PLEASE. - Scaramouche x Reader.
warnings; scaramouche LOL. swearing, which is a given in any scara fic i write
word count; cant be fucked ill check later but it's short
prompt; 21. "Sharing your umbrella with them in the rain."
a/n; SCARA HATING THE RAINN >>>> anyway pretend he hasn't got the hat on bc it could make things a bit awkward LOL
Tumblr media
"Fucking move over."
You would flinch, but commands like these ones don't come as offensive to you anymore. Not after spending the last few years with this prick up your figurative asshole.
"Please move over?" You'd try and correct, though you knew your efforts would turn fruitless again. These conversations always ended with an eye roll or the silent treatment, and it's been that way since you've met the traveller.
Until this one didn't.
"Please. Fucking. Move. Over."
Are you hallucinating? Are the years of barren halls in the Tsaritsa's lifeless castle back in Snezhnaya finally catching up to you? You really hope not. Despite the new evolutionary discovery in communication, the subject in mind clearly didn't plan on giving you time to marvel in victory.
"Are you deaf? Or just stupid? I said move!"
"Fucking hell, Scara, it's my umbrella, you know-" You're interrupted by a sudden rough shove against your chest from an offending elbow, "-and there's only so much room that's gonna fit under it-!"
You hardly manage to get the last words of your sentence out, before you're falling to the ground, and landing in the muddy, damp ground of Inazuma. Or, you would be, if a soft force hadn't wrapped around your wrist with the reflex of a Harbinger.
"Moron." The purple clad man sighs under his breath, using little effort despite his frame to pull you back to stability.
The umbrella was probably unneeded now, with how both of you stood officially soaked from your earlier manoeuvre, but neither you nor Scaramouche would comment on that fact, and instead continue your tread to wherever the other decided.
"I even tried 'please'." He finally spoke after a beat of silence, and you could almost hear the upturn of the corner of his mouth in his voice now that you were successfully as drenched as he was.
"You swore. It cancels it out."
"Oh, go fuck yourself."

anti harem with an aware papyrus idea #2
let’s say that the day after sans kicks reader out of the house, papyrus goes to a cafe and runs into the reader there. papyrus absolutely devastated by the events that occured yesterday and how his brothers reacted to the situation, rushes over to hug the reader. they hug him back and tell him good morning, but he’s not responding.
the reader asks him if he’s okay and the only thing that comes out of the poor skelly’s mouth is a groan. and when the reader pulls away, they’re stumped at the tears that are running down their friend’s face and his deep frown.
the both of them then leave the cafe, drinks and food forgotten about, and they make their way to a nearby park. they sit down at a bench and as soon as they do, papyrus just lets all his thoughts out.
his frustration over edge, blackberry, and stretch belittling him. his confusion over whether or not the girlfriend was speaking the truth or if she just had a problem with the reader that could have been mended. his betrayal over sans trying to control his life and dictate who he can or cannot hang out with.
and the only thing the reader can do is hug him and whisper affirming words to papyrus as he cries his worries.
the only thing they can do is be his friend.

FLATTENING DOWN THE SHINY MATERIAL OF YOUR DRESS IN THE MIRROR, YOU GIVE YOUR BEST OUTFIT ONE FINAL LOOK OVER. Your makeup was enough, just a little more than something too natural, and your shoes complimented the shine of light reflecting from your dress nicely. It was probably the best looking you'd been in a while.
Well, it wouldn't be difficult to be. With all of the stresses that come with being a family friend of the Hargreeves', your number one priority lately hasn't been looking good, that's for sure.
You can't help but wonder why you're still feeling so incredibly nervous, even though tonight is probably the night you've looked forward to the most for almost 60 whole years. You end up compressing your answer down to 'general nerves' (if those even exist.)

EFFECT. - F. Hargreeves x Reader. pt. 2.
. PART 1 (pt 2 can be read without reading part 1 first, though)
warnings; season 3 spoilers, subtle mentions of drinking and drunk behaviours.
word count; 1.6k
requested taglist; @snixx2088 , @silky-slinky , @shirostrbl .
synopsis; You've been in love with the dumb kid for as long as you've known him. Despite the almost-60 years of friendship between you, you had been doing an okay job at hiding said feelings from him. Or so you thought.
a/n; ! reader is also 60 in a 15 yr old body ! AAHJAAAHAHA WRITING THIS ACTUALLY KILLED ME I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.!!!!!! i think it's safe to say that this fic won't need another part BUT if you have anything else you wanna see with five (or any other character from anything if i'm aware of them) my requests and dms are officially open!

Holding your stare on the mirror, your head spins with fast moving memories of only just a couple hours ago. It felt like weeks ago now with how eagerly you'd been waiting. You think of the way Five's arms had wrapped intimately around your waist, how he held you so tightly yet loose enough to give you the option to move away, and the way his lips pressed against yours ever so quickly, in a certain way that made you want to stay like that forever more. The whole scene mesmerized you, and kept you trapped in your thoughts so defiantly you didn't even register the knock on the door from a familiar face until they entered your view in the mirror in front of you.
The sight made you jump. The unexpected, yet welcome, visitor making you throw a hand to your chest in shock as you turned around harshly to meet his questioning gaze.
"You looked out of it." Diego comments, small smirk on his face. He was leaned against the door frame of your room, arms crossed.
"I was," You almost laugh at yourself, then shrug. "Just thinking about tonight."
His left eyebrow raised in a way that told you he definitely didn't believe you. What more could you tell him, though? Sorry, I was fantasizing about the kiss with your brother I had earlier. The voice in your head almost made you laugh once more, but you held yourself back. You didn't want to come off as any more crazy than you probably already have.
"Anyway," You start up again, silence becoming a bit too awkward for your liking. "The wedding. Have I missed anything yet?" Diego shakes his head.
"Only if you count Klaus trying his best at coming up with a wedding officiant speech." Diego chuckles to himself, and it almost comes off as sad, if you're hearing it correctly. "This is gonna be a fucking mess."
You give him a small, sad smile back, "Yeah, but it's also the end of the world. Everything's a mess." You try at a joke, "At least Luther and Sloane have found a way to make everything easier. It'll be good for us."
"You've got a point there." He shrugs, then uncrosses his arms and pushes himself off of the frame with his shoulder. At least your words seemed to be some sort of comfort?
"Did you want something, or..?" You turn back to the mirror, deciding your mascara could do with one final coat.
Diego chuckles, "Nah, I was just walking past and saw you staring into another dimension. Had to make sure you weren't about to faint on the spot." He was most likely joking, but the sentiment made you smile anyway. "Although, you might wanna head down soon. Five looks like he's about to disintegrate. Probably thinks you stood him up, or something." Number 2's statement made you turn around sharply with a frown, mascara wand in your hand suddenly forgotten.
"What? How do you know about..?" You tilt your head, frown deepening.
"Viktor left the door open." Diego's smile turns smug, and he turns to walk back down the hall with that sentence hanging in the open air.
Of course he did.
You weren't mad about it, everyone had to find out somehow. And knowing Diego, he's told Lila. And knowing Lila, she's told everyone else. At least that resolves the stress of questioning glances on the dance floor later.
It's then that Diego's words actually register in your mind: Probably thinks you stood him up, or something.
You immediately screw the wand back onto the mascara bottle and almost sprint for the elevator.
-
You pressed your back against the uncomfortable chair dragged from the bar of the extremely large hotel lobby, wide smile on your face as you clap for the two lovebirds while they celebrated their official marriage with a kiss. The major boring parts of the wedding had successfully passed (not that you could comfortably call Klaus' speech boring, it entertained you to no end if you were being honest) and now it was time for the part of the evening that had been giving you butterflies for the past 6 or so hours: the reception.
You'd been trying not to make a big deal of anything, it wasn't your special day, after all, but you definitely were now with the way Five's eyes had been catching yours all evening.
Thoughts flashed in your head of the way his demeanor visibly relaxed once he saw you exit the small space of the elevator. You also could've sworn he did a double take after his first glance at you. You liked to imagine it was because of the way you were dressed up, but it was more a fantasy than anything.
Once everyone's clapping had subsided, and the bride and groom finished their kiss, everyone stood and made their way to a nicely set up buffet table. They all talked and chatted, the happy atmosphere doing incredible things for everyone's nerves.
Everyone's but yours. And things weren't made any easier when you finally made eye contact with your slowly approaching close friend.
"I think you owe me a couple things, dear."
His voice alone was enough to set off butterflies in your stomach, as if they'd been sitting there all evening and Five had just disturbed them with a wave of his hand.
You lift your head to make eye contact with him, shy smile finding your features. "What would those things be?"
"A dance, if I recall correctly." Five shoots back immediately, "And dinner, since you wanted to keep me waiting so long."
"Please, you waited 45 minutes at most."
"Exactly: too long."
The banter was familiar enough to you that it calmed down your heated skin and shaking hands. Everything suddenly felt a lot clearer.
Dinner shared with Five went smoother than you ever could've imagined. The atmosphere was perfect for the scenario, romantic and formal, yet still so filled with comfort and warmth that the air wasn't stiff and there was room to breathe freely. The both of you had great conversations about everything there was to talk about: repeated apocalypses, childhood memories, and times Luther acted like an idiot. It was amazing, and just what you needed to prepare yourself for the anticipated part of the night (on top of some liquid courage.)
Once you'd seen Diego, Lila and Klaus dancing on the middle of the strangely-well lit dance floor, you knew immediately what Five's knowing glances started to mean.
Your heart skipped a beat once you'd seen him get up from his seat, and outstretch his hand towards you as he walked to where you were seated. He stumbled minimally, not fully drunk yet, to your surprise.
"May I?" He looked down at you, green eyes completely captivating you just as they had every day for the almost 60 years you'd known him.
"You may." You give him a sly smile, placing your hand in his carefully. He guides you from your seat to the wooden floor, each step you take in time with his.
Once the two of you found a spot on the floor, you moved your unoccupied hand up to his shoulder, and adjusted your grip on his hand so that it fit better in his with your new position. His hand sneaked it's way onto the small of your back and you couldn't help the flips your heart did when you felt the small squeeze he gave your own hand with his other one.
Maybe you were wrong in your assumption that Lila had told everyone about you and Five's blooming relationship, as you could definitely feel a couple of gazes boring into the back of your head. You had much bigger things to direct your attention to, though, such as the way Five pressed his forehead against yours in a way that allowed you to smell the scent of the alcohol the two of you had been consuming earlier.
You and Five swayed with each other in time with whatever music Chet had playing over the speakers, not really bothering to actually dance, but more sink in each others' presences.
"I know I don't really show it," Five starts, and the slur in his voice makes you fail to hide your smile, "But I care about you. A lot." He sighs, and presses himself into you further, "A whole fucking lot."
You giggle, maybe he was a little more intoxicated than you first thought, judging by the crack in his voice, "And I, you." You reply with a silent grin.
"Yeah, I.." Five swallowed, "I'm glad."
Your eyes now meeting his, a silent moment passes between you two.
"Can I kiss you?" He breaks the silence with a voice that was now very much less slurred and more a whisper.
"Nothing stopped you earlier, hm?" You responded, already moving your lips closer to his own.
And as he pressed his face against yours for the second time that day, and the way that what was left of the world was drowned out around you, you find you couldn't imagine a better way to spend your last night with your first (and only) love.

FIVE HARGREEVES REALLY HAD NO IDEA OF THE EFFECT HE HAD ON YOU. The way he always had to be strongest in the room, the way he'd always have a snarky response prepared for an enemy's threat, and the way his slim fingers would curl around a trigger like it was second nature. His whole character was so incredibly intriguing, yet still so unbelievably annoying to you. He was difficult to figure out - to put it in short, and you loved that.
Maybe some would describe you the same, you think to yourself. After all, you couldn't deny you'd been giving the poor boy a hard time with the endless teasing (if you could call "throwing the first insult that comes to your lovesick mind" teasing.) Knowing Five for this long was probably rubbing off on you. Still, it wasn't unusual for him to reciprocate.
That's probably why you hadn't been able to keep today's earlier events out of your untiring mind.

After all, you couldn't deny you'd been giving the poor boy a hard time with the endless teasing. (if you could call "throwing the first insult that comes to your lovesick mind" teasing.) Knowing Five for this long was probably rubbing off on you. Still, it wasn't unusual for him to reciprocate.
That's probably why you hadn't been able to keep today's earlier events out of your untiring mind.
The morning started off relatively normal - or so you thought. You woke up in your uncomfortable hotel bed to the smell of a plate of buffet breakfast; something you'd been getting used to at Hotel Obsidian. It wasn't uncommon for one of your best friend's siblings to bring you a meal before you woke, much to your delight. Breakfast in bed is so much easier than going down to the hotel lobby in your pyjamas half-asleep.
After a repetitive breakfast you were downstairs for the majority of the day, talking and stressing along with everyone else. This seemed to be a common thing among the Hargreeves. Well, along with saving the world from a certain someone and a new injury on your body every day. It wasn't until late afternoon had the seemingly "average" day taken a drastic turn. For the better, or worse.
You and the ex-assassin were placed on his bottom bunk, alone in his shared hotel room and sitting cross-legged in comfortable silence. This was a common scene for you two - often just wallowing in each other's presence while Five worked on equations, ranted about a sibling of his, or rambled a story about a commission member you'd heard a million times over. It was familiar, and that was exactly what the both of you needed now with all of these apocalypses; some familiarity.
"(Name)?"
Flinching at the sudden sound, you looked up, "Sorry?" A sheepish grin caught your features, how unlike you to zone out. Five clearly thought so, too. He rolled his eyes.
"I said, Luther's got his bachelor party later. I'm going." You almost forgot about Luther and Sloane's little announcement from earlier. It was.. unexpected, to say the least. Five did suggest completing our bucket lists, though, didn't he?
"You're going?" You had to hold back a laugh, almost. Five was playing into their little event? What made it so surprising was his adamancy on not going a couple hours ago. Also, Luther mentioned karaoke was to be a major part of the event, and if Five planned on drinking.. (which, who were you kidding, of course he did.)
"Don't act so surprised, jeez." Five rolled his eyes once more, "He's my brother, you know. And what else do you expect me to do currently? It's not like there's much of a world to explore out there." You watched as his eye drifted to peek at the curtain you'd closed when you first came in here, the atmosphere outside too devastating to wallow in.
"Well, yeah. Didn't take much convincing on their behalf, is all."
"They made little jars. What else can I ask for?"
You giggled at that, and Five cracked his signature almost-smile. "Is that what you're wearing?" You asked in a last attempt to make conversation as your best friend stood up from where he sat on the bed.
"Why? What's wrong with the suit?" Five glanced at a full length mirror that sat on the wall to his right. He brought his hands to the hems of his suit, tugging it tighter against his torso. You couldn't do anything but stare. That was attractive. That was so attractive.
"Nothing! Nothing's wrong with the suit." You answered quickly, and truthfully. "Just wondering. Because at this point, those are your casual clothes."
"What would be my formal clothes, then?" Five looked back over to you, and you couldn't answer. Your eyes were still locked on his hands, and what was worse is that now he could see that.
You both awkwardly sit there for a beat. You, staring at Five hopelessly and him catching you in the act. A quick chuckle from him is what breaks you out of your trance.
"At the wedding," He starts, to catch your attention, then turns back to the mirror from earlier to fix his hair, "I have to apologise now for the amount of alcohol I could end up consuming." Before he speaks, he reconsiders his words, as if he was going to say something different. There was a break in his voice that showed this. Just another thing you've picked up from knowing Five for so long: the ability to read him well.
"Nothing I haven't handled before." You shrugged, "What were you actually going to say?" Five sighs, he knew he was caught from the minute he spoke.
"Will you dance with me?" Five looks you in the eye through his reflection.
"Of course I will." You laugh, relieved. "That's what you wanted to ask?"
Five shrugs, and doesn't say anything more. He was unusually quiet and it was almost scary to you. God, say something quickly before things get awkward.
"I suppose you should head downstairs, hm?" You get up from the bed, deciding you should head back to the room you shared with Viktor and Allison to find something cute to wear to the wedding.
"I suppose.." He turns around to face you and the two of you lock eyes. "...I should."
Were you always standing this close to him? And has the room always been this hot?
Something strange rushes between the two of you; a new, electrified feeling. You feel Five's arms wrap around your waist, your own unconsciously moving around his neck. You were now both so close to each other you can't make out who's heartbeat it is beating so quickly in your ear, and both your lips not even a centimetre away from each other that if you just leaned the tiniest bit closer-
A knock at the door is what pulls you two apart, as if you were both magnets with a positive charge. You look over to find Viktor, standing like a newborn puppy that just got himself in trouble for the first time.
"..Uh- Sorry. Luther sent me to come and get Five. The bachelor party is, uhm.. starting. So..." Number 7 trails off. You cleared your throat, speaking up.
"No problem. He was just getting ready." A forced smile formed on your face, despite the inner turmoil in your brain. Your head turns to see Five, who was still standing in shock.
Viktor nods, and takes this as a cue to leave.
"..I'll see you at the wedding...?" You try, face warming up as the events from earlier dawn on you.
"Yeah. Yeah, sure." Five nods, running a hand through his hair as he takes a minute to collect himself before he begins to walk off. Before Five can reach the door, you see him hesitate. A moment later, he's located right in front of you after a familiar whoosh sound plays.
You don't even have time to register the use of his powers, let alone the feeling of his lips on yours.
"I'll see you at the wedding." Five repeats, smile now present on his features. You don't get to come back with a response before he's gone with a flash of blue light.
"I can't wait." Is probably what you would've answered, though now the words are lost to empty air, uttered barely a whisper. It's still true, though: you can't wait.
