Sexy Trespasser Newt is now canon to me, either this would be one of those off-the-rack “sexy” Halloween costumes that you can buy OR he took painstaking hours to make this for himself but either way, he is *trespassing* on Hermann’s peace of mind, because the poor guy is NOT going to be able to get this image of Newt in fishnets, booty shorts and a crop top out of his brain anytime soon! I’d like to think that every year Newt comes as a different sexy kaiju.

I love that Tendo is rhinestone-y Vegas Elvis, it’s so perfect for him. Also, this is officially my favorite drawing of Max ever! LOOK AT HE!!! He’s so cute!!!

But Hermann is the ultimate. Reluctant bat Hermann who channels this meme is just everything to me 🦇

LOOK AT THESE DAPPER HUSBANDS, THESE FANCY BOYS!!! I am absolutely in love with this picture, they look so, so good and clean up SO nicely!

I love that they are not just in standard tuxes, they are both bringing their own style to their looks. But you can also see the other’s fashion influence in both of their outfits! You just know that Newt was the one who convinced Hermann to rock a bow tie and a nice checked suit (“Dude, it’s such a classic look, you’ll totally pull it off!”) and was definitely the one to insist on having it tailored to actually fit properly.

And Newt is doing his classic geek chic rockabilly look, but with a little more polish with the vest, un-skinny tie and nicer leather jacket that has Hermann written all over it (“Newton, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; 3.5 inches is the standard width for a tie!”)

And the look of fondness between them is so evident, I don’t know how you do that, but WOW their expressions are just overflowing with so much affection and softness! It is melting my heart! Thank you so much for answering my ask!

Would love to request Newt and Hermann dressed to impress in formalwear. Fancy up them boys!

They'd clean up so nice! Maybe they're going to an awards ceremony for BVR? Or maybe they have a gala in honor of them saving the world where they along with Mako, Raleigh, Tendo, and Herc are the guests of honor? Whatever the occasion I can't see them wearing "regular" tuxedos or one color fancy suits, there'd be some element of uniqueness. That being said, I thought Newt would wear a fancier version of a leather jacket, vest, nice pants, and boots; and Hermann would go the fancy professor look with a sort of nice checkered (not sure if that's what you'd call this pattern) suit and bow tie.

They'd get bored two hours in and go find a closet to make out in :>

These are both so perfect, I’m seriously in awe, they are just BEAUTIFUL!!! You are so, so beyond talented; I love your art so much and I can’t tell you how incredible it is to see both of these moments come to life like this! 

The first one feels just so intimate, I can’t stop staring at Newt’s sweet expression. It’s incredible, you can tell Hermann is there in the room even though he’s not pictured at all! You just know that Newt's looking at his special guy, not posing for a shoot. And AHHHH his hand snaking up his Cure shirt to show off his tum (that is honestly the EXACT Cure shirt I was picturing when writing that bit) AND THE RABBIT EARS, HELP, THEY LOOK SO CUTE!!! And I love the ripped jeans and the leather bracers and you can tell he's put gel in his hair! He looks just gorgeous!

And I love the second so much one WOW, it is so cool to see the graffiti wall that featured so much in both stories from the start of Hermann’s huge crush on Newt to their returning there after so many years and so much history in between! The little band of tattoo peeking out between his shirt and jacket is so, so, SO (to quote Hermann) “enticing!” You draw his tattoos so masterfully, they must be so hard to paint, I can’t even imagine! Newt’s looking so fierce and flirty but just like the first one, he also has the look of delighting in making the man he loves so happy. I don’t know how in the world you have captured that with such utter perfection, it’s honestly incredible.

I can’t thank you enough for creating these gorgeous, sweet, sexy, fun and flirty BVR Newts. I’m seriously over the moon seeing these and also reading your kind words! I really missed writing in the Compositions universe so much and wanted to make a fun little add on, so Shutterbug really meant a lot to me when I wrote it. I’m just so incredibly happy that you enjoyed the stories and that they made you want to create these GORGEOUS pieces of art! They are honestly blowing my mind and I'm so in awe!!!

ok ok ok so, I read Shutterbug by @bitmeddler the other week and absolutely had to draw some scenes of Newt from it. It's SO GOOD! They're such an amazing author, love how they characterized Newt and Hermann, especially Newt and Hermann's flirtations as depicted here, and I can't recommend this story and Compositions enough (and really all their fics). Shutterbug takes place in the Compositions Universe so you'd probably want to read Compositions first, but Bit also does great summaries so you can jump into Shutterbug easily without reading Compositions first (though I highly recommend you read both, especially if you're an ActualRockstar!Newt Black Velvet Rabbits fan)

Look at them!!! They are perfect!!! First of all, thank you so much for answering this ask with such beautiful drawings. This is so them; what was once a point of conflict and friction in moments of stress and coping eventually became a means of closeness and understanding. We know music means everything to Newt, so sharing this part of his life with Hermann is such an act of trust and love. But more importantly AHHHH OMG GEETAR and BUNNY EARS Yassssdddddddddsssssss!!! Hermann holding Newt from behind and watching him play and being part of the moment and the togetherness, I AM SOBBING IN A CORNER ugly crying because LOOK AT THEM it's so beautiful just AHHHH!!!!

For your drawing asks: Newt and Hermann and music! Could be listening to music together, playing music together, arguing about music together ;) whatever strikes your fancy!

Yesss! What was once a source of contention in the lab - Newt would play when he was stressed which usually was when Hermann was stressed, Hermann was convinced he was doing it on purpose- is now a source of bonding for these two. Newt’s trying to convince Hermann to learn at least one instrument but for now he’s content playing for him :3
