Bosch details!
Hieronymous Bosch is one of my favourite artists - it’s mad how ahead of his time he was in regards to surrealism in the 1400 - 1500′s. His work has so much detail in the fantastical scenes he creates, so I took some of the most iconic creatures hidden in his paintings and doodled them ✨

Once upon a time I was sat in the park with my pal and a load of ducks took off into flight, to which he exclaimed "Ducks can FLY?!" Naturally we mock him all the time for this statement, and I painted this piece in commemoration of this phrase for display in my flat.

Saint Mary's Church - Oxford
In the middle ages, a woman named Annora lived underground in this church. She was an anchoress, meaning that she purposefully removed herself from society and spent her days permanently confined in her tomb, with the intention of being able to focus more freely on prayers. Anchoresses were seen as sources of wisdom, and she had a little window that people could use to interact with her to seek her wisdom or bring her gifts. In total she spent nine years in her tomb, and was buried in the very spot that she lived for all those years.
