I have yet to read most of this arc but Doll knowing in full, vivid detail how the others died? Very convenient to the plot xD Leaving the details of Joker's death? Also very convenient to the plot xD
You mean to tell me Undertaker just went and told Doll in very precise detail how the others died...? For what reason, sir...?
Tumblr media
Now will Snake ask "But why did they kill them?" Or think that Doll is lying/confused/manipulated by the enemies? I mean surely he won't just "Yeah, let's get our revenge!" ...?

Looks familiar...?
Several times while wandering through the F.O.L. Orphanage Finny has the feeling that he has seen the building and the rooms within it somewhere before.
Tumblr media
And he’s right. Parts of the orphanage look very similar to rooms in the Phantomhive Manor. Here are some examples (left: Phantomhive Manor; right: F.O.L. Orphanage):
There’s the big staircase at the entrance…
Tumblr media
…the reception room…
Tumblr media
…or the servants’ room:
Tumblr media
Looks like someone modeled the orphanage after Phantomhive Manor.
And it’s not just the looks. The children in the orphanage are being taught to act like servants and to manage a household like a manor…
Tumblr media
…and then there are children whose teachings (and way of dressing) are very similar to the Phantomhive twins’ education and tastes.
Tumblr media
It kinda seems as if the orphanage is trying to recreate the twins. The focus on games…
Tumblr media
…even the preference of certain tastes (which is something the “aptitude test” is asking about)…
Tumblr media
…that they get their own room (which again looks familiar) when they turn ten (a very important date in the twins’ lives).
Tumblr media
All these similarities to the twins are kinda eerie and too much to be a coincidence. I wonder what’s the purpose of that…

Ciel didn't quite lie to Snake, the first part of what he said was the truth, but Snake refused to accept it, so the earl gave him the lie he wanted to hear, but it's still a lie that will greatly affect this mission, but just as Snake will find out about ociel lie, he will also find out the truth about the what the circus members did to the children and perhaps this will be The thread that will bring Snake back into the earl's line.
I mean he did lie to him, but yeah, things aren't really that black-and-white. The circus members did do terrible things and Snake must have gotten quite attached to our!Ciel and the other servants this whole time, but then again, as we saw from the way Snake reacted to seeing Doll again, he was also very very fond of the circus troupe.
I'm going to say that the way he will react also depends on how and from whom will Snake learn the truth about what happened. I don't see how this can get to our!Ciel for now, so the matter must be solved, somehow, between Doll and Finny and Snake...? I guess?
Overall a very complicated situation, it can go sooo many ways.
Anyway, thanks for sending this in! Have a nice day~

Maybe they don't have normal human blood.
Snake and Finny both might have once been here, got put through various tests, got sent out to a couple different research facilities, and then their memories from before their "fostering" have been tampered with.
I quite like this, an interesting theory.
As for the tests, yes, I would have brushed them off, but the reaction to Snake's question and the fact that there are appropriate answers got me thinking. Plus, we do know that apparently they are being taught something there, so what could that be?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We shall see, I guess.
Chapter 193, initial thoughts
Very much so based on this previous post.
So I was right that the test was a blood type test, first of all, and about "having the right aptitude" hmm. I continue to believe this is about having the rare blood types.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because if they're in excellent health, then I'm thinking this can only be about the blood type. If not, something even more advanced, then?
I was also thinking, "Oh no problem, they will have the rare blood types and will be able to get in easily." Oops. I guess not.
Now about this...
Tumblr media
I am still inclined to believe this is a trick test to show if they have the skills or any peculiar talents that could be polished to make them skilled servants, if you know what I mean.
Also a random thought I got while writing this, who could've made this test? Because two people come to my mind, real!Ciel or, maybe someone even more eccentric, Aleistor Chamber? I mean order of adorableness, what
Now what hasn't been sitting well with me since the last chapter and yet I still can't figure anything out about it...
Tumblr media
Why is that place familiar? I'm absolutely certain this is a huge clue but... I'm clueless. Well.
That and the whole family thing, I feel like there's something important hidden in these two hints.
Any thoughts? Thank you for reading!

Chapter 192, initial thoughts
That have been sitting in my drafts for one whole month because I was contemplating whether they were worth posting or not but it looks like my thoughts on chapter 193 will be based on this post so... here it is, lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Many things to consider from these two panels.
It would seem that here, they are more selective about the children they take in, but how exactly and why?
Considering what they are investigating, when I first read "the test" I thought maybe a blood type test, and by "having the right aptitude" maybe having the right blood type, as in maybe having one of the rare blood types, "Canopus" or "Sirius".
Following on, I was thinking 'advanced class' was also referring to the blood type, but then I also remembered that the children there are supposedly "provided with advanced education by way of unique methods" so I am thinking... maybe they are actually looking for children with peculiar talents that they can train?
Tumblr media
Because advanced class doesn't really feel like it could be about the blood type, but rather the child's skills. Or maybe they take in children with certain blood types, that they then train to become...? Instinct says skilled servants but I guess we shall see.
So I am looking forward to see what the test is all about, and especially what exactly they learn at that orphanage.

There is probably more than one Shinigami deserter behind the Blue sect and revenge arcs
Old theory is old [x][x], but I wanted to explain it more thoroughly considering the few recent discoveries.
At this point, I think everyone can imagine that, considering the scale of the operation thus far (with several blood collection sites, a high tech lab, etc), UT needs sponsors and specific backup in order to make it all work, especially considering he seems to mostly hang around real!Ciel.
Tumblr media
This is backed up even more by similar previous examples in the story, such as:
the circus arc, in which that mad doctor was sponsored by Baron Kelvin for their twisted experiments
the Green witch arc, with the whole deception around Sieglinde in Germany sponsored by the state
Sieglinde’s new lab in England is now sponsored by Queen Victoria
In other words, without money there is no medical or scientific wonder. And UT probably doesn’t have enough money in his wallet, considering…
Tumblr media
…he didn’t get paid much when he was working as a mortician (this isn’t a joke, he despises the Queen a lot).
Therefore it’s likely that the sponsors were there since the start of the BD experiment, as it was already hinted during the Campania arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Several Japanese fans (and I think some fans here as well) previously mentioned it’s possible the Undertaker managed to realize this first experiment because the Campania belonged to the Blue Star Line company, who may have been involved in the Aurora society because they wanted to resurrect their heir (Patrick Phelps who died in Ciel’s manor, one arc prior).
When it comes to the Weston arc, the previous Prefect Four called on the Aurora Society to resurrect the students and teacher that they had killed, which is how UT ended up supervising Derrick Arden’s return as well as Ciel’s investigation.
Until then, UT explained each step of the BD project, from the editing of the cinematic records to the supplementary episodes (”yearning for the future”) that are grafted (and he sacrificed many BDs, except real!Ciel). This means it’s possible that UT, as a skilled Shinigami before deserting, would have been able to edit the records by himself.
However, the scale changed once more with the Blue Sect arc, adding actual medicine to the resurrection process and that’s precisely when Othello hinted…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
…that UT alone wouldn’t have been able to make it work, because he lacks the scientific knowledge.
This is further confirmed in ch149 when Othello recalls that no one actually expected UT to turn into a mad scientist able to do this…
Tumblr media
Besides, as UT himself explained in ch141, it’s because he was trying to bring the twin back in the first place that he ended up working on the BD project, which led to the 3 arcs we know.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In other words, it’s because UT researched a way to bring the twin back that it led to him meeting with these “eccentric fellows”. And now, the growing number of bizarre dolls are simply the results of people paying
to get some people resurrected as a BD (that couple in the Campania arc, the Prefect Four, Phelps’ family? Chris Heathfield ?)
or to get BDs as weapons (Queen Victoria? maybe Germany and France which would explain why UT went there briefly during Summer?)
In the Blue sect arc, we even saw a new form of “sponsors”: people paying to get better health and a slightly prolonged life…
Tumblr media
…until they became a blood collection source and died.
Aside from UT lacking enough medical knowledge, another reason I think there is another deserting Shinigami involved is because the consequences of the BD experiments are a real liability for the Shinigamis’ higher-ups:
Tumblr media
And while we don’t know why UT or any other Shinigami deserted, it’s been hinted before that they could have discovered something incredibly shady behind the Shinigami Organization. [x][x][x]
So, while UT seems mostly motivated by a personal goal (not losing more Phantomhives), it’s possible that another deserting Shinigami would have a completely different motive, one that might include shattering the balance of the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In any case, the fact that ch191 showed Layla/Al (Lord Vega, a status she probably has because someone in her family paid a lot of money to have her resurrected and on blood transfusions, maybe she’s Chris Heathfield’s daughter?) wielding a possible death scythe is just yet another hint of more Shinigami deserter(s) being involved in this project.
After all, UT mentioned that it was quite hard to leave the Organization with his scythe, so for now I don’t think he managed to smuggle out several scythes (nor to create one from scratch), meaning that:
these scissors/daggers belong to another Shinigami who deserted and who lent them to Layla
or that UT took them from another Shinigami whom, in that case, he most likely killed (post desertion)
Tumblr media
As to who this deserter could be, well, a Japanese fan whose thoughts I love reading, because they always make a lot of sense, theorized before that this Shinigami deserter might be…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
…the doctor who recruited Ada (can’t be Stoker btw, he had no glasses).
Of course, their identity is only speculation at this point, but I find this would make more sense than UT single-handedly managing this big-ass operation when he only claims that he started to get involved in the BD project because “he didn’t want to lose more Phantomhives”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I hope this made sense! Please let me know if I have forgotten a hint!

I guess it would be more than safe to assume that Polaris' knives have also been tampered with, to resemble a death scythe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It would mean that not only Polaris himself is strong and dangerous, but his knives are equally powerful and dangerous by themselves. Which would make the confrontation with Sebastian even more interesting.
More on the unrelated side, but I am also wondering if, perhaps, those items that they use as weapons, the scissors and the knives, maybe have had something to do with their deaths, or maybe they were items that Vega and Polaris cherished/used a lot before they died. Nonetheless, something tells me that there should be a connection there, perhaps.
