i'm never a priority
i'm never someone's reason for waking up
the giver, never the taker
never the taker, always the asker
i ask for time
i ask for patience
i ask for comfort
i'm never a priority
never the taker
never the reason

My brain will just create new WIPs against my will, it’ll just start going, I have no say in which one I work on, in fact, WIP actually stands for Writer in Peril, help

Hello Mr. Gaiman! I wanted to share here my appreciation for how nice your books look in Poland, I can never get enough of them. I'm not sure how much authors are aware of covers for their books in other countries, so I wanted to ask if you had any input in designing other covers? Did you put out any overall guidelines for foreign publishers to work with, or is it fully up to them to come up with the covers? (I'll add a photo of the books, because wow, just look at them)

It's up to them. And the Poles do magic.

Sorry it’s early but you really can’t use fanfiction terms in a non fanfiction context like if someone is trying to sell me a book to read and they tell me there’s an enemy to lovers I would be annoyed because why are you spoiling the story lol

Hi, Neil - I'm reading How Much for Just the Planet by John M. Ford for the first time. In looking up background information about the author, I noticed a reference to you on the Wiki page about the novel. Writers appearing as characters, Ilen the Magian: Neil Gaiman. (Diane Duane is included as Princess DeeDee.) How did that happen? What's the story behind it all? I've never read any John M. Ford books before. So far, I'm a quarter of the way through it, and he reminds me very much of Douglas Adams. I can't wait to see what Ilen the Magian is doing in a Star Trek novel!
He gets the best song. I've written about my friendship with Mike Ford a couple of times. Once is reprinted in The View From the Cheap Seats, and once in the introduction to his posthumous and unfinished novel, Aspects.

idk who needs to hear this but when your english teacher asks you to explain why an author chose to use a specific metaphor or literary device, it’s not because you won’t be able to function in real-world society without the essential knowledge of gatsby’s green light or whatever, it’s because that process develops your abilities to parse a text for meaning and fill in gaps in information by yourself, and if you’re wondering what happens when you DON’T develop an adult level of reading comprehension, look no further than the dizzying array of examples right here on tumblr dot com

I’m jumping on the Emily Wilde bandwagon- I’ve seen too many people say they really liked this book so I MUST know what all the hype is about.
