Bold of you to assume I wake up before noon
Good morning to the online learners, my disillusioned college peers trying to crawl to the end of their degree, the ones who love to learn but are constantly thwarted by red tape and bureaucracy, the ex-gifted kids, the ex-not-gifted kids, the textbook pirates, the class skippers, the gap year takers, the kids who stay up late just to experience something that isn't the work grind, the one-week-at-a-timers, the one day-at-a-timers, the neurodivergent students every institution ignores and overlooks, and everybody who has been and is being traumatized by public or private education systems. Good morning to y'all and y'all only.

Lady Baela Velaryon
So it came to pass that when King Aegon II flew Sunfyre over Dragonmont’s smoking peak and made his descent, expecting to make a triumphant entrance, up to meet him rose Baela Targaryen, Prince Daemon’s daughter by the Lady Laena, as fearless as her father.

There was no truer friend than Fingon the Valiant. For even when it appeared that Maedhros had been false to their friendship, he still walked into certain death in the hope of setting him free once more.

I have tried to find a good edit for Fingon yet none are good enough... Could you maybe make a Fingon edit?
Yes! I have always felt that Fingon is under appreciated and forgotten.

What is your favorite couple in the tolkien fandom? If you were shipped with someone from the tolkien books, who would it be?
Even though I don’t approve of incest, I have to go with Turin and Nienor.
And Eomer will always be my bae.

He had been known by many names... Gorthaur the Cruel, Annatar the Giver of Gifts, Sauron the Deciever... but Mairon the Admirable had always been the first.

Celebrian was the daughter of Galadriel, the wife of Elrond, and the mother of Elrohir, Elladan, and Arwen. 500 years before the events of the Lord of the Rings, she was attacked and captured by orcs who tortured her for days. Her sons quickly rescued her and slew all the orcs they found. Although Elrond healed her wounds, she chose to leave middle earth for the undying lands. It is because of her that her sons became such fierce hunters of orcs, always remembering what happened to their mother.

Elenwe was the wife of Turgon and the only wife of the princes of the Noldor to go with her family into exile. All the other wives refused to go with their husbands and children into exile, choosing to never see them again rather than risk the hardships of middle earth. Sadly, Elenwe died in the crossing of the Helcaraxe despite the best efforts of her husband to save her.

Earwen was a princess of the Teleri and wife to Finarfin. She bore him Finrod, Galadriel, Angrod, and Aegnor. She did not follow her family into exile because of her friendship with Anaire, the wife of Fingolfin, who also stayed. Because she was also the niece of Elwe Thingol, he allowed her children to visit Doriath. This made her the first cousin of Luthien Tinuviel.

Prince Aemon Targaryen, the Dragonknight, was the second son of King Viserys Targaryen II. Aemon was inseparable from his sister Naerys when they were young. Stories speak of Aemon and Naerys’ doomed love for each other. According to the singers, both Aemon and Naerys cried the day Naerys married Aegon in 153 AC, although historians report that Naerys had only cried during the bedding, while Aemon had quarreled with Aegon at the wedding feast. Shortly after Naerys and Aegon's wedding, Aemon joined the Kingsguard, taking his vows at the age of seventeen.
A rebellion in Dorne undid Daeron's conquest, however. Aemon was with Daeron when he met the Dornishmen under a peace banner in 161 AC, together with four other knights of the Kingsguard. Three of those Kingsguard knights died defending Daeron, one shamefully yielded, and Aemon was captured after slaying two of the betrayers. Lord Wyl of Wyl eventually put Aemon naked in a crow cage placed above a pit filled with vipers. House Wyl was told to release Aemon into the new king, Baelor's, custody, but instead they gave Baelor the key to the op and an invitation to use it. The Dragonknight, fearing for his cousin and new king's safety, begged Baelor to leave him, but Baelor refused and walked into the pit. Maesters believe Baelor was bitten six times before reaching Aemon's cage, while Dornishmen claim the king was bitten half a hundred times before using the key. The freed Aemon carried Baelor upon his back, while the Wyls wagered on how long they would last.
When Naerys was accused of adultery and treason by Ser Morgil Hastwyck, Prince Aemon defended his sister's honor in trial by combat and slew Morgil. This inspired many songs and furthered Aemon's renown, much to his brother, King Aegon's annoyance.
Disguised as a mystery knight, Prince Aemon once won a tourney after his brother Aegon had forbidden him to take part, because Aegon wanted to crown his mistress of that time as the queen of love and beauty. Disguised as the Knight of Tears, Aemon won the tournament and named Naerys Targaryen in place of the mistress.
Despite Aegon's feelings of disrespect and hatred towards Aemon and Aegon's provocations, Aemon died honorably, defending his brother and king against an assassination attempt. Queen Naerys grieved Aemon's death and died in childbirth a year later.
