What do cicadas do in the bug qorld? One of My favorite insects

cicadas are in the order Hemiptera, the true bugs! so in this world, they aren't bugfolk -- they're truly just bugs, albeit often scaled up a bit.

elba here is with anno, the bug band's pet cicada! he's their best percussion instrument and they love him very much.

most insects cannot hear in real life - the speaking that my bugfolk do is translation of a more body language/pheremone/sign kind of speech. anno is especially useful as an instrument because he produces a loud drone, which can be felt by critters who can't hear more traditionally!
