Beauyasha Week is Back!

Bidet, everyone! 👋 We’re happy to announce that Beauyasha Week 2024 will be from the 27th May to the 2nd of June.🥳

“What is Beauyasha Week?” Beauyasha Week is a annual fanweek. It’s a fan-run event that provides inspiration for fans to create dedicated fanwork for the pairing Beauregard Lionett and Yasha Nydoorin.

For one week, daily prompts are given. Participants are encouraged to post on the day that corresponds with the prompt of their fanwork. You can create animation, art, cosplay, edits, fics, headcanons, memes, mix-media, playlists, etc. To submit your work, simply post it with the tag #BeauyashaWeek2024, and we will share it.⚡👊

sun and sand (beauyasha week day 7)

This is the last day of @beauyasha-week and there is no prompt for today, so enjoy some honeymoon fluff! Read on ao3

The afternoon sun shines down on the beaches of Nicodranas. This time of year, the city is full of tourists, families on vacation, people taking well earned vacations. Among all the chaos are Beau and Yasha, glowing with joy from their wedding just a week ago. 

They’re a few days into their honeymoon, Yasha’s skin already having acquired a nice tan. 

As a wedding gift from Marion, they were given access to her private beach, one surrounded by rocks so the only access is a locked gate. It’s small, but it’s plenty big enough for the newlyweds and their kids. 

It’s unusual to take your kids on a honeymoon, but it wasn’t even a question for the two of them. Cricket and Imdrin needed a vacation just as much as the two of them and they’ve been wanting to take a family vacation for a while now. It was never even considered to leave them behind.

Currently, the family is eating lunch under the shade of a large umbrella. Cricket’s chin is covered with sticky pineapple juice along with her fingers. Beau is in the process of making sandwiches, her legs hooked over Yasha’s. Imdrin sits beside his sister, eating his fruit but at a much slower pace.

“Alright, kids, eat up,” Beau announces as she pushes two plates of sandwiches towards Imdrin and Cricket. Both of the kids thank her before immediately digging in, their playing in the sand and water must have worn them out. 

Yasha leans over to Beau and hooks her chin over her shoulder, “Want to go for a dip while they’re distracted?”

“You read my mind,” Beau chuckles, kissing her wife’s cheek. Her wife. She’s still getting used to it and it makes her heart flutter every single time. 

Yasha helps Beau to her feet, not letting go of her hand as they meander towards the shore. The waves lap gently across the sand, ebbing and flowing as they have for centuries. It’s a thought both comforting and intimidating, but it barely crosses Beau’s mind as Yasha puts a hand on her lower back. 

“How does it feel to be Mrs. Lionett-Nydoorin?” Yasha asks with a teasing smile as she pulls Beau in by her waist. 

Beau laughs, “I could ask the same thing. But it feels amazing.”

Beau kisses her softly, smiling against her lips. They taste like salt from the air and water mingling with the sweetness of the fruit they had been snacking on. The waves lap gently against their thighs, the sensation rather pleasant.

The moment is broken however, when Yasha takes her by the shoulders and dunks her under the water. Beau stands up with a gasp, eyes wide with betrayal as she pushes her dripping hair out of her face. “You really want to start this, babe?”

Yasha smirks playfully, “Well I did, didn’t I?”

“You’re so on.” Beau sweeps Yasha’s legs out from under her, sending her wife under the water with a laugh. The playful fighting continues, both of them wet head to toe and laughing. Beau can’t help but feel an ache in her chest, now the two of them can fight for fun, there is no danger. It’s just fun, not life or death. 

Beau lets out a noise of surprise as Yasha lifts her into her arms, pulling her close so that Beau can wrap her legs around her waist. It’s a little hard to hold on due to the water, but Yasha is strong enough that it doesn’t matter. 

“I win,” Yasha says. 

Beau rolls her eyes, “I let you win.”

“Uh huh.” Yasha kisses Beau gently, tasting of nothing but salt water. “I will let you believe that.”

Beau hums, she enjoys it so much when Yasha teases her. She lives to see the twinkle in her eyes and the self-satisfied smirk on her lips. Yasha smiles so much now, at her, at their children, at her garden, while she’s working out, all the time. Beau will never ever get tired of that smile and she knows she would do anything to keep it.

Beau’s thoughtful musing in her wife’s arms is interrupted by loud giggles and splashing. They look over to see Imdrin and Cricket running through the shallow water towards them, having finished their lunch.

“Mom, throw me!” Cricket demands with a huge grin. 

Yasha sets Beau down into the water with one more kiss. As Yasha launches their daughter into the water, Beau wades over to Imdrin. He’s wearing a swimming costume that Essek recommended, covering his skin to protect it from the sun, but not so thick that he’s stifled in the hot weather.

“Want to race?” Beau challenges. They’ve been trying all day to get Imdrin to be a more confident swimmer and it’s finally starting to work since Imdrin’s face lights up and he nods. “From here to the rocks,” Beau points to the opposite side of the beach.

Imdrin nods, “One, two, three go!” Before Beau is even ready, he dives under the water and quickly starts swimming towards the goal. 

Beau shakes her head and looks at Yasha, shouting, “He’s your son!” Before diving under after Imdrin and trying her best to catch up.
