Miranax “Mira” Ref
(backstory under the cut)
Prior to the war, Mira lived in the outlands with Cliff and a small colony of programs, mostly ISOs and a few strays, of which she is neither. Her purpose was as an inventor of sorts, creating technology within the grid to optimize life for the programs living there. However, the coding of her render was flawed; sections were unstable, flickering in and out of existence, with some sections, such as her arm, gone entirely.
This didn’t stop her from serving out her purpose and she was able to make rudimentary stabilizers to prevent the glitching and basic prosthetics for the missing pieces. However, she was still an imperfect program in a system bent on perfection. Though her mind and abilities were completely intact, the programs around her saw only her body and she was frequently barred from being able to live up to her true potential.
That is, until she met Mark, an ISO who’d come in from the outlands to restock supplies. Though he wasn’t originally looking for one, there was no denying the colony needed a tech and she needed something new to do. And there she found it, a technical playground of sorts where she was free to live out her purpose to the highest extent, developing code to make the hard life of the wasteland a little easier for the colonists, as well as work on some personal projects on the side.
She was actually the one who found Cliff, wandering aimlessly in the outlands with no idea of who or where he was, and brought him back to live with the colonists. They quickly developed a familial bond. When the Purge struck, the two of them found a new calling, with Cliff working undercover in the occupation to transport ISOs out of the city, and Mira using the newly developed disguising tech built into her stabilizers to pass unnoticed in the city as she located and brought the fugitives to Cliff for safe passage.

Lazy promo for my half-assed blog (The characters are not the half-assed part I promise)
Since I only come to tumblr for Tron content any more, I present… Another RP blog! Back with my over 10 years experience in creative writing with a whole TWO new OCs! Except one isn’t that new I’ve kinda had her since waaaayyyy back. The laziness part of this blog is simply the design. I don’t have it in me any more to make a fancy blog… I just want to write, man. I couldn’t even muster the strength to draw. Allow me to introduce my lovely ladies -  Read about Ada here! Read about Vox here!

“Short answer, yes. Long answer, not if I can help it.”

Reblog if you’re alright with creating new verses or AU’s to interact with other RPer’s!
While your muses might not be from the same universe or be able to interact easily, things can always be worked out if the muns collaborate and talk with each other!

The second the messenger approached him, carrying nothing but a small, nondescript grey cube, Cliff knew this wasn’t going to be a standard delivery mission. Usually it was Tyke delivering items and orders, occasionally rectified soldiers if the mission was something The General didn’t want the loose-lipped commander blabbering to him about. Not that he didn’t always find out anyways. But for her to send Jada, her right-hand program who had definitely never been sent to deal with him as she was much too important for that, Cliff knew immediately that he must find out what was in that box. He tried pressing her for information, but short of the simple instructions of ‘Deliver this to Argon immediately’, she ignored him.
So he did as he was told. She never told him he couldn’t take a quick detour to Purgos.
Klez had been more than happy to help with his mysterious box dilemma. A shady technician who had connections everywhere yet answered to no one, doing everything for his own purposes and curiosity, he was instantly enthralled with the box, especially when he heard where it had come from. As a readout came through on the datapad Cliff was holding as Klez scanned the cube, he read in horror what it contained and dashed the screen to the floor, stomping on it as he snatched away the cube. “Hey, what’d you do that for?” Klez protested, looking down at the smashed screen.
“Occupation business. You know how it is. I need you to deliver a message to anyone you know in the uprising. Tell them to find a program named Tabs and give her this. Got it?” He scribbled a set of coordinates on a plastic-like notepad Klez kept on a table and folded it, handing it to him.
“Hey, Klez ain’t some messenger…” A sharp and uncharacteristically serious glare from Cliff cut him off. “Fine, fine, you’re lucky I like you. I’ve derezzed programs for less. But first, you gotta tell me… Hey!” But he was already out the door.
Deep in the bowels of the city, hidden just a corner’s turn from the coordinates he’d given, Cliff waited. He could only hope the message had made it to her safely, for though he had a few uprising contacts that would have been easier to find, she was the only one he trusted enough with what he had found. He wasn’t sure why, they’d only known each other for a short period of time. Maybe it was the near death experience. He peered around the corner again, hoping to see her but she still wasn’t there. He’d come there nervous, now he was nearing panic. To say time was of the essence was an understatement; Tesler would find out before too long that the cube he’d given him was a fake and while he did have a pretty good story about it getting switched during docking, he needed to make sure that the real one he held was as far away from occupation hands as possible. Lost in the thoughts of what could happen if he failed, he almost missed her quiet ‘Hello?’.
Almost.
Whipping around the corner a little more recklessly than he should have all things considered, he nearly ran right into her. “You made it…” He could have hugged her right then with how relieved he was that the message got through, but there was no time for that. “Listen, I don’t usually do this, calling for back-alley meetings and such, so know that this is unbelievably important. We’re talking end-of-the-grid-as-we-know-it important.” He ran one hand through his hair, holding out the cube with the other. “Tabs, I need your help. With this, the occupation could rectify every program in a city. Every city even. And no one could stop them because no one would want to.”
   starter for @beast-of-the-occupation
Thunder rumbled overhead in the city, the simulated lightning far off in the distance as the short program made her way through the sparsely populated street. Readjusting the loose hood of her cloak, she checked her coordinates briefly, keeping her head low. She’d been on the ever growing list of disappeared programs for a good few hundred cycles by now, so the chances of anyone remembering, or Flynn forbid, recognizing her face were slim — but it never hurt to be careful.
Soon she was hidden from the eyes of the crowd, tucked away in an alley, hovering awkwardly as she triple checked the rendezvous location for the umpteenth time. This was it alright, but it seemed to her that no one was to be found. Yet.
When Cliff’s message had made its way to Talba, passed along program to program until it miraculously made it into her hands, she’d been… Relieved, to say the least. Many a time her thoughts had gone back to that night, leaving him behind in that garage to regrettably follow his leash back to Clu, and wondered if he made it back alive. To see that he had was comforting, but she’d still only known him for a quarter-milli, and to be directly contacted by him for a meetup when he was still Occupation was… Well, circuit wracking.
She didn’t fully trust him, despite the good nature he clearly had, but she’d convinced the others to take the risk, and stuck her neck out for the chance at important intel. If it was a trap, with any luck she’d be the only one to pay for it.
Glancing around once more, she chanced a quiet call.
   “Hello…?”

(Just wanted to let everyone know, since I know I kinda disappeared again, that I’m probably going to be offline for a while rp wise. Nothing’s wrong, I’ve just picked up a lot of new hobbies and am graduating soon so I have to be an Adult and do things, so I won’t have much time for rping. I may reblog other peoples stuff from time to time, maybe post some stuff of my own, but I won’t rp anymore.
Still, I want to say a huge thank you to the people who have rped with me, especially @architectprogramtalba. It really does mean a lot and I’m sorry I couldn’t be a bit more consistent. It has been fantastic and I wish everyone the best.)

Mal, Cliff’s nearly indestructible virus form. Equipped with a powerful laser cannon for a right arm, he makes for a formidable opponent, but not an impossible one. Weaknesses include shock grenades, any form of electricity, and not being very intelligent, as his mind is set on destruction and destruction alone. Origin unknown.

So, I’m planning on shifting the focus of this blog a bit. I feel like I’m doing something wrong with the rping and it’s causing me some issues, so I’m going to stop rping and starting working more on character development, asks, art, and hopefully eventually comics. This will be an indefinite change, however, if I have a thread running with you already, I will continue it. I just don’t plan on starting any new ones. I’m also going to shift the focus away from Cliff a bit and use the other characters listed to get some character development going on them, but Cliff will still be my main.
