Fic recs for the soul: dsmp masterpost

This is an ongoing post that will be updated with new fics when I read them!

The Witch's Watcher: Ranboo, a kid who got kicked out of his school after an incident, moves to a small fishing town on a harbor. There, he meets Tommy, Tubbo, and Tommy's family (his occultist and shop-owner uncle Phil, his odd maybe-related man Techno, and his older cousin Wilbur, a cashier at the local grocery). After hearing about the mystery of the Wail, strange things start (or continue) to happen. Set in the 80's, magic with a hint of eldritch horror.

Fic status: complete, potential epilogue oncoming.

Pairings: Dreamnotfound, technically, and not the focus (kinda)

Rating: 10/10, phenomenal fic

Notes: depicts hallucinations (specifically noted by the author to not be a disorder). A wonderful and interesting story with very interesting family dynamics. Always recommend.

This Time It's A Tweet Cute: A cute twitter au where George is the twitter description man and Dream is...Dream. Parasocial one-sided enemies to mutual lovers.

Rating: 8/10 very funny, disaster men, not a 10 though

Notes: Understandably, this may or may not make people uncomfortable because I guess it's rpf? It doesn't feel like it but I guess I just lived through too many dan and phil stans for it to affect me.

Passerine: Classic fic, if you haven't heard of it yet, you must be new here. Immortal Technoblade comes across the kingdom of an old friend, who begs him to help his son, Wilbur. Sleepy bois as family except Pilza won't stop rUNNING AWAY feat. The samsung smart fridge as Tommy and Wilbur's mom. Heavy angst.

Fic status: complete, unfortunately

Notes: If you don't want to be sad don't read this. It hurts. I had to joke in the summary because otherwise I would cry.

Whatever Remains, However Improbable: A fun little sherlock and watson style fic except it's not fun or little. Tommy comes back from...something, I guess, and Wilbur tells him to run. Framed for the murder of one Alex Quackity, they have to rush to prove their innocence and uncover the real killer. Unfortunately they're being pursued by a crack team of police, Phil Minecraft, Techno Blade, Ranboo, and Niki.

Notes: Honestly I just think this one is just really cool. I like the idea of Wilbur and Tommy being detectives.

Tommyinnit's Unbeatable Method of Avoiding Sudden Death: Another classic, tumoasd is a fun crack fic for everyone. Tommy, a young vigilante with a goldfish in a sprite bottle and a roommate who loves to throw him out windows meets superheroes Wilbur, Phil, and Techno. They adopt him, as well as his roommate Tubbo and Tubbo's friend Ranboo (who like spaghetti a horrifying amount).

Fic status: Complete

Rating: 10/10 this destroyed me emotionally

Notes: This fic does contain elements of derealization and also the ending is horrifically angsty. Please don't read this if you don't like angst, it's really devastating.
