End of 2nd week of our online classes, and I'm finding it quite hard to manage my time.

I can't find that much time to fully immerse myself in reading non-school related texts and books; but I guess I don't mind it that much. I like our subjects and the strand I take. The topics are more advanced, if not completely different from my junior high years, and I'm liking the challenge that our modules impose

Woke up a little late and with no motivation for class today. The skies are gray and cloudy, with light rain pouring down.

My mental health seems to be in a no good position, but it gets a bit better as the day progresses.

My classes just ended, and even though I couldn't take notes that much, I still managed to learn and participate.

So a while back I won a cheap eBay auction listing for a collection of love letters from the first world war.

They arrived today, and...the listing was WAY more than I expected for the price I won it for. There's over 100, and they're not just from WWI, but from 1906 (earliest I've found so far) through to 1915.

Charlie writes to his girlfriend, Gertrude. This is the most beautiful, lovesick stuff I've ever read. He sends her so many letters, sometimes twice a day, and lots of poems. He seems to have been an artist, as he talks a lot about small exhibitions of his stuff, and included a flyer for one. He also talks about how her parents don't approve of them and how he's desperately awaiting the day they'll be married.

I haven't found the latest of the letters, but the fact it's up until 1915 and then stops...doesn't give me hope for a happy ending.

This man continuously refers to his precious beloved Gertie as his queen and goddess, and whilst most of it is sickly sweet, there's some raunchy stuff too, with him talking about how he can't wait until they have a little house together and can 'please each other all day'...

There's. So many.

I'm going to put them in order by date, read them through, and then maybe even transcribe them so we can find out a bit about Charlie and Gertie's love story.

I like how schools in Philippines teach/talk about our local heroes like they were saints and has never done anything bad (aside from killing the Spaniards and Americans, and some Japanese), but when it comes to Jose Rizal, they're just like, "yeah this dude flirted and possibly shagged with women all over the world, from Philippines, to China, and Spain, and many more, but we just roll with it 'cuz he's the national hero."

I couldn't post for a while because online class started and I got really busy, but now I got my self together and I have adjusted my time properly.

I'm currently studying Chinese and Japanese alongside each other while also learning Spanish on the side. Some may say three languages is too much, but honestly, I like this set up; it keeps me really busy and prevents me from existential dread.
