave a significant change to environmental sector who given by Indonesia government.
She has innovation in few things such as fashion, food, drink, snack and traditional medicine. In fashion, she is make Kain Batik with natural coloring. So this coloring no need any of waste water treatment again. Put those coloring have no impact to environment or river. In food and snack, she has been making snack from all part mangrove even the root. So those snack have been marketing to all around East Java and Indonesia.
I don’t know, when she started talking about her life everything changes. She just started everything from nothing, kind of self made women. She has fought from chronical disease in the past. Every morning she wake up at 3 AM, it such too early to start the day. So I decide to make this note just wanna remind me, a lot of people survive in their life to make better change.
It’s little bit fascinating, I always underestimate politician. You really believe in something and then it not working out. They are just not capable enough to handle society. And always ended up with questions: How do these idiots get elected?
But if you look in the other side, you will easily find kind people make a better change in our society. They are not work for fame, money or table. They made social movement and organizations which are crucial for addressing exclusion, environment crisis and poverty in the community

#LETTER
Dear Myself,
It seems almost indulgent to be writing to you but alas, here I am writing this annual letter when listening my friend present his job training analysis. Kinda weird, right? But in the other side, you start questioning your existence sitting here. You should feel honor and grateful to be here, met with wonderful people, met person that change your view at all and spending your time learning new things. You should learn and hit the book to improve your skill in here.
Let me set your time in January 2018. When you just graduate from college in December 2017, finally you did it. You should proud of yourself, finish your research when you think can’t finish anymore. Like another person who entering new chapter in their life, decide to running your plan sounded perfect with a lot of improve in your business plan. Little bit different with your friend in college, they are decided to working for full time or just apply graduate degree. When they are start wondering what you have done and you have no idea to answer their questions because you fail a lot. But in the end your plan just fall apart, technically it’s seem doesn’t matter. Because you are so young to fail in early process. It’s okay, please believe in yourself, you have been through a lot.
The reality, give you another way. You’ll surprise what happen in future. But remind this: as long as you have try your best and close to God it’s become better. God’s plan always better than everything. You’ll never feel good enough about yourself. You’ll fail your research competition. You’ll fail your work interview. You’ll decide to work than take a chance study abroad. You’ll thinking all of time about your mentor because you have been disappointing her and hope someday you can make her proud. You will get your first job and feel dumb at work because you know nothing. You’ll crying in public place because someone say something negative that you never heard before. For God’s sake, don’t waste your time to valuing somebody else’s opinion too much.
Idea of being a healthier and happier version of yourself just sounded rigid and restrictive. You still procrastinating in almost everything and in the end become more stress out. Rules that you have made usually broken. Even your plan just fall apart, life must go on. Don’t stress too much.
“The biggest reason that so many people become unhappy is that they play life in “reverse”. They go for the safe and practical job right out of school, and they buy expensive stuff to impress their friend.”
It’s typical advice, they said you should take a high risk when you were young but in the end just giving up to handle the situation. Let’s say luck have important role in life. Blaming situation just make it worse, society puts a lot of pressure on people their 20s to figure out their live and gonna be worse when lived in conservative society. Sometime you just wanna run and live in solitude place. Like Nakata in Kafka on The Shore novel by Haruki Murakami, who lived in library. Live in solitude place and can read a bunch of books without worrying about your Instagram account for personal branding? But who live like that in 20th century? Feeling lost in 20s is normal, seriously…
But what you need is remind yourself should learn before you’re make a mistake, calculate everything. Whatever happened in life, no whining and no complaining. Whatever pressure come from, just keep in mind everything completed perfectly with maximum result. Believe in yourself, you can make it. Don’t believe in everyone. Communicate everything with person who have capability. And I’ll just say: stop procrastinate and step up your game.
Actually, you know what, Fa. I lied to you. There is a secret to getting it right after all: ice cream or going to coffee shop.
Kisses,
Iffa

Emerging AI and Deep Learning in E-Commerce for Accelerate ASEAN Economic Community
Industrial Revolution 4.0
ASEAN is getting serious in preparing to enter the 4.0 generation industrial revolution. This 4.0 industry is even projected to bring ASEAN into the top 10 largest economies in the world. Five industrial sectors that are the first focus in the application of automation and digitalization are the five are food and beverage industry, automotive, electronics, textiles and chemical industries. In addition to the potential to encourage the industrial sector as well as the national economy as a whole, several possibilities of disruption from the development of technology and digitalization have caused concern among some people including among them being replaced by jobs with the power of machines, robots and artificial intelligence. However still optimistic that there will be many new job opportunities that arise. Along with the development of innovation, the president predicts that there will be 7 to 19 million new jobs opened by 2030. Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the name pinned on the revolutionary trend of industrial development that sinergizes between the huge amount of data growth (Big Data) which is driven primarily by increased connectivity via the Internet of Things and Cloud Computing so that everything has a digital identity and track record, then the data was studied with Advanced Data Mining techniques. The data analysis is complemented by the increasingly flexible development of automation and 3D printing technologies. Basically stepped up by the development of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Actually Industry 4.0 is not a new discovery, but an attempt to read industry trends based on technological developments there are 3 Technology Pillars in Industry 4.0:
Physical technology in the form of automation using robots, RFID and 3D printing sensors is growing rapidly, resulting in increasingly efficient industrial production systems
In terms of connectivity in the concept of the Internet of Things, all tools or humans will have digital identities taken from sensors, so the data can be collected in real time. The data will be larger so that it becomes Big Data to accommodate in the Cloud whose capacity is greater. then the relationship and patterns can be studied with Data Mining techniques.
From the side of the system brain The development of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning makes AI able to learn independently and can make decisions independently The aim of Industry 4.0 is to produce self-optimized industries that are very efficient and able to produce in the form of mass customization.
There are 3 things why the industrial era can now lead to Truly Industry Revolution 4.0 such as data availability 90% of the data stored on the internet, generated in the past 2 years produce large amounts of data and grow rapidly every year, computerized ability computers can process up to 318,000 million instructions per second now compared to the 1970s that were only able to process less than 1 million instructions per second, readiness of the world community This is marked by a higher percentage of internet penetration. Industry 4.0 is a continuation of 3 previous industrial revolutions. Industry 1.0 is the time when steam and water-based mechanical production machines are introduced. This technological revolution mechanized the value added process which was based on craft manship in the fabrication world and economically as a whole dominated by the agricultural economy. Production machines are developing. Society changes from farmers to laborers and industrial cities have sprung up. Industry 2.0 is a time when mass production began to grow rapidly. Production lines and conveyor belts are used massively. Although the production line has been used since 1870 in the chicken cutting production line in Cincinnati, Ohio USA. This revolution found its form in the production of Ford Motor cars in the 1920s. Ford Motor and its encounter with the Scientific Management concept brought by Frederick W. Taylor; enabling mass production to occur efficiently. Taylor found that the work system can be built scientifically and quantitatively. Scientific Managers embody the concept of Adam Smith's Division of Labor into systematic gave birth to the science of Time and Motion Study. This science then gave birth to one of the most important sciences in the world: Industrial Engineering. Industry 3.0 occurs when the discovery of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) in 1969 to the present era. The discovery of PLC opened the door and later became a way for the use of robots and automation in the industry. Technology cluster that directs to Truly Industry 4.0:
Interrelation of Technology Cluster 1 Technology that develops in the physical world: robotics, automation equipment, traditional machinery combined with technology that developed in the cyber world: advanced algorithms, machine learning, high-performance hardware.
Interrelation of Technology Cluster 2 Technology that develops in the physical world: traditional machinery, traditional & semiconductor based sensors Combined with technology that developed in the cyber world: advanced data analytics, management database systems, cloud computing.
Interrelation of Technology Cluster 3 Technology that develops in the physical world: traditional machinery, RFID, automation equipment combined with technology that developed in the cyber world: embedded systems, real-time image processing (e.g. OCR), data storage hardware.
Interrelation of Technology Cluster 4 Technology that develops in the physical world: camera & imaging systems, visual sensors, traditional sensors combined with technology that developed in the cyber world: real-time image processing, advanced data analytical, advanced algorithms
Produce Industry 4.0 solutions, smart environment recognition is smart factory the immediate implications of technological developments that enable high-level connectivity are as following with efficiency from mass production, even mass customization, flexible production systems that can quickly adapt to the variability of customer demand, integration of value from customer into value added system (read: product to be produced) in its entirety, and ability to produce high-value production and services. More specifically, the characteristics of Industry 4.0 are industrial revolutions that have the potential to change industry: from mass production to mass customization, from the volume scale effect to localized & flexible units, from planned make to stock to dynamic make to order, from product to usage, from cost driven to ROCE driven, from Taylorism to flexible work organization and from hard working conditions to attractive work space. Industry 4.0 takes 10-15 years to achieve maturity and should focus sector: climate/energy, health, mobility, security, communication. IoT, Cyber Physical Systems and public funding of 200 million euros with private party funding for R & D: 50% for SMEs.
Readiness of the ASEAN Community
Most of ASEAN country still in a position that is not ready for industrial revolution 4.0. Based on World Economic Forum, country like Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia has position in the lower left quadrant or in nascent quadrant. Nascent means complexity and production capability and the driving force of production need still lacking. Thailand and Philippines has position in the lower right quadrant or legacy quadrant. Singapore and Malaysia has position in the higher right quadrant or leading quadrant. In fact, Indonesia is part of the G20 country. But the biggest proportion of GDP actually comes from consumption, around 55% and Net Export is in the 0% position. Most of all addition, some country wants to avoid Middle Income Trap or Economic Vicious Cycle. Influence relationship some country in ASEAN will forever become a developing country. Even though we should change from a country that depends on the rich resources and cheap labor costs, move into a country based on productivity, technology and innovation. In the other hand there are other facts are less rewarding such as Indonesia issues very minimal expenditure on technology for ICT: only 1.3% of GDP, 45 dollars per capita, the increase in labor wages is relatively high, but is not driven by a proportional increase in productivity increases (if compared to China and India). Indonesia is an ASEAN country with the lowest trade flow in ASEAN (37% of GDP) coupled with a decrease in Net Export (0.8% of GDP), foreign investment has stagnated (average 3.4% of GDP 2013-2016), Indonesia experienced deindustrialization: the composition of GDP in the manufacturing sector decreased from 25.2% in 2000 to 21.7% in 2015 and is predicted to decline again to 16.3% in 2030. While our service sector increased by 11.9% growth until 2030 The government hopes: Making Indonesia 4.0 can be a way to revitalize the manufacturing industry to absorb the growth in the number of working age due to demographic bonuses (30 million people in 2015-2030).
Increase net export from 0.8% of GDP in 2016 to 10% of GDP in 2030. Benchmarking of Indonesia's net exports in ASEAN in 2000: 10% of GDP
Increases labor productivity / cost to 2x
Increase the percentage of expenditure on R & D, from 0.3% of GDP in 2016, to 2% in 2030
Based on the feasibility and contribution of value (the size of the Industry and the potential for net export), 5 government-focused industry sectors were chosen: food industry, textile, automation, electronics, chemistry in general, food industry, textile, automation, electronics, chemistry in general, there are should be 10 national priorities in realizing Making ASEAN 4.0:
Improving the flow of material flow by strengthening material production in the upstream sector.
Redesigning the industrial zone by building a national industrial zone road map.
Accommodation of sustainability standards.
Empowering MSMEs including micro-enterprises.
Building a national digital infrastructure.
Attract foreign investment by targeting global leading manufacturing companies
Improving the quality of human resources
Establishment of an innovation ecosystem with the development of Research & Development & Design (R & D & D) centers by the government, private, public, and universities
Implement technology investment incentives by introducing tax exemptions or subsidies for technology adoption and funding support
Harmonization of rules and policies by harmonizing policies and regulations across ministries when viewed, there is still much to be pursued to fill the gap in the roadmap that the government has made.
Prof. Klaus Schwab says there will be a vulnerability such as: lack of adaptation of the organization or business to adaptation: government failure to regulate new technology to optimize profits, cyber security issues, economic inequality, and polarization in society. The concept of the industrial often use to describe the transition process of British society in the 1760s, from an agrarian society to an industrial society with the discovery of a steam engine. Industrial revolution 4.0 is an expert effort to analyze the relationship between each revolution.
IoT is at the Heart of Industry 4.0
IoT is described as an expansion of network connectivity functions, and computing capabilities for devices, objects, sensors, and everyday appliances that are not considered to be computers. The expansion of internet connectivity functionality, and the computing capabilities enable devices to generate data, use data, and exchange data with minimal human intervention (K. Rose, 2015). The Internet of Things has architecture, but there are various opinions about the number of layers. There is a view that the layer of IoT consists of 3 layers, 5 layers, and 6 layers. The 3 layer IoT architecture consists of perception layer, network layer, and application layer (Khalid, 2016). The IoT has 5 layer architecture, consists of perception layer, network layer, layer middleware, application layer, and business layer (R. Khan, 2012). The IoT 6 layer architecture consists of coding layer, perception layer, network layer, layer middleware, application layer, and business layer (M. U.Farooq, 2015). Based on Gartner Analyst said with the IoT, the supply chain will have unprecedented access to data valued by internal and external stakeholder. This present an opportunity for supply chain groups to co-develop new information-based solutions for individual customers or markets. Up to 2 billion internet-connected ‘smart’ devices will be installed generating some $300 billion by 2020. More than half of major new business processes will incorporate some element of IoT by 2020. The 4.0 industrial revolution on the basis of Cyber-Physical Production Systems (CPPS), merging of real and virtual worlds. AI and Deep Learning can help in supply chain decision making. There is main point:
Managing fleets: use of sensor-enable IoT solutions the location and speed of vehicles can be tracked and maintenance alerts can be given.
Transporting perishable goods: IoT enable devices allow for monitoring conditions during shipment not just temperature and humidity, but vibrations and shocks as well.
Proactively managing inventory: real time information on inventory and market demands can enable automatic shelf replenishment.

#LETTER
Hi,
How are you? I told myself this going to be last letter for you, but it’s seem doesn’t work. I keep write letter for you. I told myself you will never come back, but always ended up with waiting you. Temperature dip down into the range of dozens degrees Celsius. I have been writing this letter at Nieuwe Waterweg, place I used to waiting you.
Memory, scene I never stopped to think of it is as something that would make a lasting impression. And time flies become memory, but this pain still real.
Levity, levity and levity. My pain of the past just not allow me hurt anyone again. What if I just break out of everything. I just terrified to trust again. I just terrified to start again. I just terrified to let anyone involve in my life again. I just terrified to let anyone come to my life. Isn’t living with terrify feeling make us tired. I don’t even know how to handle this. I just terrified…
When brown leaves scattered on the streets. Sun solely above the head, the sky is like a gray robe covering the city. Or even in April and May, when daffodil and tulip blossom. But for me all seasons still feel like winter. Maybe become hopeless is the answer. I feel out of control and I don’t believe with myself can through this. That feeling when I losing trust to anyone, but rather just losing my ability to say something.
Those anchor still same, stick around on my ankle. But a funny thing is better to drowning deeper on my own than trying to swim crushing the edge of shore. At this windy Niewu Waterweg, perchance you come to visit me. But sadly I ne’r see you in another ship, they are coming with strange person. This woe ne’r be foe. I was trying so hard to dispatch this woe. Soft, perhance thou should’st come hither.
Hark me… like all the worst stories, but it comes from the heart. I saw fire how scalded skin to some is love. For the sky’s color to steal our word.
Please be happy.
Love,
-a
p.s. : Hella poetic lol. I know that might sound dramatic and nasty. But don’t get me wrong, imma try write used some common Elizabethan term and I didn’t read a lot book lately. The last line, I pick up from my favorite poetry.
