Welcome to Paragon City!

The year is 2109 and exactly 63 years have passed since the fall of Elysium. Since then, a new city has arisen from the ashes of a long and dark war between multiple mega-corporations. Located on the west coast of America, Paragon City is a thriving and vibrant metropolis that seems to be at its peak. But under the sleek and modern façade lies a city built on corruption, greed, and violence.

Play as a customisable MC who happens to stumble across one of Paragon City’s best kept secrets.

Choose to play as four different species- human, replicant, cyborg, and android- which will alter the way your story unfolds.

Visit multiple locations in Paragon City such as Darkside- a seedy underground nightclub that doubles as a meeting place where deals are conducted, and Elysium- the deadly ruins of a former city.

Meet, and maybe romance, various characters such as Elza Arcadia- a famous and charming rockerboy with a dark secret, Valerie Halifax- an abrasive and calculating cyborg who is also a skilled mercenary, and Mason Delaney- a weapons dealer who has history with Paragon City’s biggest corporations.

Learn more about Paragon City’s history, uncover the truth, and ultimately decide the city’s fate.

The demo, which consists of the first chapter, will hopefully be up by April 31. Further updates with this story will be available on its own blog- paragondaily

Chapter 2 is complete! (Mar. 25, 2022)

Now that this is finally ready, the next thing on my plate are some disgustingly overdue short stories 😷 The Chapter 3 update isn't a priority until those are completed and submitted. The forum post features some more info about what's next and the ask box here on the blog is open.

Hi, everyone! I've (FINALLY) finished writing the first draft for chapter 6 and it is now playable! Thanks so much to everyone who has sent kind words and been patient while I took a break to regroup. I'm in a much better place for writing now and hope to get back to a regular update schedule.

Also, I broke the saves so you'll all have to start over... sorry! But it's been a long time since the last update, so it hopefully won't be too much of a slog to get through.

Woe is life in a dystopian world where roughly 60% of the population is blessed (or cursed depending on the point of view) with afflictions of all kinds and tiers.

You, someone carrying the burden of being a five, managed to hide the excess of your powers from the government, consequently avoiding the conscription into the Special Forces. Unbeknownst to you, the incorrect evaluation back at the Academy threw you out of the ashes and straight into the fire.

All the clichés you’ve ever heard are true and your life is unfair. Still, there’s no use crying over spilled milk, or, well, Perfumare* in your case.

When the dangers of your job as a rookie narco** catch up with you, intricating you in a series of strange suicides that have befallen the city of Elazar, you quickly realize that you can’t deal with everything alone.

Or, well, you can try. The destiny, though, is clear and just like death, it waits for no one.

*A non-addictive yet potent central nervous system stimulant. Used to temporarily increases the strength and level of one’s affliction, and, in rare cases, awaken a gift previously undiscovered.

**As of 1978 Perfumare has been classified as a harmful drug. The use, sale, and possession of Perfumare are illegal under federal law. If you came in contact with Perfumare get in touch with the Bureau of Control and Prevention immediately.

J. ‘Jewel’ Aner: Your coworker of three years. Whether she actually likes you or not, there’s no denying that you work well together, forming an easy routine in and outside of the workplace. She’s a tough one to get to know, keeping you at a distance, as though there is a secret she’s concealing from anyone who might get too close. One thing is certain, she always knows more than she lets on. Or, at least, that’s the impression she gives off.

Privately, though still rather rigid and closed off, he’s been nothing but kind to you, to the point that you can’t help but question the authenticity of his actions.
