Everyone who's like, "why would you pick walrus? Fairies aren't real, dumbass" sounds profoundly boring, and also insufferable.

Like, it's fine if YOUR mind looks at the situation and says "logically, fairies aren't real, so it's impossible for them to knock at my door. Walruses are real, so no matter how unlikely, it's still more likely than Impossible. Therefore, I would find the fairy more surprising." That's a very rational explanation, even if it's not the way most people apparently think about it.

But if you insist that everyone who approaches the question differently must be some kind of childish idiot, then you sound like an unpleasant person.

It's come to my attention that a good portion of the younger generation has not been made aware of one of the greatest and most hated PILLARS of millennial society.

So I apologize, but I must take on this task. A new hand must touch the beacon. The knowledge must be passed on. The chain can not be broken.

The Game.

The following are the rules of The Game:

there is no winning The Game

once you know of The Game, you are always playing the game

the point of The Game is to not think about The Game

if you think about The Game, you have lost The Game, and must announce this to those around you - causing them to also lose The Game

A "reset period" of roughly an hour or two before loss announcements is common in colloquial rules to allow yourself and those around you to properly temporarily "forget" about The Game, however that is not an official rule.

The breadsticks thing to me is hilarious I think it must be another Europe/America thing bc my whole life ‘breadsticks’ have been these hard crunchy thin stick things you buy them at the supermarket and it says breadsticks on the box Never in my life has anyone around me referred to an actual stick of bread as a breadstick lmao But then we don’t have Olive Garden either
