“you can’t forget your mother tongue” okay but have you considered bilinguals and polyglots whose first language isn’t english and whose development during adolescence was shaped by consuming content and media only in english and have ever since viewed that second language, foreign to their own, as a better outlet for their emotions and thoughts? as Yiyun Li said “it is hard to feel in an adopted language, yet impossible in my native language.”

what happens when two dramatic bitches like Geralt and Aragorn visit the same tavern on the same night and there’s only one corner table for them to brood at in a solitary fashion, would they take turns or share a booth while simply refusing to acknowledge each other’s existence

““Where do I wander?” she mused. “Down what draughty tunnels? Where the eyeless wind blows? And there grows nothing for the eye. No rose. To issue where? In some harvestless dim field where no evening lets fall her mantle; nor sun rises. All’s equal there. Unblowing, ungrowing are the roses there. Change is not; nor the mutable and lovable; nor greetings nor partings; nor furtive findings and feelings, where hand seeks hand and eye seeks shelter from the eye.””

❝ Time is jealous of you, and wars against your lilies and your roses. ❞

@blueblurblood : i tried taking a picture of the stars y'all. turn up your brightness to see.
- sometimes it feels like you've succumbed to the darkness and there's nothing you can do to venture out of it but know this, when times seem bleak and the future uncertain know that you are a starry night even on the sad days; you just need to 'turn up your brightness' to see who you truly are.

If anyone of you has ever been made to feel like an outsider in your own house, if you've ever been made to feel unwanted or unwelcome in a place where you very much belonged; I am sorry, I know what it feels like, and I know it hurts. None of you deserved that, and I hope you're all away from those people now and are healing, if not, then I pray that you'll find a way to get away soon.
I believe that our circumstances are usually a product of our choices, but no one chooses their blood family. And not every blood family is exactly beneficial to one's circumstances. I don't want to come off as ungrateful; I am more than thankful for the economic investment that my family has made in me. But they continue to berate me in one way or another, they continue to make me feel like an undeserving human, like a filthy creature unworthy of any kind words.
No one leads a perfect life. We're all broken, tired, tortured, berated, defeated. In one way or another. But making another person the subject of our frustrations is wrong. I know I am not the first person who has had to live through such dejection, and I am certainly not the only one desperate for some love and care.
Love and care isn't only about providing for someone's financial needs. Considering them a human and hence susceptible to flaws is just as important. Being conscious to just the mere presence of emotions in another person takes us a long way.
Anyways, I can't change the order. I can't write my own fate. I must endure through whatever life decides to throw at me. But to whoever is reading this I just want to say, I am happy that you're here, I wish you all the happiness in the world. Better days are coming. 🖤🖤🖤
