Hey guys, in case you haven't caught wind of the fuss lately, Patreon has recently updated their policies regarding what is and isn't allowed on Patreon regarding Adult content. This is mainly in response (as it usually is) to pressure from payment processors like Mastercard or Paypal, that does not want to be involved in NSFW content that could be potentially illegal so they'd rather just not want to deal with adult content in general. Because of this, Patreon is becoming more and more strict about what content they allow here. One of the ridiculous changes for example is somehow the people/characters in your work need to be explicitly stating their consent. 

I would hope.... that my characters look like they are heartily giving their consent in all of my work??? Even if they're not like, saying it in obvious speech bubbles or something.

I will be honest, as of right now I'm not sure if any of my content is in violation of it's new policies but many adult content creators such as myself are already worried. I will continue to upload as usual for as long as I am here, and I would hope that all of my patrons who subscribe to my page know exactly what they signed up for and what they want to see. But in just in case, I want to let you guys know that I have made a Subscribestar.Adult page!

It is a subscription based platform for creators much like patreon, but this one is built with adult creators in mind from the start and has been operating for years with a good track record for trust. I am slowly uploading all of my exclusive content over there, but it's been like four years, I have a lot of things to upload! But my hope is that it is backup platform in case I am kicked off of Patreon for some reason. Pricing and tiers will be the same, though as of right now I am not offering merch reward tiers on Subscribestar. This might change in the future once once I get my bearings on there a little better.

AGAIN I will still be uploading content both to patreon and subscribestar.adult/youkaiyume! However, if you would like to support me over on subscribestar or would like to switch, do check out the link! I hope to continue to give you the smut you deserve!

I truly am obsessed with how Knives Out was like. Hello Daniel Craig, man who has spent the past two decades of his career being alternately beaten up and objectified playing an action hero with no personality. Would you like to please put on a shirt and an incomprehensible vaguely Texan accent and flex your character acting dark comedy muscles as well as your pecs for a while. And he's like BOY WOULD I and they made a work of art. Also love that they put Chris Evans in sweaters. Get your beefcakes then dress them nice make them soft and give them some bonkers character work to do it's what cinema needs more of

The Force shimmers and flows around him.  It is the caves of Ilum; frozen and glittering: the lush flowering gardens of the Jedi temple of Coruscant; the rich, fractal mesas of Bogano.  Cal wades through it in the spiral’s outer circle, moving dreamlike through the living air, a soundless music suffusing his consciousness.  Green-golden leaves blanket the path below, and his feet slide over them in gentle silence. The world beyond him falls far and away, here in the first circle of the stone spiral.  His pulse is an ocean in his ears, his breath a tide, his heartbeat a symphony unto itself.  Tears slip, unbidden, from his eyes, dampening his cheeks.  He licks them from the corners of his mouth, wondering at the sharpness of the salt.  When is the last time he’s felt the Force like this, so pure, so powerful? He steps further into the spiral, gliding over the golden leaves like a ghost.  His thoughts are soft ripples in the stream, droplets here and gone, here and gone, his focus singular within the Force.    How has he been surviving all this time without this?  How has he been breathing?

I'd been feeling embarrassed about my little OFMD fics recently, because I don't usually write stuff focused on romantic relationships but I got a little possessed there for a bit...

Anyway with today's news I'm suddenly feeling like I should share them again here, because darn it I wrote Stede and Ed more chances to be together and now fic is the only way we're going to get that.

So for anyone else who's feeling sad and needs an Ed/Stede fix:

Writing a fic ‘late’ in a fandom is OK.

What is ‘late in a fandom’? It’s after the first heady flush of media excitement. Six months after the standalone movie or book comes out, a year or more after the series ends.

We get inspired by late canon: the behind-the-scenes book, the deleted scenes, a revealing creator interview. We get inspired by fanon and meta. We get talking to that one - one! - person who likes our ideas.

Sometimes a fic even needs to be written late in the fandom. After thinking and creative ferment, worldbuilding and character development. ‘Late to the fandom’ is a good time to take risks. To do the dark AU, focus on the minor character from stage left. It’s also a good time to offer up tropetastic fun.

Whatever you do, you will get readers who appreciate that you are writing. Because for every writer considering writing ‘late’ there’s a hundred fandom members wanting some fresh content.

Writing a fic ‘late’ in a fandom is OK.
