First of all: CLAIMING is a first come, first serve process.

Also very important: THIS IS AN ANONYMOUSLY POSTING FEST, so we ask you not to divulge the prompt you are claiming.

The information we ask is:

Your name or alias & pronouns;

An e-mail account for contact (we will send a confirmation that we have received your claiming through this address);

Your Discord ID, so we can have another way of contacting you during the fest. This isn’t mandatory, but appreciated. When you sign up, you also receive a link to our fest’s Discord server (restricted to creators), where you can discuss your art piece/fic, look for a beta reader, or just share your creating process.

Your AO3 account (you must use an AO3 account to enter the fest because the works will all be posted to a collection on the site. If you do not have an AO3 account, let us know on the “anything else” section of the form);

The number of the prompt you are claiming, or a brief description of your Self Prompt, if that’s the case. There are more instructions on the form.

What pairing do you intend to use on your prompt (if any);

“And?” Molly Weasley’s cheeks were flushed from her third Paulopabita’s Fishy Green Ale. Charlie Weasley, the renowned dragonologist in question, rubbed the tips of his fingers along the rough paper label of his own bottle. He looked around the Burrow at his siblings and friends, but no one was paying enough attention to this unremarkable corner of the room to see that he needed an assist..

“You already have two lovely granddaughters,” he hedged. “One is literally named after you!”

“So?” She said. Charlie’s brow furrowed. When he didn’t answer his mother, she repeated herself. Louder. As if he wasn’t answering because the radio tunes and surrounding chatter were just too loud.

“So!?”

Are you fucking kidding me!? Charlie replied in his head (and unfortunately in his eyes, which he knew because he recognized the microscopic downturn of his mother’s mouth). He took a breath to steady himself.

“So,” Charlie said, meeting her eye. “You don’t need me for grandchildren.”

“That is not the point. That has never been the point, Charles Fabian Weasley,” Molly  said. Then she downed the last of her Fishy Green Ale. Her second eldest  gaped, but he quickly found his voice.

Honestly petition to respond to the most recent round of hate from JKR by coming together as a community to create art, fic, moodboards, headcanons, and anything else about trans characters within the Harry Potter universe. Spread it on!

I recently helped out with @hptransfest​ which works are on AO3 here if you’re interested!

Unfortunately I fear that statements like these from her will be frequent enough that we as a fan community won’t be able to coherently respond to each of them, but I certainly always encourage creation of trans fanworks, whether motivated by spite or not. Feel free to tag me in such works and I will reblog them!

At the end of the day, though... Fuck her. She’s a lost cause. Love yourself and your comrades, don’t spend time on that hateful bigot. Our love and care for each other is more important than her. We will prevail through love and solidarity and she will slip into history as a creator who thoroughly ruined her own reputation years after she stopped being relevant.

Something as big as HP doesn’t just belong to its author, it belongs to wider culture. It bears the greasy stains of her racism, anti-semitism, homophobia and even to some extent her transphobia, but it can be something better in our hands than it could be in hers.

Fuck her. Forget her. She’s not worth our time.

You know that wholesome trope in shows where one partner is proposing to the other but they get so overwhelmed with emotion that the other partner also kneels and they propose to each other through happy tears and broken sentences? Totally (bi) Ron and (bi) Hermione.

Okay but listen. Listen.

Ron goes out for drinks after work with Harry and George, and after a few glasses of red currant rum Ron blurts out that he’s planning to propose. Harry’s eyes go wide when he says it, but he reigns it in before buzzed Ron notices. George sees it though. When Ron goes to the bar for the next round, George rounds on Harry. “What’s up, mate?” Quickly Harry tells him that when he and Hermione were out with some Ministry coworkers she also said she was planning to propose. George breaks into a huge grin but shushes him as Ron returns. George waggles his eyebrows in a we’ll talk about this later type way as they take their refilled glasses.

When they do talk about it later of course Ginny overhears and wants in. She’s the one who hatches the scheme to have Ron and Hermione pick the perfect times to propose... that just happen to be the exact same time. In the end it takes several favors from Ginny’s Chudley Cannons friends, a line of experimental Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes products, entry to the Perenelle Flamel Magical Reserve, and getting Percy to keep Hermione tied up at the office and off their trail, but it’s absolutely worth it. The co-conspirators show the video of the proposal at Ron and Hermione’s wedding reception. (Ron leans over to kiss his wife’s jaw and to conveniently hide his reddened face in her hair.) They laugh and love along with everyone else in the room, embarrassed but so very happy.
