There was this book of stories that they’d had down in Little Lamplight. This book of fairy stories. He remembers the kids reading parts of it at night like they were ghost stories, filling in the gaps where the pages were tattered or stained or missing altogether with ghastly things from their own imaginings. He remembers it in fragments — that mirrors are portals and pitch black eyes belong to wicked things that will make you dance every night until you die, and they pluck your own eyeballs out before the light leaves them.
That’s what Hancock reminds him of. Something that belongs in the pages of that book — something that steps out of the woods at twilight, or out of that mirror when the candlelight hits it just right. Melts the glass away to create the doorway to some other, unknown world. He shivers, watching Hancock’s own cigarette glow as he takes a drag.

My first attempt at backpatches was with a thicker sheet of plastic cut on the cricut and used as a stencil. That looked like hot garbage, so this time I actually bought a screenprint frame and cut the stencils on adhesive vinyl, stuck 'em to the screen fabric, and squished some acrylic paint through there. I had some stretching/deformation issues with the vinyl which created air pockets under the stencil, so the design came out looking a little gloopy. I did a lot of touch-up with that paintbrush. I have some ideas for how to address that, but I also might just keep the bottom one and call it a day. For now, here is V2!

Here’s a preview of my contribution for the 18+ only addendum of @falloutghoulzine! Pre-order From Necropolis, with Love and Tour of the Town (18+) from December 20 to January 3! We have illustrations, comics, fanfiction, and merchandise!
I've started a fallout comic project so I won't have much art to post but I'll slip panels in every now and again, once I have the first section done I'll probably start posting it! Anyways I'm obsessed with these two panels.
