my followers ignore this not sure where else to do this
Does anyone on here have any use for a bunch of old Marianas Trench merch? I have so many signed pictures, some stickers, patches, posters, a setlist, and some jelly bracelets. Some from ticket packages and some from their old fancorps street team. I also have a signed picture of Carly Rae Jensen from her street team.
I don’t need these and I want to get rid of them but it feels wrong to throw everything away.
If anyone would have any interest in anything please send me a dm or an ask and we can discuss.

"It was never about me" first of all from a Tedependent standpoint that's fucking bullshit. But for Ted to actually say this, and then leave, and go back to life he had before Richmond, to a wife that didn't love him... The ERASURE of Ted from his own narrative is fucking ridiculous. It's TRAGIC, that after he came here and helped everybody become better (in Trent's words, created a culture of trust and support), he erases himself as if he didn't matter. And Trent changes the title. Rebecca moves on. Roy takes his job. They brush over him, and go on to live their lives. Without Ted. Ted who helped them so much. Ted who is now back in that box that he was stuck in. But I guess he has a son, so nothing else matters, right? He's not a person in this narrative, but a parent. His feelings don't matter. He doesn't matter. All that matters is that because he is so afraid of ending up like his father, that he ends up like nothing but a father.

Rebecca loves Ted so much she
a) simply refused to acknowledge that he was leaving for days and everyone was aware of this
b) wanted to give up the club altogether because in her mind they were a package deal "If you go, I go."
c) Begged him, tears in her eyes, to choose the home he'd made for them
d) Offered to uproot his family so that he could stay at Richmond
e) Followed him to the airport and bought a ticket just so she could say one last goodbye to him

all we wanted for ted was someone to love him and fight for him, trent blew up his life to follow him around like a simp for a year and rebecca begged him to stay at richmond despite the money and you want me to accept that he went home to the woman who instead begged him to leave her and randomly decided he was worth the bother offscreen???

The way I nearly had a heart attack at the beginning of the episode…
Only for my heart to be ripped out and stomped on.

the saddest part for me is ted just. being alone in kansas like obviously with his son but the comparison between that and everyone still being connected with their little community in richmond is literally too bleak for me to stomach

I honestly think they dropped the ball on the ted and nate storyline. ted as a character was fleshed out by not having him be this two-dimensional, always positive person and having one of his pressing issues be him not being able to open up and express his emotions. while it is in character for ted to have already forgiven nate, for the show to wait to the very last episode for them to have a real conversation and for it to not even have ted express how nate had hurt him is a disservice to both characters and their overall arcs

fool me once with the fakeout at the beginning of the episode where i thought ted and rebecca had slept together
fool me twice when rebecca finds ted alone in the stands and all but begs him to stay, says i go you go
fool me thrice even with a mentioned romcom buy a ticket to get past security so they could say goodbye moment only to be immediately fucked along with every other resolution and storyline and that’s on shame on jason sudeikis

oh ok canonize the couple after showing copious amounts of emotional abuse. no that’s fine. not even gonna “endgame beardjane but not x ship!” bc we should just full stop on that first part and be very very upset about it

Ted lasso: actually let’s rip our title character away from his community and also ruin every important romantic relationship except the abusive one !!!

Well I loved everything except for the ending-ending, which I (kinda) prepared myself for. Like, I have Thoughts™ about how unhappy Ted looks in that final shot :)))
Also all the Beard/Jane stuff??? Why was this toxic, abusive relationship played as a straight love story complete with an emotional wedding that Ted wasn't even there for? Because, you know, he's off in Kansas with only his son for company, given that the only other family we know about are his rocky relationship mother, his ex-wife, and her doesn't-care-about-football boyfriend. I legit had hope for a hot second as he rudely ignored the game, thinking Michelle would wise-up, leave him, and move to London so Henry could be near Ted... but no. We have that whole scenario laid out beautifully by Rebecca, people literally beg Ted to stay, the whole Richmond family comes together in perfect harmony... and he's left isolated coaching a kid's team without even his BFF anymore.
I don't want to delve into a whole analysis at 1:30 am and I definitely don't want to dismiss the whole episode based on our last few minutes because damn, there was a LOT I really, really liked, but this is precisely what I was afraid was going to happen. Your ending matters. The beat you leave the audience on matters and sorry, but leaving Ted alone -- a sensitive man with an anxiety disorder who has spent three years building a found family for himself -- because Real Fathers are there to ruffle their kid's hair 24/7 is just a shitty take imo. Thanks but no thanks, Ted got off that plane with Beard.

Shout out to that unnamed Richmond player who saw the opportunity to give Trent a celebratory hug and took it. You the real MVP.
