Some flags I made for world building!
'The Valley' & The Lamentari union (blue and yellow flag) is a nation from which I drew more of western cultures, mostly celtic and slav.
The flag itseld depicts the 14 tribes + the 4 divisions— Mithra, Hunic and Lykos and 1 being of reserved for its colonies.
The inspiration for the Azaadi (green flag) a colony of the Lament is loosely based around ancient persian culture.
The flag depicits 'The blind bat' a sacred religous symbol.

So I'm making a visual novel for my CS project for University. It's my final piece, so I hope it turns out well. I hope I get to do everything on time too! Here is a little about it:
Red Blood, Blue Blood is a fictional tale set in the Russian Revolution, more specifically during Stolypins Reforms leading up to Lenin's take over. It's a story about a young adult called Kolya Smirnov who ran away from his remote village in east Russia. He ends up meeting his childhood friend in the capital St Petersburg and there the two join in the army. Next thing you know it's WW1. The game explores themes of the War, Poverty, Abuse, Love, Brotherhood and Friendship.

Please give me some tips on how to write routinely. I've been trying to write for a whole year and failed miserably, I tried so hard to set goals and everything but I still can't make myself to write and finish editing my story.
It's getting so annoying for me now, I really don't know what to do. It's not like I don't like my story, I absolutely love the hell out of it but the editing stage is so daunting for me. I've only done chapter 1 but I think half the chapters in the book need full rewrite. Feel free to share your tips with me below!

My motivation for writing and drawing has literally gone down the drain. I'm really upset about it, but I can't get myself doing stuff.

Made this using a bunch of different stock free images and then meshed them together and painting over some stuff, it’s a technique called matte painting or photo bashing. It’s pretty cool, I’m a real armature though lol. The picture was based off a story that is in the works, the first scene is a family living inside a rundown lighthouse.

A cousin of mine passed away today and this line kind of reminded me what death actually was. I don't even know what to say. I couldn't even stop thinking about it for two days straight. I've honestly lost count on the amount of times I teared up. (Maybe 10?) All I remember is her face, the innocent smile of hers, the good old days of msn, that damned external webcam, the video calls and my childhood. She was too young to go, only two years above myself and essentially orphaning two beautiful young children. I can't be more upset. She lived a sad life and I hated the fact it ended so sudden and so sad. She was too innocent for this world, an angel on earth. Rip. 😢

The quote is from a book called A spell of Winter. Maybe I'll talk about that book in a later post. Maybe I should do book reviews here too.

My book characters if they were assassins (kind of) , except for Veera, I based her off Sofia and Christina from Assassins creed.

“We arranged our ‘Goodbye day’ on a Friday afternoon. I checked the weather before then for any reporting of rain. 7:30pm on a hot summer’s day, the setting sun melted our faces with gorgeous heat. Catherine and I laid on our backs on the grass at a corner next to our shed. This was our corner, always has been and always will. Knowing my sibling’s nosiness, we picked a spot that was invisible from the view at the house for a little privacy. It was a train wreck of a goodbye. My hands clung onto her waist as a mother would to her child when they’re ill, I had never been so heartbroken in my life. I couldn’t stop the hugs and kisses and before I knew it, I broke down in tears and dashed into the house. I had never been so angered either, this was someone I had created, one could say a figment of my own imagination.  She lived for the sake of a lonely seven-year-old, imaginative but naive and nothing else. Had my life become so empty that no other option was available for me but to believe in the unbelievable? Perhaps it was just that.”      - Ehsaan Hamid (Chapter 1)

Ever had an imaginary friend? I had a few when I was younger, I guess it was the inspiration for this piece.

Haven’t drawn in forever! I’m proud of this one solely because of the flowers and the dress, I don’t know how I did it but I did it lol, it was out of randomness I guess haha. I was about to draw something different but since it is international womens day I figured why not.
This is a picture of a deaf character in my story called Omid. In book 1 she’s a child (around 5) but yeah I can’t draw kids. Both her parents are estranged but she lives with her grandparents Haidar and Asheerah in their family bakery. She becomes particularly close with Ehsaan and her brother Emile by the end due to her innocent and kind nature.

The way the writer of this post phrases it is a little touchy. I know not all 'white' people are the same, western europe is so different to eastern europe and so different to people in the caucus and so different to americans. People who grew up in diverse areas will find it naturally easy to integrate people because that's just how they're brought up no matter what colour.
But I do agree with americans not adding more of a range of cultures. As a British person myself, looking from an outside angle I do tend to see just mexican or indian(India) or native american. I'm from London, born and brought up and still live there. It's as diverse as you can get and in my neighbourhood flat/(or apartment) alone there's polish, russian, finnish, somali, ugandan, latvian, indian, pakistani and a lot of bengali people from bangladesh (which I am one of them).
And as a side note, people tend to be proud of the city that there from too. Like a quick example my parents are from this region in Bangladesh called Sylhet and theres like a rivalry between that region and the capital Dhaka lol. It's all for banter but I know a lot of countries where theres rivalry between north and south, between major cities, (England) etc. So while writing feel free to add that in there.
Tumblr users are often so arrogant and it shows. They can draw a full cast of POC characters but when POC say "Hey we want more than just our skin tone" they're suddenly deaf as shit.
Representation on Tumblr has become a way for white people to win brownie points just because they took a Hershey's bar and slapped it onto a person's skin tone.
The most disgusting thing is that they insist on making JUST African-Americans. They insist on making JUST one facial type, one nose type, one lip type, one hair type, one slang type, one skin tone.
And when they make a person Asian, it's Japanese. And when they make a person Hispanic, it's Mexican. And when they make a person indigenous, they never specify on which tribe/nation they came from, but you'll bet they're Native AMERICAN.
But my favorite part is when other POC demand representation and those same fucking white people are like "But but but look at all my black characters!!!!"
POC isn't just confined to America.
POC isn't just black.
POC isn't just Japanese.
POC isn't just Mexican.
POC isn't just Native American.
It's from the Miskitu in Nicaragua, from the highlands of Ethiopia, from the deserts of Saudi Arabia, from the mountains of Indonesia. It's from the arroz con gandules, from the folk music, from the festivals. It's many cultures blending, it's speaking more than just English, it's dealing with racism unique to our countries of origin.
It's more than just one universal experience, and white Tumblr isn't willing to show that.
