I love watcher, have always loved watcher, but I do not for a second believe that they are ANYWHERE near big enough to have an ENTIRE own streaming platform for THEMSELVES. That is absolutely not feasable. At all. They just barely have 3 mil subscribers, which yeah, thats a lot of people, but not even people with 10, 100 mil would think it would be a good idea to put ALL of their content behind a paywall, ESPECIALLY when their audience is mostly young and probably generally broke people. Not to mention that they are alienating all of their international fanbase as well. You NEED to have free content somewhere to actually get people interested in what you do. That is why there is absolutely 0 patreon only content creators. Many of us could have accepted it if they left all their old content as it was but apparently not.
It will be pathetic to watch them backpaddle in a few weeks when they didn't get nearly as many joiners as they hoped. But they seem so sure in this that they frankly will deserve it. Hope it was worth ruining everything they spent basically a decade to build up.

So was anyone gonna tell me that writing can actually be enjoyable when you do it almost purely for your own enjoyment and put 0 pressure on yourself or what you are making or was I supposed to learn that 2 years after I crashed into a writing wall myself-

Despite being human and having a basic appearance, I quite like my durge
But a basic apperance also means it is easier to find long lost twins arould the world, such as:
random racist:
Astarion's ex, whom he may or may not have technically murdered:
and a dickhead journalists who actively ignores the difference between correlation and causation:
Bhaal may have created Durge sculpting pieces of his own flesh, but at this point I choose to believe that they are all distantly related to 1 person with very, very strong genes and possibly wonky morals.

Everyone gives Sherlock Holmes a hard time about being mean about Watson's writing, but honestly imagine you told your roommate "sure, you can write up an account of my work for the newspaper," thinking it would be like, about the murder, but then he publishes it and it's 90% about you, as a person, and it's a huge hit and now everyone in London knows that you hoard newspapers and do cocoaine when you're depressed. Because I think you'd be little miffed too.

Please, for the love of god, please don’t be this person. No matter how long it’s been since an update, no matter how many unfinished stories are sitting on their account, no matter what - do not be this person.
Not only is it insanely rude, but you also do more damage than you think be being such a self-entitled ass about something someone created for free and for fun. “This author” can see what you say.
RIP decency indeed.
