Hi! Didn't you wrote an Eddie Munson x reader fic where she's sick and breaks her arm on accident and Eddie goes to the hospital to visit her and confess his love? I wanted to read it but couldn't find it :(

Please do some more with Rufus
Hi there, I won't be doing any more for Rufus unfortunately, as I'm pretty sure the last story only got one interaction, and I just don't have the time to write for one person I'm afraid.
I'll be finishing the last of the requests at some point 😊

A helping hand.
A/N: You can tell when this was meant to come out... anyway, sorry again for the delay but I'm finally settled in the house now and will be getting the last requests out when I can :)
Christmas.
The most wonderful time of the year.
Supposedly, anyway.
Yours seemed more stressful than usual this year though; between worrying about money, what presents to get people on your tighter budget, and how you were going to organise Christmas this year between the two families you had very little to smile about. The festive cheer had certainly evaded you so far and it was already the beginning of December.
“Right, Jane’s said she’s not doing presents this year which should give us some wiggle room for others,” you sigh, having just received the fortuitous text message.
You look down to the notebook which had a list of names and the gift ideas next to them, then cross her name out with a relieved huff and look over to where Rufus sits tapping away on his phone enthusiastically. A grin spreads across his tired looking face and he suddenly meets your gaze with wide, excited eyes.
“I know this is super last minute but look at this!”
He jumps from the armchair to the seat next to you on the sofa with a bounce and thrusts his phone under your nose for you to see the email that had got him so riled up, then you make out the main words that make your heart sink a little; fly out to France for two nights, back on Christmas eve.
“Oh… Wow… It’s, uh… a great opportunity.”
“So it’ll be a week in total what with rehearsals in London…” he grins, “but this is amazing!”
“A week?” you repeat, having missed that part of the email completely, “but we’ve got so much to do before the big day…”
“It’ll be fine,” he says with a wave of his hand, “don’t worry! I’ll do what I can before all this, and I promise you’ll have the bare minimum to do after.”
You give him a nod and a smile but you knew Rufus too well by now, and he wasn’t exactly the most organised of humans, in fact he was quite simply the complete opposite and regularly left most things until the last second. His attention turns back to the device in his hands as he excitedly types his reply back to this thrilling event he’d been invited to, and you can’t help but feel a heavy sensation in your stomach at the thought of the next couple of weeks.
It was edging ever closer to the big day when Rufus finally appears from the stairwell just as you place your plate in the sink and grab the reusable bags from the side, “you ready?”
He briefly looks up from his phone with a questioning brow, “for what?”
“Christmas shopping, silly! You said we’d get it done today while you’re still here.”
“Shit, of course, yeah, I’ve just gotta meet Danny in town and then I’m all yours, I promise.”
“But…”
He gives your cheek a fleeting kiss then shrugs his jacket on, “I’ll meet you at the shops, I’ll phone you when I’m done!”
With that, he disappears out of the front door, leaving you with the bags gripped firmly in your grasp, your fingers tightening with anger as you stare at the door he’d only just exited seconds before. You knew this was going to happen and yet you couldn’t help feeling disappointed that it had.
“Hmph,” you huff, grabbing your handbag and deciding to do this by yourself instead.
Your mind is a jumble of emotions as you walk around the shops picking up bits for everyone; on one hand you knew that Rufus couldn’t pass up an opportunity like this, yet on the other you wished he didn’t let it totally consume him, especially now with it being so close to Christmas and you needing help with the preparations for it. You eye yet another bath set for your mum and place it down in the trolley in front of you with a sad sigh before making your way to the checkout and checking your phone for a call you knew wouldn’t be coming.
It’s late when you finally get home and you can see the lights on inside indicating that someone was already there, so you trudge up the path with your hands full of heavy bags and give the door a couple of taps with your foot.
“Babe!” he grins when he opens up to find you standing there, “let me take some of those.”
He grabs a couple from each hand and you follow him inside, pushing the front door shut with your elbow as you watch his familiar blonde ponytail disappear into the lounge.
“Busy day then, huh?” you say quietly, trying to keep your anger from bubbling over.
He pouts as he lowers the bags carefully to the floor, leaning them up against the sofa, “I’m so sorry, everything took longer than expected and then we got something to eat and I knew you’d be done by the time we got out of there so I just-”
You can’t help but scoff at his answer; you were already enraged and his bumbling excuse about going for dinner rather than helping you tipped you over the edge, “I can’t do this,” you shrug, dropping the bags with a thud and turn to walk away.
“Can’t do what? Where are you going?!” he worries.
“You said you were going to call and meet me in town to help with all this,” you reply, spinning around and gesturing to the bags scattered across the floor, “you said that before you had to fly off you’d make sure you could help me so that I had the minimum amount left before Christmas.”
“I know, and I’m sorry! What about tomorrow?”
“No,” you reply sternly, “no. I have a job too you know, and it’s our busiest time of the year as well, but no, don’t worry about me, I’ll just sort the presents, the food, the budget that’s required a hell of a lot of adjusting this year…”
“That’s why I’m doing this! I know we need the money, so that’s yet another reason why I agreed to it!” he reaches out for you but you step backwards and shake your head.
“I appreciate that, I really do, but I also just really needed your help today. It wasn’t like you were being paid to go eat after the meeting was it? Ru, I’m exhausted, and I’ve got work in the morning, and I’m going to have to do everything else without you when you jet off again, so I genuinely really did need you today.”
“I’m sorry,” he sighs morosely.
You sniff a little before pinching the bridge of your nose in frustration, “so am I,” you whisper, once more turning towards the door and heading out to your car.
“Where are you going?” he asks, attempting to grab onto the vehicle door as you shut it.
“My parent’s place.”
“What?! Why?!”
“I need to cool off.”
You hastily put the car into reverse and make your exit as quickly as you possibly can without seeing the hurt in the eyes of the man you love. As soon as you get onto the main road you regret it but you have to stand your ground and reluctantly continue the short journey to your parent’s house in a stony silence, not even the radio uttering a note. Once you turn into your parent’s road you park up and sit in the quiet that had accompanied you on the entire journey as your mind whirs with regret and sadness.
“Fuuuck,” you whisper as your forehead connects with the steering wheel.
The engine is still running as you roll your head from side to side slowly until eventually you make the decision to turn straight back around and head home. The last thing you wanted was for Rufus to leave while you were in the middle of a disagreement so you knew you had to make things right even though you did want to stand your ground about the matter.
You open the front door slowly and carefully once you get back, not wanting to make your appearance known straight away, but Rufus soon comes bounding down the stairs as soon as you shut the door behind you and his lips land on yours in a desperate kiss.
“I didn’t think you were going to come back,” he whispers breathlessly between kisses, “I’m so glad you’re here.”
He cups your jaw delicately yet firmly as he presses his lips on and around your mouth while your fingers weave into his blonde hair with ease, “I’m sorry,” you manage to mumble when his lips move.
He pulls away with a slight frown, “I’m sorry,” he sighs, “I didn’t mean to be such a selfish asshole, I wasn’t thinking, I-” you cut him off with another kiss.
“It’s okay, do you wanna apologise here, or upstairs?”
There’s a moment where he processes what you’re saying, then his eyebrows lift as his lips turn up into a smile, “upstairs.”
Request: Could you please make one with Rufus where they have a Big fight, reader leaves and come back later and they reunite + more

I just want to say that I really appreciate all your work and how much effort you put into each piece. Have a lovely day and a great festive period ❤️
Oh, don't make me cry! That's really lovely of you to say, thank you so very much, you have truly brightened up my day with your extremely kind words. Thank you, and I sincerely hope you have a lovely time over Christmas and New Year x

Like I said before anon, I've got a couple of requests for him, I just need to write them! Life's got real busy real fast, and I'm sorry to those last requests on the list that still need writing, but I'm trying my best with what little free time I have right now. I don't wanna rush something and hate what I've written just to get it out y'know? I don't want to compromise quality, otherwise there's no point in me doing it! :)

Day drinking.
A/N: talk of drinking and being drunk ahead.
Pride is the overwhelming feeling you have as you watch person after person file through the doors of The Hideout just for your boyfriend’s band. Their following had grown tenfold in recent months thanks to a pirate radio station that had played a couple of their songs, and you couldn’t have been happier for them. It made for a joyous change to hear other people cheering and clapping along with you when they finished each song, yet no matter how many people were there, Eddie’s eyes always managed to fall on you; his biggest fan.
“That was amazing!” you cheer after fighting your way backstage and throwing your arms around your beloved, “oh my god, you were incredible!”
“Thank you baby,” he grins before kissing your lips, “thank you.”
“You look so good up there, like you were born to do this,” you beam proudly as he tightens his grip around your waist amid the chaos of people brushing past you.
He leans down for another kiss, this time more passionate despite being in such a public space, and you hum in ecstasy as his tongue swirls around yours.
“Eddie! Come on, we’re going next door for drinks,” Gareth interrupts, hitting him on the shoulder and jolting the two of you back to reality.
“Wanna come?” Eddie offers.
The look you get from Gareth tells you all you need to know and you politely decline so that he can have some time alone with the guys. It was such a deceptively simple thing to give your boyfriend the space to hang with the band after a gig and have a few beers to congratulate themselves on a good night, and yet it soon turned into something more sinister, something that neither of you could have predicted happening.
Three months down the line, the couple of drinks after a gig had quickly evolved into getting absolutely smashed and being unable to drive home, so you’d accommodated him every now and again by going to pick him up and bring him home when he’d managed to find a phone and remember what the number was.
“I’m not doing this again,” you warn sternly yet quietly as you help Eddie into the trailer once more, his heavy limbs flailing as he loses his footing and stumbles into the kitchen counter, “you’re on your own next time.”
“Baby,” he slurs, his hand slipping off the edge of the work surface clumsily, “baby don’t be like that… c’mon… I promise I won’t do it again.
“Whatever you say Eddie. Goodnight.”
It’s not easy to fall asleep while your boyfriend crashes about outside in the living area, but you were determined not to go and help in any way after the now countless times you’d had to get up in the early hours of the morning to go get him from whatever bar he’d ended up in. You toss and turn until eventually he quietens down and gets the hint that he’s sleeping on the sofa tonight, and you are finally able to drift off yourself.
“Babe…” a whisper filters into your dream, “baby…” you frown as your brain clicks into waking up, and you open one eye to see a blurry outline of Eddie sitting next to you, “wake up sweetheart…” he encourages as you huff and groan in protest.
You turn onto your back and squint into the light that filters through the gap in the thin curtains, then you drape an arm across your eyes and part your lips to speak, “I’m awake,” you sigh.
“I got you some coffee,” there’s a clink of the cup on the bedside table as he misses the top of it the first time, “erm… can I sleep with you tonight? That sofa sucks,” he moans, placing a hand on his lower back as you peek at him from underneath your forearm.
“Depends.”
“On?”
“Whether you’re going to get shitfaced again tonight or not. It’s becoming quite tiresome now you’re doing it almost every day.”
He scoffs at your blunt reply, “what?! I… I don’t do it that often.”
“You do,” an exasperated sigh escapes your lips straight after those two words.
“I don’t,” he snaps sternly, huffing loudly as he jumps up from the bed, exits the room, and slams the door behind him.
You didn’t need any more convincing when it came to seeing that he had a problem with drink, but that little tantrum just cemented it for you anyway and you frown at the closed door as if he could see you through the wood. Never mind what had happened just now, you had to get to work, so you chug the coffee he’d brought you, get dressed in silence, then pass him by without a word as you exit the trailer. The silent treatment wasn’t fun for either party, but he had to know that you couldn’t keep dealing with his drunken ass every night and cleaning up his mess whenever he puked; you weren’t his carer, you were his girlfriend, and he needed to grow up.
Usually he’d pop in to your work when he had the day off, but although you knew that he wasn’t in for the next two days there was no surprise visit, and the realisation of how serious this situation is was an upsetting shift in your mind.
Saturday was gig night again but as you wake up to find him missing, you spot him picking up a bottle of whiskey and taking a swig as you sit up and look through the open door.
“Eddie!” you call out, “what the hell are you doing?”
He turns to look at you but simply shrugs as he slides the bottle back across the worktop and walks further down the trailer out of sight.
“Whiskey for breakfast?!” you question as you rush out of the bedroom, pulling a robe around yourself as you take long strides towards him.
“It was just a sip.”
“But why? Why do you need to drink first thing in the morning? Is it me? Is there something going on at work? Tell me what’s so bad you feel as though you need to turn to drink as soon as you wake up, please,” you beg, getting on your knees in front of where he sits on the armchair.
“Nothing, it’s nothing. I just wanna.”
“Eddie,” you sigh quietly, trying to comfort him by placing your hands on his thighs, “I’m worried about you.”
He takes your hands in his but pushes them away before standing up and stepping around you, “well don’t be. I’m fine. It’s just the rock’n’roll lifestyle.”
You shake your head from side to side sadly before standing up and heading to the bedroom to get dressed for work, then you leave once again in a frosty silence as he sits on his own cuddling the bottle of whiskey close. Even when your shift is over you stay in town, heading to the nearest bar with the intent of drowning your sorrows but instead opting for a non alcoholic drink as you think back to Eddie caressing that bottle this morning; it was enough to put you off the stuff for life.
A figure soon comes stumbling through the door having started the party early and your heart sinks when you see it’s Eddie making his way clumsily over to you, his hand missing the bar a couple of times and almost ending up flat on the floor.
“So it’s okay for youuuu to drink then?” he slurs.
“It’s water.”
“Huh?”
“It’s water,” you repeat louder, shaking the glass in front of him, “we’re not all alcoholics like you.”
“Alco- alcoholic?!” he scoffs, “ha! Is it any wonder when I live with this… this fun sponge?!”
“Wow. Fun sponge?! Good one Eddie.”
You lift yourself off the bar stool and prepare to leave but he gets a hold of your arm to prevent you from walking away, “maybe I wouldn’t have to drink so much if you weren’t so wound up all the time and just let me have fun.”
“So I’m the problem, huh?” you clarify, releasing your arm from his grip.
“Yeah! Yeah you are!”
For a split second you become aware of your surroundings and the people in the bar watching the two of you, then you lower your voice and state very calmly, “then my possessions will be out of your way by the time you get back from the gig tonight… if you can even remember where you’re playing.”
A very purposeful bump into his shoulder is what you leave him with as you pass him by to go home and pack your things, and Eddie folds in on himself across the bar, resting his head on his arms as his backside finds a stool to rest on. You were glad of the walk home for once, letting out your anger at being completely humiliated in front of everyone there with each hard stomp of your foot on the ground. How dare he accuse you of being the problem, all you’d ever done was support the man and this was the thanks you got. You burst into the trailer, heading straight for the bedroom where you grab your suitcase from under the bed and begin to throw piles of your clothes into it one after the other.
“Fucking. Men. Shitfaced. Twat.” you yell with each item entering the case.
A pile of your belongings soon accumulates next to the door and just as you’re retrieving your toothbrush from the bathroom cabinet a very sheepish Eddie enters the trailer.
“I’m going now, wait outside if you really can’t stand the sight of me and my miserable demeanour.”
“(Y/N)… I…”
“Nah, no need to say anything. Just don’t drive drunk and kill someone… or yourself for that matter.”
“Please… just…”
“No,” you frown sternly, “after the humiliation I’ve just been through, I don’t want to hear anything you’ve got to say.”
“(Y/N) please…” he drops to his knees in front of you and rests his head on your stomach as his arms wrap around your waist tightly, “please don’t go.”
“You’re embarrassing yourself Eddie. Just let me go.”
“Never,” he mumbles, “I’m never going to let you go.”
“I’m sure you won’t notice the difference between me and a bottle of vodka.”
All of a sudden his face lifts to look up at you, his deep brown eyes filled with tears as you try and avoid any contact with them, “I’ll stop. Right now, I’ll stop. I promise. I’ll throw it all out, I’ll pour it down the sink, I’ll do whatever you want, please.”
“Eddie,” you sigh, his breath warming your stomach, “I just want you to be happy, and if that means we need time apart, then so be it.”
“No, no, no,” he protests, “I’m happiest when I’m with you, I am. I just think I got a little lost trying to navigate pretending I was a rock star.”
“How come you’re so sober now?” you question, your arms behind your back.
“The thought of losing you scared the alcohol away.”
“Did it now?” you asked with a questioning raise of one eyebrow.
He nods fervently, his chin rubbing your tummy with each movement his head makes, and you roll your eyes with a tut at his reply. Your gaze falls to the door behind him and it’s as if he can see what your mind is thinking which makes him jump up from the floor and block your view with his pleading face, “please, please stay. I can’t do life without you (Y/N), and I know I’ve been a fucking idiot, but I swear this is the last time.”
You stay quiet as you mull over what he’s saying, and he runs to the sink to begin pouring the bottles of liquor away, then wordlessly you push your suitcase back into the bedroom and he breathes a sigh of relief; a sigh that was tinged with the overwhelming smell of whiskey.
Request: Eddie’s band corroded coffin has gotten more recognition like there not famous but well known around Hawkins & nearby towns. Eddie’s been drinking a lot more now obviously after playing at bars he ends up drinking with his friends.
Slowly overtime it becomes a very regular thing he’s like always stumbling into him and his girlfriends trailer absolutely hammered and just really drunk. She starts noticing a change in his behaviour and just him in general and he’s drinking like every night. His girlfriend tries to talk to him about it but gets shut down immediately and he just gets really snappy. One morning they wake up and just start getting into the biggest argument about his drinking because he tries to start drinking first thing in the morning and she keeps telling him she’s just worried about him but he’s just being a dick about it. She just storms out and leaves for work. Meanwhile the whole day Eddie is just drinking his sorrows away
Later that night he stumbles into his girlfriends workplace maybe shes a bartender, hammered once again and just starts yelling at her and trying to talk about the argument they had that morning in front of her bosses and all the people in the bar and just like completely embarrassing her. Then you can decide what happens after that hahaha

Thank you for the love on this fic!
So glad that bit made you laugh, I couldn't resist putting it in! :)
Like a river flows.
A/N: no warnings here, just fluff ahead. So sorry for the delay in getting this out, but I really hope it's worth the wait!
Standing outside a new school was the most intimidating feeling ever and you were currently experiencing it first hand as you stare at the huge Hawkins High sign by the gated entrance. A breeze makes you shiver just as you go to take your first step and you’re suddenly put off from moving your feet at all until a long haired boy jogs past you cursing to himself about being late. He stops once he realises you weren’t a newly installed statue and turns to face you with a smile.
“Hey,” he grins, “you lost?”
You look over at him with your mouth slightly agape and shake your head, “uh… oh… maybe?”
“Just a maybe? Because it looks like a definite yes to me,” he chuckles.
“Well… yeah. It’s my first day and I have no idea what I’m doing.”
“I’ve been here for years and I still don’t know what I’m doing… come on, let’s see if we can figure out what it is you’re meant to be doing yeah?”
He nods towards the school and leads the way inside as you walk slowly behind him, unable to take your eyes off of the large design on the back of the denim vest he wears over a worn leather jacket.
“Munson! You’re late again,” the slightly wrinkled receptionist scolds as he tries to walk casually past the office.
The guy twirls around on his tiptoes to face the woman behind the desk with an apologetic smile then he looks over to you and gestures with both hands at his excuse for the lateness, “I found this poor lost soul outside and it’s her first day here, and of course I came to her rescue-”
“That’s enough Eddie,” the woman tuts before turning to you, “what’s your name sweetie?”
“It’s (Y/N) (Y/L/N).”
She smiles politely before shuffling some papers out of sight and pulling one up onto the counter, “here’s your timetable…” her eyes dart to the guy still stood beside you who is looking at your very familiar schedule, “Eddie will show you around, won’t you?”
He salutes, “yes ma’am!” his attention turns to you and he sweeps his arm towards the glass double doors that led into the main corridor, “m’lady.”
You manage to take a few tentative steps before Eddie jogs up next to you, “so… (Y/N)… what brings you to Hawkins then?”
“Mostly the cheap rent at the trailer park,” you answer honestly with a chuckle.
“No way!” he exclaims excitedly, “what number?”
Stopping in your tracks, you give him a suspicious look at his prying question, and he spins around to see your bemused frown, “sorry, sorry, let’s start again so that I’m not a complete stranger asking where you live,” he clears his throat and straightens up before holding his hand out for you to shake it, “hi, I’m Eddie Munson, I’m persistently late to school, I’m a dungeon master to the Hellfire dungeons and dragons club, and I live at the trailer park… lot 23 to be precise.”
You shake his hand with a quiet laugh, “nice to meet you Eddie Munson. I’m (Y/N) (Y/L/N), I’m a terrified new student, I listen to Iron Maiden, and we’re parked up at number 34.”
“Wait… You listen to Iron Maiden?”
“Yeah…”
He flashes you a wide grin then swings an arm around your shoulders, “we’re gonna be best friends, I just know it.”
A nervous chuckle escapes your throat as he leads you to your first class of the day, but overall you were extremely relieved to have met someone so friendly who took on the task of showing you around without any protest.
Thanks to Eddie Munson your first day turns out to be not as horrendous as you thought it was going to be, and it seemed as though you fit in quite well with him and his merry band of fellow outcasts, even though you dressed quite trendy compared to their dishevelled rockstar looks. Soon enough you’ve complete your first week at school and you spend the weekend walking around Hawkins seeing what it has to offer, which in all seriousness is not a huge amount compared to where you’d moved from, but it had the basics that you needed so you couldn’t complain too much.
You’re greeted at the beginning of your second week by one of the basketball team who manages to intercept you before you can reach Eddie who’s waiting by the gate, and after a brief, awkward exchange you can continue your journey to the safety of your friend.
“That was weird.”
“Hmm, well at least you’ve met Jason the jock now.”
“Strange guy.”
“Not as strange as me though,” he winks before mimicking horns either side of his head with his hands and sticking his tongue out with an ‘ahh’ sound.
You laugh with a shake of your head and nudge your shoulder against his raised elbow, “come on then freak, we can’t be late again.”
Eddie was just too easy to get along with, it was either sheer luck that he’d spotted you on your first day, or this friendship was definitely meant to be. Most importantly though, the other members of Hellfire had graciously accepted you to their table, and you felt a part of a group of people that were the kindest and most honest ones going. You’d been a part of the so called ‘popular kids’ at your old school and it definitely wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.
Two months down the line you’d certainly settled in well to your new routine, and despite some further awkward interactions with a certain basketball player who seemed a little too interested in separating you from Eddie and the rest of the gang, everything was going quite smoothly. There was just the tiniest little problem that had developed recently, and that was the fact that you were falling for the guy who had taken on the responsibility of showing you around that very first day; Eddie was easy to get along with, and he was even easier to fall for which could be a problem if you wanted to not ruin this friendship.
You were heading to your safe space in the school, the Hellfire club meeting room, when you begin to hear the first few lines of one of the sweetest songs you’d ever heard, and it was a personal favourite of yours.
“Wise men say, only fools rush in, but I can’t help falling in love with you...” your heart starts to flutter at those romantic words being sung so softly.
“Shall I stay? Would it be a sin, if I can’t help falling in love with you...” guitar strings are gently plucked as you near the doorway to the room, and you realise this mysterious singer must be a part of Hellfire club.
“Like a river flows, surely to the sea, darling so it goes, some things are meant to be...” you poke your head around the doorway to see who it was, and there sitting in his throne with an acoustic guitar resting on his lap is the dungeon master himself.
He looks up to see you standing there while his fingers continue to caress the strings tenderly, then he continues singing nervously as he maintains eye contact with you, “take my hand, take my whole life, too, for I can’t help falling in love with…” he pauses to take a breath and briefly glances away before whispering the last word, “you.”
Your mouth opens to say something but words fail to emerge from your throat as he carefully places the guitar on the table in front of him and stands to make his way over to you. He holds his hand out towards you when close enough and it takes you less than a second to slide your fingers across his palm as you finally close your mouth again.
“Take my hand…” he sings in a shaky breath.
“Take my whole life, too…” you continue, equally as timid.
Eddie smiles as he pulls you in slowly and wraps his arms around your body tightly while you mirror his actions, and the familiar smell of smoke and leather that fills your nostrils suddenly becomes overwhelming, making your head spin as you realise the significance of what has just happened between you. Your legs wobble and Eddie tightens his grip as he feels you sway, “are you okay?”
You nod, your cheek rubbing on the denim vest that covers his shoulder, then Eddie sighs happily before turning his head to kiss your hair.
“So… this was meant to be a bit different,” he explains as the two of you peel away from one another slowly, “there was meant to be candles and like just a more romantic atmosphere… not me singing terribly at the D&D table.”
You shrug and shake your head from side to side, “what do you mean? It was perfect.”
He grins, showing those sweet laughter lines of his that had only added to the many reasons you fell for him in the first place, and you melt at the sight, “perfect, huh?”
“Mhmm,” you nod.
“So does this mean you’re my girl?”
“As long as it means you’re my guy.”
“Say that again.”
“You’re my guy.”
He takes one arm away from your body and places his hand over his heart as his eyes roll into the back of his head, “I’ve been waiting so long to hear that,” he exhales dramatically.
You let out a laugh and turn to leave, but he grabs your hand and pulls you back towards him just as Jason walks past the room; the sight of the two of you together catching his eye immediately and stopping him in his tracks.
Eddie’s hands cup your face gently as his eyes flick between your lips and eyes, silently asking for permission to kiss you, and you lean in to confirm this was exactly what you wanted until you meet in the middle to allow your lips to connect for the very first time. A kiss from Eddie was everything you’d dreamed it to be, and you’d dreamt about it plenty of times. His lips were as soft as they looked, the pads of his fingertips on your cheeks were rough yet touched you tenderly, and you could feel the passion from how firmly he captured your mouth. It all added up to yet another head spinning moment for you.
The two of you reluctantly part once the kiss comes to a natural end and Eddie punches the air excitedly, “that was awesome!”
Jason looks on as you giggle at Eddie’s comment then become wrapped up in his arms once more as he cuddles you into his body. His eyes narrow into jealous slits before he turns and stomps to the gym to work out his resentment that it wasn’t him you’d gravitated towards.
The other members of Hellfire seem completely unsurprised by the fact that you and Eddie were now together, and everything just carries on as normal for everyone at school in the coming days with the only change being that you hang out a lot more together after the academic day has ended. The only evening that you didn’t see one another was when Hellfire met.
“Where’s Lucas?” Eddie asks looking around the table and noticing the empty seat.
Dustin and Mike share a confused glance at each other before Dustin rises from his seat to solve the mystery, “I’ll check the locker room, could be getting changed after a game.”
Eddie nods then sits back in his chair and observes his kingdom while he waits.
Dustin strolls down the empty corridor until he gets to the gymnasium then cuts through the hall and to the locker room, calling out Lucas’ name every now and again to see if he was there. He has no luck until he hears voices coming from behind a set of lockers, but he stills and keeps his mouth shut when he hears your name being said.
“(Y/N) just needs some gentle persuading, that’s all.”
“Dude, you can’t just force her to like you by doing that!”
“I can… and I will. Eddie doesn’t deserve her, she’s so much better than him, I have no idea what she sees in that freak, but she belongs to someone like me.”
Jason’s voice is the most recognisable as he insists on the fact that you apparently had to be with someone like him, and Dustin creeps out before anything else can be said so he can warn Eddie as soon as possible. He’s huffing and puffing after running back to the room, and Eddie’s both concerned and confused as he slaps his hands down on the table and announces that everyone must leave except Eddie.
“You’d better have a good excuse for delaying the campaign even more Henderson,” Eddie warns once they’re alone.
“It’s a pretty fucking important reason,” he sighs, “I didn’t find Lucas but what I walked in on was Jason talking to someone else about forcing (Y/N) to see that he’s who she should be with.”
“I… What?! What were his actual words?” he asks, standing up and crossing his arms defensively.
“Uhmm…” Dustin closes his eyes in concentration as he thinks back to what was said, “she needs some gentle persuading… he has no idea what she sees in you… she belongs to someone like him,” he paraphrases.
Eddie’s face turns into an expression of disgust at what Jason has said about you, and he storms out of the room, grabbing his jacket and vest as he goes.
“Where are you going?!” Dustin worries.
“To see (Y/N),” he states.
He screeches to a stop outside your trailer and you’re quick to open up the door once you hear the car door slam just to see who had skidded to halt, then your face instantly softens once you see it’s Eddie.
“What are you doing here?” you smile as he strides towards you with a deep frown etched across his forehead, “what’s wrong my love?”
He takes you in his arms protectively and you can feel his heart beating against your chest as he holds you close.
“Hey,” you say softly, “what’s wrong?”
He leans back so he can see your face then his palms cup your jaw as he looks deep into your eyes, “I just want you to be safe, okay? I’ve heard some things this evening that I…” he pauses to take a breath, “that have shocked me. I need to tell you because you deserve to know, but I swear to you I will never let anything happen to you, alright sweetheart? I swear on my life.”
Your expression turns to one of slight fear but he kisses your forehead comfortingly, “what’s happened Eddie?”
He leads you back inside where you sit on the floor across from one another while he caresses your hands in his while he explains what had happened and the exact words Dustin had overheard in the changing rooms earlier. It shocks you to your core but Eddie is there to hold you and reassure you, making you feel safe and that everything will be okay. There’s a brief moment where you’re speechless once Eddie’s finished talking, but you soon think of something to fill the silence.
“That fucking bastard,” you frown angrily, “who the fuck does he think he is? I’m gonna kill him. I’ll kill him.”
Eddie finally breaks into a smile at how fiery you are, and he knows that between the two of you and Hellfire, you’ll be completely protected from whatever Jason tries.
