Me, looking at everything with distant stare: not only would it make sense from a lore perspective but I think the mental image of Belos just growing Grimwalkers in the ground and then pulling them out when they’re teenagers to young adults is hilarious, like this bastard is starting a gardening channel on how to diy Grimwalkers. What if a couple times he just forgot that he was making one what would that be like? Oh no, I forgot I was making a person! This one came out as a very old old man! Like could you imagine????

Crumbles this post up and throws it in the waste bin

I know it’s been discussed about Hexside and Darius taking in Hunter but with Dana running things you just know the writers are gonna subvert our expectations.

That’s why instead of settling down with one of these groups permanently I think Eda is gonna call in her favor with the Bat Queen!

Why the Bat Queen though?

Besides her appearing in Hunting Palisman I believe her to be more forgiving than someone like Eda or Darius.

And wouldn’t it make sense narratively for Hunter someone who is trying to make amends, end up with rooming with The Bat Queen who is the caretaker of The Palisman who inadvertently helped kickstart his “rebellious streak” in the first place?

Someone who takes in things that have been forgotten or used? Someone who looks after all Palisman to say to Hunter that it wasn’t a “mistake” that his Palisman chose him?

Not even completely going into the fact that both Palisman and Grimwalker come from the same type of wood so they could be considered kin.

I think in a narrative sense, it just makes sense for Hunter to at least have a one on one talk with The Bat Queen.

The same thing goes for Principal Bump, Camila, Raine and eventually Alador, Lilith, and Darius. They don’t want these children who are obviously traumatized by the same system they’ve been forced into to face something much bigger than them.

Because face it, fantasy world or not no kid should be facing an almost all powerful tyrant who manipulates as easily as breathing. Even in fantasy settings it’s good to emphasize that children shouldn’t have to live with that blood on their hands.

Even if it’s for the “greater good” and the big bad “deserves it” no child should have to kill to save everyone. It’s too much pressure it’s too heavy.

Can we just appreciate Eda stepping up and going:

“no the adults are going to handle this!” because so often in media with kid/teen protagonists the kid is expected to save the world by themselves and keep secrets from their loved ones because their loved ones knowing may put them in danger yadda yadda!

I’m so glad The Owl House subverts those tropes and by going straight up: “yeah no, the literal traumatized child isn’t going to fight the big bad! The adults are going to and that’s that!”

i know april fools is a terrible time to post serious and hot takes but oh well serious hot take time

i always found it really strange how pretty much any media creator who gives lgbtq+ rep (dana terrace, nintendo rebecca sugar, ) are always the ones who get the most absolute hate across tumblr, twitter, and pretty much every other social media

like i get people want the best representation possible but its so odd to me people attack those who give it instead of those who don't, creators who queerbait, creators who outright refuse to

i mean dana terrace got her whole show and passion shortened to give us such beyond amazing rep, nintendo has removed gender choices from most main games and heavily pushed lgtbq+ games like fire emblem engage and splatoon, rebecca sugar has been through absolutely everything horrible cause of cartoon network giving us rep

and like. the latter two literally are hated by nearly all of tumblr and twitter (which are gradually becoming disturbingly similar)

and ive already started seeing people hate dana and go after her on social media for really dumb petty reasons, and with the owl house about to end she's probably gonna go through the same harshness rebecca sugar did

the internet really sucks, i wanna believe its just homophobes sneaking into these fanbases but wow

idk i think we should just appreciate creators who give us rep more. actually say thank you once in our lives instead of being awful to them. if we keep biting the hands that feed us we'll just starve. we should focus our efforts on complaining about those who oppress us and refuse to rep us
