Was going to finish a piece for Soulmate!AU before work, but I was caught up with work and am guess finishing now; bundled with a headcanon.
Essentially, one's soulmate starts out as a soul possessing a crystal figurine, but would eventually need a physical body- which is mostly flesh-and-blood save for the crystals growing from their chests (cliche fantasy type trope but)
Anyway, this cluster of crystals acts sort of like a conduit/life force for a soulmate for their abilities (i.e: regeneration, turning to crystal in the event of extreme harm, healing, and other varied abilities exclusive to one soulmate), and is usually made of the same crystal that the soulmate's original 'body' was carved from. (in Doppio's case, amethyst in this AU)

Okay this is based on this post I made a month back but I at least wanted to draw the concept down before I forgot it
I might post more of it if I don't chicken out or scare myself out of creating more of it

"Oh, it's alright." The woman said, standing up. "People just call me Angel." When she got up, a pair of small wings could be seen on her back.
Solido felt a bit awed by the woman's wings, but snaps out of it quickly. "It's, uh-" he says. "It's nice to meet you." While he is feeling lost regarding the whole situation, he figured he would still be friendly.
Kelly nods in response as well, just as curious (if not a tad apprehensive) about Angel's wings. "Whilst I hate to involve you in this, but do you mind if you could come along with us?" She asks. "While I am unsure what your abilities are, I have a feeling you can help us."

The woman couldn't help but be confused by what Kelly was saying. Stand business? What did she mean by that?
Now that she thought about it, she remembered encountering someone that looked a bit like him... She shook her head. No. Now's not the time to think about it. Once they're out of... wherever, she'll ask him.
But the thing that stuck out to her was what the jackal figure said to Kelly and Solido. "The source of the hell must be destroyed. Both of them."
Kelly could see the woman's confusion, and tries her best to explain what she knew about stands. "Basically, it's a sort of entity with supernatural abilities- as far as I know, mine traps others in some sort of Hell dimension." She said, rubbing at her eyes. "I have a feeling that I caused its ability to activate when I passed out from exhaustion."
Solido made a concerned face at this. "... exhaustion?" He questioned, on guard. "What do you mean?"
Kelly sighs. "I don't usually sleep. It's a long, complicated story." She answers, her tone a bit remorseful.
Solido could remember faint things about stands, yet he felt like a blank slate. Maybe if he asked the stand where the sources were...
"You said both the sources of this hell have to be destroyed." He said to the stand. "Where can we find them?"
"One of them has been actively stalking me for a while, but I have recently been able to lose it." It explained. "The other one is still alive, despite all the damage you have done to it."
Solido started to remember that, especially how it was rightfully and literally beaten to a pulp. "So we have to go back out there to find them?" He asks.
"It looks like it." The stand answers, tone grim. "Fighting them physically may not be enough, however."
Kelly did wonder who this stranger was, and felt a bit improper for not asking her name. "My apologies, but we never asked for your name."

She gives Solido a comforting smile. "It's okay. I don't want to distract you from what you're doing." Her eyes glanced down to the bag of coffee grounds(?) that he apparently was talking to. "Who was that, by the way?"
"...Dunno, but they sounded familiar." Solido answers, placing the bag back on the counter. Quietly, he walked back to the table and drank down the rest of his tea, making an odd face as he did so.
Kelly didn't seem fazed by the whole thing, shrugging. "That's not the strangest thing I've seen." She says nonchalantly. "To me, this is pretty normal."
Solido realized something was watching them from the door, and quietly walks to the door to open it- there was a jackal-shaped figure there, with a nun stand behind it. Solido awkwardly stared until he finally broke the silence. "...were you looking for us?" He asks, somewhat confused.
The jackal figure seemed to nod, its face neutral. It walks to Kelly and quietly utters "I've been looking you."
Kelly shrugs slightly, a bit surprised. "...I would have guessed, given this stand business." She answers with a nod. "How do we leave this hell?"
"The source of the hell must be destroyed." The stand answers, its tone blunt. "Both of them."
There was an awkward silence, before Solido (faintly remembering beating the shit out of something) finally says something.
"... I'm sorry?"

The mysterious person blinks. "Yeah, I think I am." She looks down nervously, tapping her thumbs. "Who are you guys?"
"Oh." Kelly answers, her tone neutral. "I'm Kelly Genieve and this is-"
"It's- uh-" Solido started to hear...ringing? He wasn't too sure; where would a phone be in such a rotten looking place? "It's Solido."
Kelly nods. "He was passed out in front of the breakroom door, and he had been looking for me." She explains, her tone momentarily concerned as Solido started looking around, picking things up and placing them down. "It's... a long story."
Solido, on the other hand, was looking for the source of the ringing sound, which sounded like a phone ringing incessantly. Within moments, he found the source: a bag of coffee grounds(?). Shrugging, he puts it to his ear. "Hello, who is this?"
"It actually went through?"
Solido's eyes widened. "What do you mean?" He asks, startled. "Who are you?" He could see Kelly give a causal thumbs up out of the corner his eye, seemingly nonchalant.
"It's okay- I'm actually going to help you!" The voice said, sounding comfortingly familiar. "Did you get to the breakroom?"
"I- yeah." Solido answers. "Everything is old and run down, and I'm not sure what's going on."
"Oh shit." There was a quick aside conversation for a moment, then the voice came back on the 'line'. "I'm getting my boss on the line, okay?"
Solido nodded, and after a moment, another voice spoke on the 'line'. "I'll explain what is going on to you in brief." It states, tone formal but urgent. "You and your coworker are trapped by her stand for the time being, and in so far, there is one way to undo its effect."
"I- uh, alright?" Solido answers back.
"Good. We'll talk later."
There was a vacant click at the end of the call, and Solido sheepishly looks at the stranger. "Sorry about that..." He mumbles.
