As some who suppects themself to have adhd no suprise-

Can we please admit that ADHD is also a spectrum? Some people suffer a lot more from their ADHD. There’s people that manage fairly well, or don’t feel as hindered by it. My brother is barely bothered by it, he just gets really active and does sports. I am constantly impacted by it, and I’m tired of people acting like we’re all the same. We’re not. There are moments where I can’t cook for weeks, where I can’t manage to send an email for work, meanwhile he’s running his own business successfully. Some of us are barely functioning because of our ADHD, and others seem to be thriving because of it. 

So yeah, there’s definitely degrees in it, right?

Basic idea is that when they choose to join pogtopia during the pogtopia vs manberg war Dream kills them. So now they follow Fundy and Niki around and try to collect trinkets for their museum so they can figure out their missing memories.

He also only remembers bad memories

Hi, I’m back with second part of this idea! I recommend that you read the first part if you haven’t already, otherwise you’ll probably won’t understand stuff here.

Okay, so:

When I first wrote this prompt, the first part was basically the whole idea and the ending was that Fundy calls Eret their parent and they forgive him on the spot, and then they both hug each other and everything is okay. If you like this ending, cool! However, for me it felt a bit unrealistic and idealized. Like, this is a recipe for bottling up Eret’s feelings about the whole situation. (Again, only my opinion, you can feel differently and it’s okay!)

So, I explored a bit different ending (still happy, though!).

(Btw I’m not sure if it needs any content warnings, but please tell me if it does and I’ll add it!)

okay so

I had this idea a long time ago (and by a long time I mean two weeks or so) and even posted it on Twitter but only a few people liked it so I ended up forgetting about it

But you all were so nice to me so I started thinking about what else I can show you and remembered this:

Fundy wants to be adopted by Eret only for their resources but gradually grows closer to them

Okay, so the timeline goes like this:

Shortly after Wilbur's death Eret suggests that they adopt Fundy so he can have a legal guardian. Fundy thinks about it for a while. He doesn't really see Eret as a parent figure, doesn't really care about them as he used to before their betrayal. However, they do have a lot of resources which can be useful, and well, the Prince title also adds some weight. So, Fundy accepts the adoption.

There's only one person who knows about his true intentions. It's Phil, and Fundy tells it to him before he has to sign the adoption papers. Phil looks at him sadly:

"Be careful, Fundy, you'll break Eret's heart if they find out."

"I'm sure it'll be fine," he waves Phil's concerns off. "Besides, it's not like they care much about me either."

Except, they actually do.

Fundy discusses his boundaries with Eret after the adoption. He lies that he can't really call them dad/mom/parent right now because he's still recovering from Wilbur's death. He also vetoes excessive physical touch, like hugging. Eret accepts it without fight, which surprises Fundy a little but also cements that idea in his mind that they don't really care. However, he quickly realises he's been wrong. Eret cares, and they show it in their own way, like preparing breakfasts for him or making sure he sleeps enough. They aren't a suffocating presence like Wilbur sometimes was, and when Fundy shows them some of his builds, they say they're proud of him (and they clearly mean it).

So, naturally, Fundy grows closer to them as well. He starts touching them more, hugging them to show his gratitude for their kind words. Eret clearly notices it, too, because they smile much more now whenever he does that. At some point, Fundy just accepts that they have become his parent figure, and he finds that he actually likes thinking about them as his parent. So, one day he walks into a throne room around midday with clear intention to call Eret "Dad".

Except, Eret is not alone in the throne room.

Ghostbur has been eavesdropping on some meetings. The one in particular is Phil and Fundy's where Fundy told Phil about his intentions towards the adoption. I'm completely disregarding canon here so Ghostbur doesn't forget about the adoption. Instead, he saves this information to himself and decides to use it at right moment so Eret and Fundy fall apart and Ghostbur has a chance to bond with his son again. (Yeah I'm sorry he's a bit evil here but also he genuinely believes that he's doing the right thing for everyone)

So, here we are. Fundy is frozen on the doorstep as he sees Ghostbur there, saying something like "He'll never love you, he'll never see you as a parent, I heard it myself". And Eret is just... absolutely broken, their shoulders are slumped and they hide their face in their hands, refusing to look at Ghostbur.

And Fundy just can't take it anymore, so he shouts:

"Stop!"

Both Ghostbur and Eret look at him in surprise; clearly, they haven't heard him entering the throne room. Fundy looks Ghostbur in the eyes and tells him that it's not true and that he needs to leave right now. And Ghostbur is hurt and tries to argue, but eventually surrenders and leaves. And now Fundy has to confront Eret.

... I'm sorry to leave you guys on cliffhanger, but I can't finish this prompt until tomorrow (I have to go on a train because I'm returning to my hometown and I won't have Internet). I promise it'll be happy ending, really promise! As for now, tell me what you think about it!
