Fruits basket 02x09
What I find interesting about this episode is that when Yuki was talking to Akito in the bathroom and she asked him if Kyo hated Tohru; he looked left when he answered. Fun fact: that’s a common sign of a lie. Then he said “That can’t possibly be true.” Therefore, it could be reasonable to incline that the animators made him look left on purpose.
If I’m right and the animators did that on purpose, that’s an impressive detail.

The fruits basket dub cast is (in my opinion) is just... not good. Especially Kyo. Not that I have anything against the actor himself it’s just that it doesn’t fit for Kyo specifically. His sub voice actor to me sounds like a troubled teenage boy, the dub one sounds like an annoyed one. Just a slight difference is tone.
It’s odd how much of a difference it can make, right?

When I watched episode 5 of mp100 I was... shocked. Throughout the time I was watching I texted my friend my reaction.
To be honest I couldn’t take it seriously at all of Hanazawa’s clothes...disappeared. I tried, and I got the point. But the entire time I just wanted to man to get some pants.
One of my take aways was this:
Mob: “Sorry about your clothes” *leaves to do squats*
I mean, fair enough, but good gosh give him a leaf or something first. (At least)

*bojack horseman spoilers*
I’m sure this is wildly agreed upon but wow, I feel so bad for Herb Kazazz. The entire scandal as to why he got fired it’s heart breaking. It’s over dramatized, sure, but part of its true. When people find out celebrities are queer sometimes they face unbearable hate for it. It’s just as the protest signs said, audiences feel it’s “inappropriate.”
Anyways, it breaks my heart. I think one of the main themes of Bojack Horseman is how terrible the media can be. Herbs story is one example of the blatant homophobia in media, thus contributing to that theme. Some themes may be over dramatic but the point is it happens. Even if you don’t want to admit it, it happens in media. All of it. Sexual abuse of minors, homophobia, faking illnesses (sad dog), chronic substance abuse, etc. It actually happens, which to me, is the saddest part. Herbs story shows the homophobia side of that story.
In the end, I don’t blame Herb for what he said to Bojack. It’s reasonable in my eyes. No one has to forgive anyone. That applies to media and real life. Herbs life was ruined and he stayed positive for so many years and was still there for the Horsin’ around cast. He cared for everyone, but no one cared for him. He has the right to be bitter.
Anyways, that’s it for me rambling. Sorry I haven’t posted lately, it’s just that I fell out of my bnha phase so I don’t make much content anymore. I try to post every few days at least, but sometimes it’s hard. Thank you guys for supporting me and being patient.

*land girls spoilers series 1*
Has anyone noticed the difference between when Nancy came and left in series one? In the beginning she was asking for her bags to be carried and now, not even a peep! Now that’s character development.

So two days ago I commented on @suckyrmum77 ‘s post (check it out!) and I wanted to repost what I was thinking about “The view from halfway down.”
So the whole episode revolves around people Bojack lost through out the show in form of a dream. Every moment was in fact, in Bojacks mind. It was his death dream, if you will.
Within this is the infamous and beautiful poem conducted by Secritariat. Which revolves around suicide but above all, regret.
Secritariat expresses his regret for jumping and how he whishes for safety. But as we know, this is all within Bojacks mind.
We know Secritariat was a huge inspiration and idol for Bojack as a child and even into his adulthood. Eventually lost to suicide, this ‘death dream’ may be showing what Bojack hopes Secretariat felt.
It’s clear Bojack wants to take his life. However, maybe, this fantasy he had created where his idol regretted his own suicide very well might have been motivation for him to keep living, even if he didn’t want to. Because if his idol regretted it, he would too, right?
I think, the poem may represent Bojacks doubt about suicide by projecting it onto a different figure within his mind.

Sarah Lynn trying to protect Penny from Bojack in her own misguided way is genuinely one of the saddest things about That's Too Much, Man... and it's made even worse when you consider how Penny reacts when she finally sees him.
