⇢ you are both very extroverted. sure, opposites attract, but the same can be said for people who have similar personalities too!

The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion is getting an anime, and it has a game on Steam. It's got lots of nice yandere moments, and it's very popular, because it's funny and sweet. I will 100% be reviewing the anime when it releases.

14 Days With You (Visual Novel)

The artworks and UI in this is absolutely gorgeous, first of all, and the yandere himself is kind of cute, while still having the sort of creeping feeling that yanderes tend to have. It's still in demo stages, so instead of 14 days, its currently just one, but we have some previews of other characters that may show up. The creator has a tumblr here (though it hasn't really been updated), @14dayswithyou, so hopefully there will be more updates. Be warned, this is an r18 game, though you can skip the sex scene if you want to.

The story starts out with a news report of a bunch of murders around the MC's area. The MC seems concerned but has to go to work at the book store. They note that they've been losing things as of late, chats with their online friend, Moth and decides on an outfit to wear. Upon leaving their apartment, they meet their strange neighbor Violet taking her plants on a walk. She notes that someone had gone into the MC's apartment, and the MC seems worried as they didn't invite anyone, mentally noting that they will buy a new lock when they come home. They reach the bookstore and greet their coworker, Elanor, who tells the MC that their "crush" is waiting for them in one of the book aisles. Upon going there, we meet a pink haired boy in a sweater, who asks about a specific books and tries to strike up a conversation. The MC mentions to Ren (or that's the name we can actually understand) that someone had broken into their house and Ren offers to come over and help protect it. The MC can either accept his offer or reject it leading to two different paths.

If the MC accepts it, Ren will come over to guard the house. We bump into Violet again and Ren seems very visibly annoyed that we're talking to her. Afterwards, Ren and the MC can watch a horror movie together or simply talk about things like why Ren dyed his hair pink. Afterwards, the MC tries to pull out the inflatable mattress only to find out that rats had caused holes in it. The MC can offer a couple of different locations to sleep, and if you allow him to sleep in your bed, then you have the option to have sex with him. Either way, he says he'll stay up to make sure that nobody comes in.

If the MC rejects it, Ren will leave his phone number for them to take. Upon going home, the MC gets a quick call from Moth talking about Ren (and how submissive and breedable he is lmao) before the MC goes to bed. There they can decide to either call, text or delete his number. If the MC decides to call or text him, Ren will ask them on a date which they can either agree to or not. If the MC decides to delete his number or otherwise reject his call, we get a bad ending, with specifically rejecting his call resulting in him warning us not to leave the windows open. The MC is a bit weirded out that he knows this, but thinks that because Violet is walking around, they should be safe, despite realizing that Violet is suddenly quiet. Interestingly, the "bad ending" is Ren telling the player that he will not allow a bad ending with us, and then a jump scare.

As I've said before, the artwork and the UI of this game is really gorgeous, with the UI being reminiscent of a pink styled error message that you'd get on computers. All the characters have a bit of a quirk to them which makes them more memorable, and I especially thought our neighbor, Violet was pretty cute, considering she takes her plants on walks.

Ren as a yandere is pretty cute initially. Like the MC notes, he flips between being shy and being confident, almost as if he's trying out two different roles. I'm not sure if this will be a feature later where you can influence which role he ends up using more, or if it's something related to his glitchy games. It could just also be that he's trying to be more confident, but a lot of the actions leave the MC more embarrassed. Most of the yandere actions are implied, such as the beginning act of a bunch of murders happening (which, I mean, I wonder who could have done that, Ren do you know?) slip of the tongues (I'm always here looking for you- your book recommendations!) or things that he probably shouldn't know that he shrugs off or even small mutterings when it comes to the clothes you choose (for instance, choosing comfy clothes will elicit a positive response from him) and him being annoyed/jealous when the other two female characters attempt to talk to interrupt.

The two traits I find the most interesting are related to his appearance and his bad ending. When first meeting him in game, the MC notes that his appearance is really similar to one of the webtoons she's currently reading, as well as the general scenario (seeing him in a library). If you invite him into your house, there is an option to talk to him about it, though he does note that he didn't dye his hair because he liked the character, but for other reasons (namely, you). I initially thought that Ren was actually Moth, the friend that the MC talks to on the phone, but considering their personalities and the fact that he has a character profile in the itchio page, he probably isn't related. Still, this does add up considering that Ren has been sneaking into the MC's place (as noted by the items being moved around and Violet's mention of someone coming over when the MC didn't invite anyone). This does mean that Ren is changing his appearance to match the MC's taste and based on some artwork on the creator's twitter, I do think that it's possible that certain choices will, change Ren's appearance or even personality, as said with the outfit selection in the beginning. That's just me theorizing though, that would probably be a lot of hard work on the creator's side to do something like that, haha. The second one is the bad ending, or basically any component that has some sort of glitching to it. You can see it when the MC asks for Ren's real name, which is glitched out (and causes the MC to react in a stunned manner) as well as when the MC lies and attempts to end the conversation (to which he is NOT happy about it). In the bad ending, I think it's interesting that Ren doesn't allow the player to have a bad ending even proceeding the jump scare. It's kind of nice trying to see that Ren is trying to protect the MC from... well himself, I presume.

As this is currently a demo, we are so far left in mystery on what is going to happen with the rest of the story, but I do like the premise of it so far. There seem to be more characters involved including Moth and two others, so I'm excited to see where this demo will go.

FANDOM CREDITS > Twisted Wonderland is a Disney Japan X ANIPLEX Game in collaboration with Yana Toboso. It is only released on the Japanese market at the moment and a manga series has started, as well as an anime series coming soon.

FANDOM LORE & GAMEPLAY > The player has been isekai'ed to the magical world of Twisted Wonderland, in the premises of Night Raven College who follows the teachings of the Great Seven (legendary Villains from Disney stories). It involves 22 Students in 7 Dorms (+ staff characters + family characters) and the gameplay focuses on a Main Story animated like a Visual Novel, and Character Cards to collect and level up. There are also a system of turn-by-turn fighting during the Story & musical rhythmics accessible during the Story and Archive. Events are regularly held with Event Stories and Event Cards.
