Just as I said I have made some photo session with my felted Zagreus and Thanatos just because they are cute. What else can I say? Thanatos making progress is in previous post here and I’ve said there all I’ve wanted. I probably should do more group sessions like this for my felted stuff >_>.

With Final Fantasy ones it’s hard because they are not longer with me, but for Bugsnax, Zesty team, Riku and Namine? I might do some photos like that, since I have better phone compare to year ago and outdoor temperature is so nice to do some photos there.

This time it’s the God of life, blood, restructuring, helping couples and all who signed bad pacts and the best deratizer and desatir of the underworld - Zagreus.

So as you can guess I spend a lot time playing Hades and fell in love with it. That’s why no surprise I really wanted to felt some characters from it. I wanted to try a different way of felting chibi characters this time too, more complex when it comes to face and in the end I decided to give him a better hands.

As I mentioned, my first chibis were mostly Pitanui plushes inspired, but since I felted Riku and since I managed to make quite nice face for Mieu, I wanted to try this kind of style.

Zagreus took me a lot time since I tried to figure out what kind of proportions I want him to have, so I spend a lot in making layers, build arms and legs more. His hair (21 cones to felt down with right side and order) and laurel leaves (20 of them) took me quite some time. When I have started this project I was mostly worried about Cerberus skulls but in the end those weren’t so much problem. The worst nightmare was to felt head together with rest of the body, the head ended quite heavy and didn’t want to hold still even after long felting time.

Since I began with the size of ball I used in my previous works, then added cheeks, nose, build up hair, made body to be proportional with such head - Zagreus ended around 17 cm big.

It’s been around year since I started felting. On one of the photos you can see Sorey, my first felted chibi ever made. I just thought it’s nice to see both of them together like this. Surely previous Pitanui style takes faster to do, still I love how detailed is the new one.

Guess what? Of course Thanatos it’s on the way, finally after making two other felting figures which I will post soon. I’ve just started to felt him and probably will take me a while, mostly his clothes details since I kinda finished the head today. Zagreus doesn’t hold that Ambrosia for nothing :P (thought if I could change anything in my Zagreus I would place ambrosia in other hand because there are a lot other details on his right side with red came, skulls and all. Better symmetry it would have been XD ) 

ps. Somehow the official nandroid of Zagreus ended too angry for me and for how we see him in game, that’s why mine has this smile with hint of gentle worry he often shows to those who he cares about.
