"Tim and Jason working together would complete each other cause Tim is brains and Jason is brawn-"
Wrong. Jason is smart.
Tim and Jason would be complimentary in a team up because Tim is idealism and Jason is cynicism.

All I can think about at the moment is how Jason’s death, at the crux of it, was that he was too sweet and tender and loving, looking for someone who he hoped would return that love back to him. He had to take care of his sickly, addicted mother, and his father was never there when he needed it. He felt abandoned by Bruce because his compassion for victims, coming forth in a blaze of fury, caused Bruce to condemn him and it cut him more than anything. He died saving a woman who did not care about him.
He cared for his sick, addicted mother for years until she passed, got his hands dirty for her dignity. He tried to be the best robin, best son that he could be for Bruce. He loved and loved and he searched for Sheila hoping to find any crumb of that affection returned, shielding her from a bomb blast despite her being to reason he was put in his situation to begin with.
Jason Todd’s crime was sweetness, and his punishment was death.

“Done. What's next?”.
Do you ever think about this though? Do you ever think about how Akutagawa acts insatiable and relentless? Do you ever think about how he's physically unable to stop? Do you ever think about how he'll never stop looking for the occasion that will finally have him prove himself? Do you ever think about him asking for the next mission again, and again, and again, because even though nothing is ever going to be enough, he can't stop trying to prove himself and push himself beyond his limits? Do you ever think about how desperate he is for something that can allow him to finally feel seen? Do you ever think about how he's destroying himself in the process? Because I think about it a lot.

since you just made a hindi songs that are akuatsu coded, i think "ye vaada raha" would fit the bill as well, the lyrics remind me of them,
"You are the only one that the heart said was mine
Wherever you are, there I am
to live without you, would be an (unbearable) sentence
Let us meet like this,
just like two waves (in the ocean)
never apart again,
yes and keep this promise
If) I were the voice, then you would be my song
from this entire world, you are my (only) soulmate"
vintage bollywood songs in general are lovely:)
Anon how does it feel to be the most correct and only sskk truther ever. I owe you my life

Hindi songs that are so sskk core to me
“I can’t live without you now,
What is my worth without you?
If I got separated from you,
Then I’ll get separated from myself.
Because you’re the one,
Now you’re the one,
Now my life consists of you,
My peace and my pain,
You alone are my love.”
—Tum Hi Ho, Aashiqui 2
“I love/adore you so much,
A hundred times in one moment,
If you leave me and go,
I’ll just wait for my death—
Because for you I have left the universe behind,
My breath stops at you,
I want you more than anything,
You couldn’t even imagine.”
—Soch Na Sake, AIRLIFT
“Your sky, and mine,
Has become all smoke, like a dream,
Your sky, and mine,
Is spread in parts, like breaths…
Wherever you go,
You’ll find me only,
These shadows of mine are comprised in you,
I am a planet now, and you’re a planet too,
And we shall meet again,
In the world of stars now.”
—Saiyaara, Ek Tha Tiger
“You sleep in my sleep,
You cry in my tears,
There is a whisper in my thoughts,
Even if you’re not here it seems like you are,
You’re the disposition of my pain,
They are the prayers of my heart…all the ways leading back to you.”
—Galliyan, Ek Villain

There is something so good about Akutagawa--a very much feared, boogeyman like figure (even amongst his own men) in Yokohama because of his violence, bloodlust, and steadfast loyalty to a violent criminal organization such as the Port Mafia--given biblical angel symbolism
I don't know, something something about someone whose beauty is so incomprehensible and terrifying to most. He's not physically ugly, he's not--he's beautiful, the type of beautiful that almost feel as if he's not a real person, like he's a mirage, or a painting. But he's beautiful not like those renaissance cherubs and lovely looking maidens for angels, but more like the biblical angels with their beauty beyond mortal grasp, the beauty that brings fear and revulsion towards whoever sees them because they cannot comprehend it. Coming across him makes you understand why angels say, "Be not afraid" when they reveal themselves to mortals. An incomprehensible beauty that very few can keep looking at. A dangerous feat, literally and metaphorically.
(This isn't only with his physical appearance either--for someone who is constantly beaten down both by canon and by the fandom for being "simple", he is a terrifying bundle of different aspects that contradict each other. Like a super machine you open up and you see the intricate criss crossing of wires and bolts that hold it together. He's a mess of nerves and feelings and experiences so profound, so horrific, that you don't know where to start with him. To uncoil him and see him truly bare is almost impossible. Where does he end and the roots that connect him to the earth begin?)
Something about Akutagawa being an angel, a being created entirely to follow the will of "God", obey their every word. Unwavering loyalty to their master while singing praise. Acting entirely on the order of their master--wing always dipped in blood for his sake. A weapon of "heaven' that brings destruction to those who oppose "God" and be one of the many upon which "God" rests upon.
(Almost everything Akutagawa does is for the sake of the Port Mafia, taking orders from the "master" (boss) himself. Willingness and obedience and loyalty repeatedly exploited and used, everything he has done as one of the high ranking leaders handling most of the Mafia's dirty work playing a part so Mori's throne stays high.)
Something about comparing Akutagawa to a certain archangel, finding repulsion in "God"'s cherished creation, the inferiority that came with being "less" to "mankind", and the painful fall from grace to the deepest pits of despair when he confronts the being that created him, molded him, and then condemn him. And to his humiliation, mankind, for centuries, condemns him too.
(He can't be compared to Lucifer, God's most beloved angel. Maybe Dazai did value him, but it doesn't matter, does it? because the difference between the two is that one was cherished and one never was. However, you can compare the rage and humiliation Akutagawa felt towards Atsushi--for obtaining Dazai's approval and affection with no effort, no proper control over his skill or any seemingly differentiating quality-- to Lucifer's refusal to bow down to humanity--a creation inherently imperfect and lackluster, with not the qualities of angels. And as a result? Disgraced. Both by the creator and by ones that held their creator's favor. )
Something about Akutagawa being an angel--someone whose presence means nothing pleasant to those he appears before. A reaper of sorts, responsible for taking life and for souls to see the afterlife (killing both as an order and an act of mercy, for he despises torture and meaningless suffering). A guardian angel watching over "mankind" from afar, where he is not aware and saving him from certain death at his own expense.
There's just something so appealing about depicting Akutagawa--a fearsome, ruthless, and bloodthirsty mafioso, a boogeyman to his own men--as an angel, be it of death, of mercy, a destroying angel-- whatever anyone wants to see him as and use him for.

No no, “Cares too much” x “Does not care enough” with pm sskk absolutely works if you’re talking very specifically about their work ethics, which is a very important aspect of their characters
Talking about BEAST Atsushi x Canon Akutagawa is so funny because the only thought that went through my head is how much of a hell pair they would be if they meet. It’s very much the epitome of “Cares Too Much” x “Couldn’t Care Enough” if you personified them
BEAST Atsushi breaking down, never having a good day in his life: H
Canon Akutagawa, Joey Diaz voice with the American Anthem in the background: Get up cocksucker, it’s all over. Listen we had a rough couple of months but we got work to do—
WHO'S THE ONE WHO COULDN'T CARE ENOUGH

This little thing always gets me so angry, because Akutagawa's design /is/ goth. I don't understand how anybody looks at him and thinks it's emo.
And maybe context is needed, but Akutagawa's design is directly related to IRL Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's writing style. The author of Rashomon had Gothic elements in his writing and his stories, and a great deal of it had to do with Edgar Allan Poe, whose works are a staple in the Gothic horror and Gothic mystery genre.
(What is Gothic fiction? "
(What defines Gothic literature? "In the most general terms, Gothic literature can be defined as writing that employs dark and picturesque scenery, startling and melodramatic narrative devices, and an overall atmosphere of exoticism, mystery, fear, and dread." )
Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's short stories have a lot of macabre and dark elements to it. Especially Rashomon, which is incredibly important to BSD Akutagawa's character.
Rashomon, which takes place in the far past in a impoverished and decaying Japan, is about a wandering servant's moral dilemma about whether morals are a priority when people are starving or in dire situation, ending with the main character killing an old lady, robbing her and a corpse of their clothes at a gate. It is a Gothic fiction piece, or at least has the hallmarks of Gothic literature.
("Gothic fiction is characterized by an environment of fear, the threat of supernatural events, and the intrusion of the past upon the present. Gothic fiction is distinguished from other forms of scary or supernatural stories, such as fairy tales, by the specific theme of the present being haunted by the past. The setting typically includes physical reminders of the past, especially through ruined buildings which stand as proof of a previously thriving world which is decaying in the present")
Anyways, moving away from the real world parallels--
This is emo

I've written this before, but there is no single idea of what "Goth" is. There are entire subcultures in the Gothic scene. I think, though, with the context of the short story Rashomon and BSD Akutagawa's character, I say his character is a mix of
Victorian Gothic: Cravats and Ruffles, use of dark and intense colors (heavy blacks and whites).
I have to note that the way BSD Akutagawa speaks in a very formal, elegant, and old timey manner in English (the British accent adds to it) and the use of "Yatsugare", a very old timey and humble pronoun to refer to self, (and the fact that he likes tea and antiques and calligraphy, basically some fancy shit) all tie in together. He has an "old timey" Gothic design to mimic how the short stories of the IRL author took place far into the part (rashomon, for example, 1420).
Romantic Gothic: Lacy clothing and flowey materials, tailcoats, straightened hair or soft waves, elegant/dramatic styles. All of these are more aspects of his design (like he coat and his blouse, both very flowey and dramatic in style, the hair, and just his general uh,,,behavior).
This became a long rant and I'm sorry for hijacking OP's post. I'm just very passionate about this subject but
TLDR: BSD Akutagawa's Ryuunsouke's design are based on Victorian and Romantic Gothic elements, derived from the IRL Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's writing style and subject of writing, greatly influenced by Edgar Allan Poe, one of thr best well known writers of the Gothic/Gothic- Horror/Gothic-Mystery (sub)genre.
we all call aku emo but isnt he more goth than emo ?
