MHA and the Midnight City Drive Experience

I got a new a month or so ago after years of saving. I live in a city, so it’s literally a nightmare to drive, but it’s also so fun 😭😭 Just because it’s fun to play whatever the fuck you want and sing on your way to do literally anything. Anyway, last night when I was dropping a friend off at her place I thought of this

Bakugo

Last fucking person you would want to be in the car with for a relaxing late night drive cause it’s a) past his bed time and b) he has extreme road rage.

And no matter how loud you play the music his bellowing insults WILL make it to the intended driver or pedestrian

You have been tailed by pissed off drivers after Bakugo insulted them multiple times

Either he: Clutches the steering wheel so tight you think it will burst or he barely touches it and leans back in the seat like he isn’t even driving

His playlist (AND HE DEMANDS THE FUCKING AUX 😭) is literally one of two options: white boy rap playlists or screamo music, no in-between and no room for debate. Also, he sings along with a serious face the whole time and like mid lyric he rolls the window down to scream at someone.

All in all, though his road rage is crazy, he is one of the best drivers alive… like his turns are so smooth and he never tries to rush through a yellow light, zero nerves at busy intersections and can pass streetcars or busses with ease

And he has a nice ass car

Izuku

Such a fun person to drive with, one of the best

Stops at a drive thru right after he picks you up and grabs ice cream or snacks for both of you to munch on during the ride

Plays music, but it’s more like the kind you drown out and talk over (he listens to Strawberry Guy 100% and that’s what he’s playing in the background in low volume)

willing to share the AUX

Has a favourite route that he takes on every drive, only sometimes changes up the scenery, but it’s a good drive anyway and it passes the bustling areas and parks on Saturday nights

Shit box for a car, but it adds to the vibe

Not the best driver, however he’s also not the worst like he tries his best, but absolutely shits himself when he has to turn at a busy intersection or if he has to parallel park. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, shit, fuck.. I’m okay.. no fuck, shit.. okay it’s fine I’m okay..”

Takes being honked at or given the middle finger extremely personally and honestly lowkey tears up

Stiff driver at the beginning of the ride but at the end he relaxes.

Sings along to all the songs when the conversation dies down.

Drives with Shinsou are fun in a depressed Tumblr 2014 girl vibe

Arctic Monkeys, The Neighbourhood, Lorde (Pure Heroin), The 1975 and Lana Del Rey…

willing to share the AUX, but is super judgy about what you play. It must adhere to the theme he already set. (Only exception is mitski)

Mix of talking and singing

He has a sleek black car that’s not expensive, but also not cheap, it’s well kept and a smooth ride. Doesn’t buy snacks, prefers drinks like slushies or milkshakes.

Not a bad driver at all, but sometimes he can get distracted or ‘accidentally’ drive too fast

Likes driving around the harbour / by the waterfront. Will often find a spot to park at to watch the boats bob up and down in the port.

Full moons = driving out of the city and speeding down country roads jokingly trying to chase the moon (just wants to entice you into speeding around tbh)

What program are you in now?

So I was in Life Sciences and then second year I was supposed to apply for the Psychology program. That was one of the biggest fucking mistakes of my life lmfao because homie rlly thought I was gonna go through Chemistry Physics and Maths at this hard ass uni and still get a decent enough GPA to apply for my specialized program in second year.

I’m in Political Science now! So I’m behind a bit in terms of all the other people my age because I’ll be doing first year again essentially, BUT I’m much happier with this tbh. I know that next year I’ll have a better chance at the program I want and I won’t be crying all the time lol
