The Etho Keyboard Saga

Welcome to ~Etho's Cursed Tech Setup Timeloop~: a retrospective on his beloved keyboard(s?) over the years (clip compilation here). Truly, no one is doing it like him <3

Oct 2013: He talks about how his D-key recently broke, but that's okay because he's remapped it to his F-key! (very clever solution, Etho) (Link: Mindcrack Season 4 - Etho's Ep 129 at 13:05 mins)

Nov 2013: Yes, his D-key is still broken, but he's had this keyboard for over 10 years and doesn't want to switch. It's a BenQ, not sure they even make it anymore (that makes this a circa 2003 keyboard) (Link: LP Ep 304 at 9:45 mins)

Nov 2013: While playing Terraria with Zisteau, he asks Etho if his keyboard is still being wonky. Etho says no, the keyboard is fine, it's just his D-key that doesn't spring back. But it's actually a good thing because now it's ultra-sensitive (Link: Etho's Terraria 1.2 Ep 25 at 15:40 mins)

Mar 2014: Complains about his W-key not working, and at the end of the episode, admits that he's probably going to need to get a new keyboard (Link: Simulation Protocol Ep 13 at 8:55 mins, plus more at the end)

Dec 2023: While playing Vault Hunters with Iskall, Etho admits to Iskall that his spacebar isn't working, and that his keyboard is 20 years old and he's very attached to it (omg, he really has been using the BenQ this whole time?? Dec 2023: Iskall ribs Etho for his old and broken keyboard, but Etho is adamant that the keyboard is FINE (Link: Vodskall85 More Chaos, More Etho at 24:10 mins)

Feb 2024: During Scar's stream, Cleo, Scar, Bdubs, and Ren interrogate Etho about his keyboard. But the keyboard is FINE, he's learned to adjust to the broken spacebar just fine. In fact, it's better even because the space bar is so sensitive now. Just found out there are actual people coming onto False's lastest video and making absolutely horrendous comments because she won Demise. Please just straight up say that you guys were too biased for your blorbos to win and cannot take the idea that a female creator who's not in the Life series took attention away from your little guys 🙄

False won fair and square, and she won the exact same way that Iskall won in in HC6 Demise: with the help of a friend. Grian rigged a trap to kill DocM77 because Iskall was his ally. Ren trapped BDubs and killed him because False was his ally. She was careful and paranoid in equal amounts as Bdubs and xB until the very end. Bdubs was literally bribing other Reapers they wouldn't kill him, and xB was keeping a keen eye on everything going on in his base. None of them logged out inside their own bases, and I'm sure none of them used the same bed twice.

If you're one of those people who went to False and Ren to complain about their videos being "scripted" and they're "cheating", or that False was being mean and bullying Ren, you shouldn't be watching Hermitcraft. Because for all the focus on "friendship" that you have on them, you sure as hell don't give the Hermits equal amounts of respect. These people have been friends with each other for years. You cannot make assumptions just because they were messing around on edited videos.

Everyone else, please go check False and Ren's latest videos and give them plenty support and good faithed comments! It sucks that they had to deal with awful people even though everyone was having fun and playing fair.
