I’ve got a little bone to pick here. I found an error, hehe. “Two people who have gon through that much together? I think theres more going on.”? Blake and Yang aren’t Ren and Nora. Ren and Nora are the ones who have gone through “that much” together. I find it hypocritical to hear Nora saying that when she and Ren hadn’t even gotten together up until that point. (And frankly, I think that they should’ve gotten together at the end of volume 4 when they were on that airship.) When you really look at it, Blake and Yang haven’t really been through that much compared to Ren and Nora, and it’s just weird hearing it from her.

To be honest, the way that bb was just put in, with nothing building up to it just feels weird. There’s no meaningful dialogue between them. Its just them making googly eyes at each other and caressing each others faces.

It’s also the fact that there was so much teasing in the first 5-6 volumes that made us believe that blake and sun were gonna be a thing, only to be thrown away to get bb out of nowhere.

While I think that Blacksun would have been the better pairing to go with, I don’t hate that bb became a thing. What I do hate is they way bb was put in. It would have been way better if there was meaningful dialogue between them that lead to them getting together, but we didn’t get that.

I honestly think that bb just isn’t a good canon ship. I’m not saying that it’s not a good ship, it’s just that I believe that bb would be better as just a fan pairing, not a canon pairing, if you know what I mean.

I'm actually dreading Blake and Sun's reunion now and I love blacksun. Yang's disappearance will hang heavily over their reunion. I wasn't exactly optimistic before but now any cute blacksun moments, platonic or otherwise is called into question. The worst case scenario is Sun reverting back into an emotional support crutch for Blake while she angsts about her missing gf. We might not even get a reunion if all the girls fall and Vacuo is delayed.

That's how you KNOW a writer/creator messed up a pairing, when its fans dread the pairing's reunion, and BlackSun isn't the only one.

I'm just waiting for them to turn Sun into Adam 3.0, because he's not allowed to be likeable anymore.

Yang is 2.0.

Well, now what are they going to do now that Blake, Yang, and Sun are going to be in the same kingdom together again? I really hope it’s not going to be the jealous lover subplot. I wouldn’t mind adorable confusion between Sun and Yang where Sun is like ‘Wait, I thought you two were going to start dating?’ and Yang is like ‘I don’t know. We haven’t talked about that… and anyway, I thought she still liked you.’ ‘What?! I have nothing on you!’ ‘Yeah right! You’re funny and kind! And you helped her out so much!’ ‘Don’t sell yourself short! You also helped her a lot! And you’re funny and kind, too!’ Nothing volatile, just funny confusion where they wind up complimenting each other.

I really like what happened with ren and nora. I was expecting them to like... really get together together, but I like how they’re putting Noras character development before renora so that can pave the path for renora to actually happen, yknow? I feel like it’ll be much healthier too.

Yang seems to be more worried about what Blake thinks of her, than her sister (simp). Ren is being an ass for the time being. I am scared for Oscars life. I am scared for Noras life. Qrow is getting depressed over his bf. And yeah. 🥲
