First of all, thank you for watching my witch's heart edits!! It's been like??? A few years now since it was up there?? But really, I'm glad you liked that edit!! ^^ And I'm surprised you noticed, damn.
Well.... A few months back, someone asked to IZ about their thoughts on video edits of the game (this and this) and due to her responses, I wanna respect that so I have the video privated. (Then again, it's an old vid so I didn't expect anyone to notice it ueue)
But still, I appreciate that you liked the Galahad edit. It's just fits Witch's Heart too well and that's the slightest way to show my love for that series. (;w;)

From A Piece of Paper
Summary: A yakuza’s wish upon a paper strip
Rating: None
Side note: During the Milky Way event, I FINALLY got Sakyo’s SSR first bloomed and I was really happy about it so I decided to write this short monologue thing cause I can’t help but headcanon he would do this every year. 🥺
>> You can read it in AO3 too! <<
>> I’m also opening commissions too!! <<
Remembering the days we’ve been with each other, I had never stopped regretting how I couldn’t tell the enjoyable feelings I had with you. How much of a fool I was for not taking the chance to see you one last time. Even from years apart, I couldn’t stop thinking about you. Wondering, when will we ever see each other again.
Everyday, I would come by to your father’s plays in silence, wondering if you would ever show up. But you weren’t. Walking past the theater after a tour around town, but your presence wasn’t there. I couldn’t help but wonder, was that the last day I ever get to see you then? Deep down, I knew it probably is, but I can’t stop myself now. My hopes to see you again still burns within me, I just need to keep trying.
“Oi, Furuichi! Can you man that stall over there?”
“I’m practically occupied right now. Go find someone else!!”
The Tanabata festival came back another year, in which I mostly worked on more food stalls. Flipping takoyakis was more tiresome than I imagined but as long as everyone enjoyed it, that’s more than enough. However, never once have I stopped thinking about you, listing the things we could do together in my mind.
‘Once we meet again, I’ll make these for you to try.’
Smirking to myself, I can already imagine the grinning smile she would put up.
As time flew to the moonlit night, checking on the progress for the tanzaku was the last task before the end of the festival. Bamboo stacks were ready to tie knots with paper strips, now with people strolling around to write their wishes. I didn’t have the need to put a paper wish on, so I could only watch the event play from afar.
“Aniki !!!!”
“Oh, Sakoda. How’re the preparations going?”
“Everything is going well, boss! All bamboos are up and set to go.”
Nodding to his report, glancing back to the bustling people surrounding the bamboo stacks made me reminisce about my first wish. Though, I was merely a child who thought all wishes would come true in an instant.  I knew it won’t, none of it did. Growing up hits you hard with how reality treats you, so I could only accept it and move on.
But a blurry wave of motion pulled me out of my thoughts, revealing a paper strip hovering about.
“Here you go, boss! Go ahead and make a wish.”
“Ha?! I’m not going to wish anything. I’m too old for this, Sakoda.”
“No, you’re young as ever, boss!! Plus, everyone is doing it including the elderlys.”
“So you ARE saying I’m old then.”
“Eh?! N-No, that’s not what I meant!!”
Sighing to this conversation, I knew deep down he was being nice to include me in the fun. But what exactly am I gonna wish for? The same thing? Will my wish ever be heard to the skies above? Looking over to Sakoda, he had started writing on his tanzaku with that excited look on his face. Sighing again to myself, maybe I should give another try. Just this once. It felt weird for an old man to write a wish from the past, but it’s worth the shot.
Looking back to that wish, I realized how much you were important in my life. How you brightened up light to that awkward boy with that smile of yours. I want to spend more of those times with you again. Hearing your voice calling me out and being dragged to wherever you take me.
And maybe, just maybe… I could finally tell you these feelings during these years apart.

Data Research in Progress (Albedo x Genshin!OC)
Summary: Asking for assistant to his incomplete research, something deep inside feels missing to him. Now what could it be.
Rating: None
Side note: A commission piece for @samallama !! Thank you so much for commissioning me, I had fun writing for your oc!! ^^
>>Commission is still open !!<<
>>You can read it in AO3 too<<
A fine day continues while the wind carries in the heart of Monstadt. With its people roaming freely, their safety is top priority as the Knights of Favonius keep on the lookout for outside dangers, including those who watch from behind the scenes.
“Hmm… according to these books, violet grasses have strong vitality with a sweet fragrance. Maybe if I could extract them and do a few test experiments, I could possibly create a concoction for stamina!”
Somewhere inside the headquarters, sounds of glass clinking and smokes puffing out between the gaps, the knights knew the alchemist was experimenting yet again. Even though it sounded dangerous, everyone trusts her abilities so they would not question it.
While she had full concentration into extracting the violet flower sample, she could see a red cap bobbing towards her from the corner of her eye. Her tiny hands reached onto the nearby stool and climbed on it, the little visitor observed the alchemist’s work with full excitement as she hopped about.
“Oooooh!! Klee knows this flower. One of the knights gave one to Klee before.”
“Is that so? I’m happy to hear you have knowledge about this flower, Klee,” the alchemist replied. Her eyes and hands steadily work on the extraction. “Aren't you still in confinement, Klee?”
“Klee’s confinement time just ended so Klee is now free to walk around!”
While nodding, the alchemist’s eyes started to sparkle as the flower extraction had come to the completing stage. Perfect! Carefully taking a few drops into a tube, the eyes of both knights observe it with awe. However, the little knight broke the silence with-
“Master Selene, do you think this flower can help Klee’s bombs explode more?”
The alchemist dryly laughed, “I don’t think that’s a possibility, Klee.”
“But Jumpy Dumpty needs more explosions!! The bigger it explodes, the prettier!”
Struggling to explain the dangerous possibilities of bigger explosion outcomes to a child is hard to simplify, especially when you just discovered a new material to test its contents. Right on time, footsteps walked through the door, revealing a familiar figure to the two knights.
“Master Albedo!!” The child happily skipped towards the man and hugged his legs. From Selene’s view, Albedo looked rather exhausted for a while before his lips turned to a smile as he patted the child’s head.
Selene sighed, “Albedo, I hope you’ve been taking rests these days.”
Albedo’s eyes widened at the mention before quickly averted them from her gaze. Yeah, she’s going to take that as a no.
Before her lecture comes about, Albedo clears his throat to pull her attention to his matters. “Selene, can I have a moment of your time? Unless you’re occupied with something.”
Even though she’s practically preoccupied with her current experiment, she couldn’t object to her master’s request, right?
“Sure. Is there something you need for?”
“I’m planning to hike back to Dragonspine. I was looking through some of my previous research reports and I realized some of the procedures are missing something.”
Strange. Albedo is the type to be very precise and collective about his research, so hearing an incomplete finding started ringing alert bells in Selene’s head. Plus, Dragonspine is an interesting location to research on more, so of course she would join in!
“Can Klee join in too?” Cute puppy eyes staring at Albedo, begging him to include her in the team.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to come along, Klee.” Worried about the child’s safety, Selene refused.
“Klee will be extra careful in Dragonspine. And Klee will warm you up from the cold with Jumpy Dumpty!”
The chief alchemist chuckled, “I guess we could use a Pyro vision user during the journey, would it?”
Well, he’s not wrong about that fact. Walking around in sheer cold is a risky walk. Selene sighed in defeat after thinking through Albedo’s reasoning before nodding. Happily hopped around, the three set on their journey to the cold winter.
From passing through hilichurl attacks to Fatui ambushes, they finally arrived at the destination of Albedo’s curiosity. The intense heat emitting inside the underground cave, scarlet quartz scattered across the ground. Beholding upon them, there lies the source of the scarlet red colors in Dragonspine.
The Core.
Said it used to be the heart of Durin, no one knows how it still glows for thousands of years until now. Seems like Albedo’s interest in researching Dragonspine is still pumping up. Even to Selene, her eyes sparkled as she quietly stared to the core with awe.
“From my findings, the core still radiates high intensity of heat that could support the creatures living here. Somehow, I still wonder how it could affect someone with low resistance to it.”
While the two alchemists started their research, Klee roamed around with piqued interest as she looked at each and every scarlet quartz surrounding the cave. Poking on one of the quartz, she insisted on breaking some in hopes to work on a better version of her bombs. Nonetheless, it only emitted its heat in a short amount of time which disappointed the little knight. Trying to figure out a possible way to take these quartz home, her eyes darted towards the core. With a smile of excitement, Klee skipped over to the core while staring into the pumping object.
Meanwhile, the two alchemists were busy discussing what could possibly be the reason for its everlasting life until Selene noticed Klee getting close to the core. “Klee, don’t go near it!”
Her words fell on deaf ears, Klee has touched the core while admiring the red glow.
“Klee!!” Running towards the child, Selene’s worry of something fatal might happen to her. Until a scream was heard.
“Too hot, too hot!! Klee’s body is burning. Master Selene! Master Albedo! It’s too hot.” As the child cried over to Selene, the alchemist carried her small body to the cave entrance in hopes for the temperature to cool her down.
As Selene scolded the child, Albedo observed the event with interest, wondering that could be the answer to his hypothesis. Caressing the red glowing core, knowing that he won’t feel the same heat intensity from what Klee experienced, his expression sorrowed in wonder. Something about this research is… missing the most important piece of the puzzle.
With the unexpected incident falling on them, they decided to head over to their camp hideout to fix up a quick antidote to Klee’s temperature. As Albedo focusly extracted the liquid, his thoughts started to wander. He realized he didn't react to the incident of Klee a while ago. Witnessing Selene’s reaction is a normality to be worried about someone, but why didn’t he feel anything? Why didn’t he feel any sorrow or any swirling of emotions inside him?
Looking over Selene, who’s warming up the child on her lap with a blanket, he called out to her.
“How’s her condition, Selene?”
“Ah! her temperature has cooled down, but I think the heat drained her energy so she decided to take a nap for now.”
Albedo nodded, “That’s good to hear then.” Even though he walked over to check on Klee, he couldn’t understand this action of worrying someone. How does it feel to care for someone dear? He knew how precious the child is to him, especially to the people who he once was with in the past.
Selene must have noticed how conflicted his expression is, as she placed her hand on Albedo’s shoulder to comfort him. “Don’t worry, she just needed some rest.”
“Oh. Right.” As he sat beside Selene, he thought to himself that maybe asking her input could help with this question throbbing inside his mind. “Is it normal to be worried about someone, Selene?”
“Hmm?” The unexpected question surprised her, but knowing that’s Albedo’s character, she tilted her head in deep thought. “Well, worrying about someone is more of an involuntary instinct, so you could say it’s normal to be.”
“But what if you don’t?” He looked over to the sleeping child, softly stroking her hair. “What if you can’t feel any sorrow for a person? Would others think of you as selfish? Wouldn’t the person we look after be upset about it?”
Selene looked over between Albedo and Klee, somehow found the answers to those questions, “Not being able to worry about someone doesn’t make you a selfish person. Even though you couldn’t feel it, you just… know that you are.”
Albedo’s brows furrowed. Hmm, maybe a more practical explanation would help.
“Having the emotion of worrying is a normality to everyone, but even the actions you took for them is one too. Just like how you did for Klee! You stopped the research for a while for the sake of saving her and even made the antidote. Even though you couldn’t feel anything, your action is what matters too because that’s what others will see how much you care for them.”
With that, she beamed a genuine smile and even pushed the child’s lips to a smile, making the chief alchemist smirk. So even without possessing those emotions, the reflective actions to that itself shows his worries too. Even though it’s likely just Albedo’s logical thinking into resolving it, he must have not realized the latter too.
Maybe… that’s what the core underneath them had the same intentions. Because of the endless sheer cold surrounding this continent, a heat source is majorly needed for the creatures to survive. Maybe before the dragon’s body decomposed, the purity of the dragon’s heart still pumps with infinite power for those who need it most.
While his thoughts wander for more possibilities, a yawn is heard beside him. Witnessing her eyes slowly drooping to a slumber, he gently pulled her body to lean on him while her head landed on his shoulder. Mayhaps the heat from before overtaken her as well, he decided to let her rest for now. Ah, this could be another action of worrying then. The edge of Albedo’s lips lift as he watches over the two knights sleeping with the thought that he learned something new.
Either way with the current situation, it’s best to pause the research for a while. He couldn’t bear to wake them up by how peaceful their expressions look. Once there’s time to reflect, he will thoroughly look for the missing information of his research and analytics of the emotion he seeks.

Restoring Trusts (Sebastian x Farmer!OC)
Summary: Zera’s first day in Pelican Town!
Sidenote: The zine is finally out!! My piece to From Grandpa’s Farm zine!! It’s completely free so go ahead an check out other people’s works. Thanks to @lbzines for giving me this opportunity!! TwT
>> CLICK HERE TO THE ZINE <<
>> You can read it in AO3 too <<
The view of the blue sky with the rays of sunshine seeping through between the collided clouds as they hide the sun’s presence. The everyday morning view as she gazes up from the windowsill. Time to start the day! Pulling away the bed sheet while stretching her arms, Zera takes out a notebook from the drawers to check for today’s to-do list.
It has been two days since Zera’s arrival in Pelican Town. Inheriting her grandfather’s farm is still a challenge to her, but she will never say no to a challenge! Besides, taking a break from the city life is what she had always wished for, and the letter came just right on time.
“Thank you, Grandpa. You know your granddaughter way too well.” Hugging the letter to her chest, she whispered to herself, hoping her grandfather heard her appreciation.
Arriving at the farmhouse with no one to greet with is already lonesome, but the time to be independent has come, for she will decide her life and her alone! Tending a farm? No problem! Looking after animals? You got it! This is her grandfather’s treasure, and from the on, she will cherish it as much as her grandfather did.
After watering the crops and clearing out the debris and weeds around the area, she wipes the sweat from her forehead and checks out the tasks from her to-do list. Now for the last task for today.  Ah, she almost forgot to meet some villagers she couldn’t meet on the first day! All that’s left is… As her fingers flip through the list, it stops at one name. The name of someone she had the difficulty to talk with, someone she couldn’t find the time to find him.
“Right. I still need to introduce myself to him. He lives with Robin, right? I can get some materials while I’m at it!”
Setting her task in check with determination, she dusts out her gloves and heads for Robin’s cabin.
Admiring the forest’s beauty on the hills while strolling to the destination, she never thought she wanted this in her life. The city life was too cramped for her fragile mindset. The bustling noises from the vehicles and people’s chatters. The continuous stresses from her workplace. The banters inside her family’s continuous issues.
She almost had enough and her motivation to live on slowly dropped. But now that she’s here, she has regained the sense of calmness she had been missing. The peaceful atmosphere from nature’s silence, the chilled air from the blown wind. Nature has never failed her with their ways to relieve her tensions. Oh she had wished this opportunity to come knocking on her door.
Now standing in front of Robin’s cabin, she quickly scans through her to-do list for the necessary materials before entering, greeted by a friendly woman standing behind the counter.
“Good morning, Zera! How’s the farm life treating you?” she asks while leaning against the counter.
“Pretty good, I guess. I’m still getting used to it but I’m getting there!” Looking at Robin with her determined expression made the woman chuckled with glee. Zera already sees Robin as a mother to her, still hoping her real mother could treat her as lovingly as Robin does.
From business talk to casual conversations, the two got along with their stories and jokes. Too absorbed with the conversation, Zera glances over her shoulder and spots a silhouette passing by her. “Ah, it’s him!” She found the person she was looking for and waved her hand to his direction, but no response other than a quick glare to her before descending to the basement.
“Oh,” she sighs disappointingly.
“I’m sorry about Sebastian, that’s just how he usually is,” Robin notices her feeling defeated and tries to comfort her, “I know you want to make friends with him, and I’m sure he appreciates it! He’ll open up to you.”
“Well, no pressure on forcing people so I understand.” As much as she smiles at Robin in hiding her sadness, the heavy feeling inside her chest weighs her mood down.
Even after leaving the cabin, her mind is filled with the thoughts of Sebastian’s glare on her. From what she heard from every villager she asked before, Sebastian gives cold shoulders to others a whole lot. He must have his reasons for his behavior, she understands that seeing strangers trying to be nice with you alerts danger bells inside your head. But to the entire village? What could have possibly happened for his hatred towards these people?
While wandering along the bridge to the beach in deep thought, a shake from a phone vibration awakened from her overthinking. Searching through her overall outfit and pulling out her phone, her expression darkened. “Dad...”
She really doesn’t have the mood to answer his call. She doesn’t want to get herself involved in her family’s issues anymore. But then again, what could possibly be the reason her father called her? Gulping away the lump inside her throat, her finger hesitantly hover over the green icon before sliding it to answer.
From a simple greeting, the father enthusiastically rambles about how the family is going and about his work on and on. Hearing how cheerful he sounded on the other end, maybe picking up the call wasn’t a bad idea. Well…. She hoped it was…. After a few minutes of ramblings, the father’s voice turns serious, anxiety scorching inside Zera’s body.
“Listen, the reason I called you… I want you to come back to the city.”
Zera gasps in surprise.
“I know, your grandfather gave you the inheritance to you. But you can just sell that place right? Make some money out of it! Why bother coming to a lowly countryside anyway?”
Zera becomes speechless. She can’t think of anything to reply back. Even the drizzling raindrops falling above her can’t bother her to move a muscle.
“Think about it! We really miss you, Zera. Come back to us, okay?”
Even after ending the conversation with those last words, she still can’t believe what she just heard. Selling her grandfather’s farm? The only possession he left behind after his passing? Her only getaway ticket?
The rain had gone heavier a while ago, but she doesn’t bother to seek shelter as she leans against the bridge railing in distress. With her palms covering her face, she doesn't know if she should cry or scream her feelings out. How could her father say that so casually about her grandfather? Didn’t they used to come by here for vacations? What made him say so lowly about the country life? Questions among questions come piling inside her mind, ensuing her anxieties burning inside.
That’s when, a voice she never heard of shocks her to face their way. Eyes widened, the person she’s been desperately trying to get along with is standing before her. Noticing his features are covered with his hoodie, the expressions he’s making clearly can’t be seen with the rainy weather accompanying it.
“What are you doing here?”
Sebastian sounds confused as he looks at her drenched figure. She quickly ruffles her wet hair from the excess water, even though it’s still pouring, and gives him her usual smile. Of course, there’s no response. Ah, maybe he really does hate her for coming to this town. She lowers her gaze to the river, staring at her glum reflection.
Just when she has surrendered herself to the rain, a presence hovers above her. An umbrella? Is this coming from…
“Here, you need this more than I do.”
He holds out the opened umbrella to Zera with his other hand stuffed into the jacket’s pocket. Hesitantly taking the umbrella, Sebastian leans against the bridge railings with her. While the two silently listen to the sound of the pouring rain, Zera wonders to start up a conversation with him. Trying to come up with a topic in mind, Sebastian has already come up with one.
“So, did something happen?”
Zera looks over to his side.
“You were standing in the rain with nothing to shelter yourself. Did the call hurt you or something?”
She can’t tell if he’s being nosy or being considerate, but maybe he is concerned from the tone of his voice.
“It’s nothing, really. Just family stuff.” She scoffs.
“Did you come here to escape from them?”
Now that shocked her. Well, he was standing on the other side of the bridge right after the call ended so he might have overheard the whole conversation. Well, she can’t hide it anymore. It must have been written on her face by now. She takes a deep breath and carefully lets out the hidden feelings inside her.
“I… guess you could say that. The city life isn’t my kind of lifestyle.”
“What kind of lifestyle do you want then?”
“You know, something quiet… Something I can do stuff by myself without no one pushing me to do it based on their specific way… ”
“And you picked this place? It’s not how you like it, that I can tell.”
“Well, at least you get more nature scenery here than the city. I like the countryside more.”
“If you like it so much, then why did you look depressed?”
Her eyes cast to the water. Should she say it? Should she tell him about the conversation?
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about it. I’m not as bad as what everyone said to you. I kept my word when I said so. Besides, you’re not gonna bottle it up, are you?”
He’s right. She shouldn’t bottle her unwanted feelings inside, she doesn’t want these guilty feelings to ruin her life in this village. No more hardened feelings. Time to let them out! As she takes a deep breath, she finally talks it out about what happened. The sudden force of dragging her to come home. The sudden look down to the countryside life. Her overthinking of which side she should take. To the very end, she told him. To the very end, she looked over his way to see his reaction about this matter.
To see him listening to her intently, she wonders. Is this the first time they ever talked this long? Is this actual progress on getting his friendship flag up? Even after telling the full story, her mind wanders on how he would respond.
“So, you’re saying you want to stay here more than living in that cramped place right? Then why are you so worked up about? Tell him you like staying here. Tell him you rather have a life of your own since you’re a grown up now.”
She nods in agreement. He has a point. She has to stand up for her own decisions or this won’t go anywhere. She’ll give her answer once she’s ready. Now with her mind cleared from worries, another comes into thought. She finally gets to talk with Sebastian! Her final checklist has crossed out. But of course, she’s not gonna end there. She still wonders as to why he tried to help sorting her personal problems. Now that she still has her chance, she asked what was on her mind.
Even though her question surprised him, he scoffs a little and says, “I… kind of relate to your situation, for some reason.”
“Oh? How so?“
“I’m not telling.” His heart bar isn’t full enough? Sounds fair. They only just started talking anyway.
Zera chuckles a little before facing him. “Alright. But thanks for your help.”
She extends her hand to Sebastian, inviting him for a handshake. Even though it’s awkward for his side, he shakes it anyway and nods.
“By the way, I don’t know if you’ve heard of me by now, but I’m Zera. I hope we can get along from now.” She smiles, now with her cheerful self.
“Sure. Let’s get along then.”

Happy 8th Anniversary Benichi!
(I'm a little late but my perfectionism got the best of me so this took longer to make than I wanted.)
As you know, the internet doesn't forget and neither do I. From the "Twilight Version" of Be my Princess to being trapped in cages, questionable relationships and often times even more questionable english.
This was such a nice trip down memory lane, though I also died a little inside. (Especially the part at the beginning. It's weird to think some people aren't even aware that thing with Voltage happened lol).
Here are 8 years of joy and suffering as an Otome Fan. Thanks for making this blog the fun place it is together with me. I know tumblr can be wack but I truly love all of you and benichi. Here's to many more years :)
