Kaminari has a particularly rough day where everyone calls him stupid and he feels bad about it and shinsou notices and relates so hard bc of his past and they bond in the pain of feeling excluded for simething they really can't control and know they hv each others back

Comforting each other abt it even if kami doesn't rly know what to say n shinsou is a bit blunt they both try so hard bc they care

"You fucking idiot. Stop being stupid, just do the fucking work." It's not the first time today that Kaminari has been told that hes stupid and an idiot. It's not even the first time within the hour. Maybe he's exaggerating, but it feels like it's coming at him every second. He's trying though, that's what makes it hurt this badly. He is trying to do the work he was given in class, but it was a bad attention day and he doesn't know what happened in class. 

He leaves Kirishima’s room under the guise of going to the bathroom, but honestly, he has no intention of going back. It hurts too much to handle Bakugou's constant berating. 

He does go to the bathroom, not for regular use though. Instead of regular use, he hides behind one of the shower curtains and curls in on himself. He muffles the pathetic cries that start to leave his mouth. Of all the things to have a panic attack about, this should be one of the last ones. 

Kaminari is too focused on trying not to actually start panicking, he doesn't hear the door open with rushed, light footsteps following. He doesn't see them pause in front of the shower he's hidden in. He's too panicked about panicking that he doesn't even recognize the curtains have been pulled open until there are a pair of hands on his shoulders and tired purple eyes focused on his own. 

His lungs stop for a moment, halting in the closeness that the new 1A student is showing. It's only when Shinsou backs away slowly that Kaminari lets the carbon dioxide out of his lungs. Neither of them have stopped staring, yellow sinking into purple. It's tense in a weird way. It's a tense that normally would have Kaminari trying to crack jokes about shocking it out if them… but he can't seem to force a joke out. Can't force a laugh that would've sounded too fake to begin with. 

Shinsou sits next to him, the intimidating and deep purple finally leaving the dulled yellow. He's quiet and surprisingly Kaminari is okay with this quiet. It's not filled with the nervous energy that usually comes boundless from Kaminari. It's not filled with the useless chatter he uses to fill the silence. 

It's a comfortable silence for a change. 

That is until one of them decides to break it with a little clearing of the throat before a soft, deep voice fills the air with a curious statement. "I used to get bullied for having a villain's quirk."

It gets Kaminari’s attention and he's turning to listen and watch the other boy. Shinsou just keeps staring forward, not looking at him yet. 

"I know it's not what you're dealing with right now. but your difficulties in classes, much like the quirk I have, is out of your control for the most part. You can't change the fact that you struggle in the same way that I can't control the fact I have this quirk." Shinsou finally looks at Kaminari and their eyes meet again. There is a shock that feels stronger than any electrical current Kaminari has felt. 

He loses his breath again and stares wide eyed at Shinsou. The genuine expression that is spread over Shinsou’s face takes Kaminari back the most. He sighs and leans his head on Shinsou’s shoulder. He can feel Shinsou tense a bit before he relaxes. 

"Society fucked us over, didn't it?" It's soft and quiet  when Kaminari says it. He feels Shinsou nod, and then he feels the gentle vibrations of him speaking. 

"It really did, but look at us. Becoming heroes despite it. You're not stupid, I'm not a villain." They stay quiet after that, vibing in each other's spaces. 

Eventually, someone comes into the bathroom and with Kaminari’s luck, it's Kirishima. He sighs and gets up, offering a hand out to Shinsou. He helps him up, looking up at him. "So… um." Shinsou smiles softly before ruffling Kaminari’s hair.

"Talk with your friends. Then be ready to go. We are gonna go out." He leaves, passing by Kirishima, who is looking at Kaminari with a look. 

Kirishima waits until Shinsou leaves before going to Kaminari, looking confused. "What was that? Did Shinsou just tell you that you're going on a date?" Kaminari just nods, still looking at the door with a slightly lost look on his face. "Shit bro, what kind of bonding did you guys do in here?"

"Both of us are bullied." Kaminari turns to the mirror and tries to fix his hair. "He came in while I was panicking over being called stupid and dumb too many times today. He gets called a villain for his quirk." He sighed softly and went to the door. He knew that Kirishima was following him. "I think I'm done studying for today." 

"I don't blame you. I don't think i would even be capable of thinking if my crush told me we were going on a date." Kirishima sounded sad for a second before perking up. "Way to go, bro! Have fun!"

He went toward his room again while Kaminari went to the elevator to go to his own room. He was hyped and looking forward to this date.

This is so funny omfg I love this idea. Denki would so do this you can’t convince me otherwise.

I'm just imagining:

Aizawa, getting up in the middle of the night for a glass of water

Denki, in the kitchen, drinking eggnog out of the container after spending the night with shinsou: "I'm not even here, im a hallucination." And then he just sets the container down and walks away.

Denki doesn't even leave the house, he just goes back to Shinsou's room. Aizawa's just mad that Denki didn't put the egg nog back in the fridge. He gets up Hizashi up early and they cook breakfast before barging into Shinsou's room to invite Denki to stay for breakfast. Shinsou is mortified. Hizashi cannot stop laughing.
