Oh hey I never posted this but have another page of Demon Slayer OC shenanigans! Now with 200% more trauma!

In Izumi’s Final Selection, he ends up teaming up with an older teen named Nagi, who was one of Urokodaki’s Water Breathing students. Unfortunately, that sets Nagi’s fate in stone. Izumi only survives this encounter thanks to unlocking what he calls his Empty State — a unique equivalent of the Selfless State that relies on fully absorbing oneself in the feeling and mind-state of being already dead (NOT mentally healthy to do).

I had a lot of fun with this page! Nagi is an OC I’ve gotten very fond of, despite how he exists literally just to die. Fun fact, though I came up with his character before using any references, parts of his visual design are based on this unnamed character.

Izumi later has his broken mask mended and re-painted, and keeps it with him. Some designs!

Hi! It’s me again! Back at it with random sketches! This time some fake pokémon brainstorming for the Greece-based region my character Star is sort-of from.

Full disclaimer I am not an experienced fakemon creator so these are mostly just some initial concept sketches.

Pic 1: Olve, the olive bird pokémon. The Helles region’s grass starter. And yes, I had this idea solidly before we learned anything about Smoliv, and I am still a little miffed. Olives felt like such a good concept to use for a Greece region! The story of Athena winning Athens with an olive tree! Anyways, this line’s supposed to play with the concept of the dove and the olive branch as well.

Pic 2: Yet-unnamed fire starter, evolves into a big red bull. I like the (debunked) theory of fire starters all being tied to the chinese zodiac, and as someone who was born in the year of the fire ox, this really felt like the Only Reasonable Choice.

(Not pictured here, but the water starter line is based on the story of Dionysus turning pirates into dolphins. They’re water/psychic)

Pics 3-4: The Route 1 bird, the normal-type Aman. Yes, it is a pun on that one story about Diogenes and the plucked chicken. It evolves into a flying/fighting type based on the eagle that eats Prometheus’ liver.

Pics 5-6: Krinocopia, the Helles region’s equivalent of Chansey. It’s a fairy/grass type based on both the Cretan Ibex/Kri-Kri, and also the goat Amalthea who in myth nursed the baby Zeus while he was kept hidden from Kronos. The first stage of the evolution is called Amalbex. I’m still figuring out how to make it more distinct from other similar ungulate pokémon designs.

(Obviously I need to work more at converting the designs to a proper pokémon style lmao)

Fuck it, separate post, more Esmer & the Pretty Boy shenanigans

1-3: Various friendship shenanigans, including a part of my actual playthrough where I went shiny-hunting and caught a shiny cetoddle in the middle of the night.

4-7: Esmer misses skating, so Grusha freezes the battle arena to use as a rink. Lessons, hijinks, and emotions ensue (because Esmer accidentally skates off the edge)

8-10: There is some teasing during canon era, but no actual relationship until post-canon when Esmer’s around 18-19. They’re still good friends throughout though!

He is a big transmasc dork who ends up befriending Grusha because I Have A Favorite Character and also bc I think it’s cute. He’s originally from Helles, my greece-based fanregion, and actually ends up becoming an ice/flying gym trainer there post-SV!

In the AU where these characters exist, I imagine they intersect with team 14th during the search for the Campbell manor — I’ve been imagining (and possibly writing) it as they intervene to help with an akuma attack.

Naturally, this raises a lot of questions, since both of them disappeared from the Order about four years prior and were presumed dead.

Some context for these particular sketches:

Nikos was a CROW prior to being discovered as an accommodator when he was about 19. Naturally, he had a bit of a Reputation

They both knew lots of folks at the European Branch. Shai was quite fond of Johnny, since it was his knowledge of garment construction that helped design their gender-affirming corsetry (Listen this is my AU I get to play in the sandbox)

Shai is mute due to damage to their recurrent laryngeal nerves on both sides. By canon era, they speak fluent British Sign Language, and their golem has been programmed to translate

Shai is non-binary. I don’t care if that isn’t the word used for it in the setting/era, it is just important to me to be very clear on this point

At least one of those sketches was solely an excuse to figure out Link’s current outfit, because I think it’s neat ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is the OC of my first Pokémon Sword playthrough, Emrys Morgenstern! He’s a short king who never really wanted to be a trainer or champion, but went along with it in order to be close with and important to the people he cared about!

In his own universe, he’s the protag. In Star’s universe, he’s just another kid from Postwick who ended up dropping from the gym challenge at Hammerlocke.

In his champion universe, between winning the title and starting the postgame content, he very heavily considered drowning himself in the lake where the legendary dogs slept. (Obviously these sketches are not game-canon but I don’t care)

Also the non-canon kid in the last two sketches is Emrys, my first SwSh playthrough protag. In this universe, he doesn’t actually make it to Wyndon, but ends up working at the Hammerlocke Vault (Atheri, for context, works in Hammerlocke as well).

A couple characters for a story idea based on a dream I had, loosely titled ‘Beast’. Long story short, modern world but there’s magic, meteor hits, people start mutating, dialogue on identity and control and whatever.

I feel like sometimes all I can really come up with are the themes and characters and feelings. Never the story itself. Its a bit of a curse.
