Accidentally Engaged by Farah Heron
âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸/5
First book I ever read from Farah Heron and definitely will be looking towards reading more of her work. The book was overall a cute and quick romance read, and makes you wanna eat all types of bread lol
Donât want to give away too much but youâll fall in love with the characters and just the overall story. It just shows that even your fake boyfriend/girlfriend might be the person you truly needed in your life.

WARNING â ď¸ this can be triggering for it deals with drug abuse, rape, and suicide.
Go ask Alice
This book is a first hand look at what goes on in the mind of someone who falls into the world of drugs especially for a teenager. As teenagers we are trying to discover who we are and the world around us. This book can be a hard read for some people especially if itâs something theyâve personally been through or has had someone close to them go through it. I honestly think this book is something everyone needs to read even parents.

WARNING â ď¸ this can be triggering for some people for it has to do with rape and sexual assault
Something Happened to Ali Greenleaf by Hayley Krischer
Ali was your usual normal quite girl, until that one night she was noticed by her crush Sean,he led her upstairs which she wanted to do but when she felt it wasnât right that she wasnât ready she told him to stop he didnât, instead he held her down (causing a bruise on her) covering her mouth and raped her. After the accident Sean tells his best friend Blythe he didnât do anything putting on his âgood innocentâ boy charm she is convinced that he truly didnât do anything that she decides to âclean upâ his mess by befriending Ali in order to make her think things really didnât happen the way they did. But what kind of friendship can be built on lies or secrets? And What happens when those secrets come out?
I wonât give too many more details because this is a book really worth reading. This is the first book I read by Hayley and I can say I loved it.
For anyone who might read this or come across this post I want you to know that if you say NO to someone it means NO! Our culture now a days think itâs okay that if you start something it has to happen even if they say stop or no later on and that is not okay. For anyone struggling or has gone through anything traumatizing such a rape, sexual assault, or anything I am here to talk if you need anyone. If you need to get anything off your chest I am here, because it can eat away at you holding everything in trust me I know the feeling all too well. So please if you or anyone you know might be struggling with something please talk to someone or even to me. Donât ever think itâs something to shameful to speak out about what has happened to you. You are not alone.

Okay so at first I wasnât so into the book, it didnât catch my attention right away. However once I started getting more into it, it was đ¤Żđ¤Żđ¤Żđ¤Ż!! At first I thought Floyd somehow was behind Ellieâs disappearance but I was completely wrong and to find out who it truly was and everything they did to poor Ellie and what truly all happened to her like đ¤Ż!!! Also finding out who Poppyâs mother really is is beyond mind blowing! This book is completely full of twist and surprises!

The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware
10/10 OMG!!!! You guys this has been one of the best suspense/thrillers books I have read so far!! All the huge twist in it, itâs mind blowing đ¤Żđ¤Żđ¤Ż from who âRowanâ really was, to who actually killed Maddie, to all the secrets of the family, to finding out what actually was going on inside the house, just everything!!!! I donât wanna reveal too much because itâs definitely worth a read!

The Trouble with Hating You
10/10 would recommend this book!!! I knocked it out in two days because I couldnât put it down! The characters are amazing! Liya is such a strong, outspoken, independent woman! That even with everything that happened to her and with a narrow minded community she still had a good heart. And Jay such a loving, nurturing , yet hurting on the inside for something that happened in his past. I absolutely loved how Patel brought about strong subjects such as sexual assault and grieving. as well as how even to this time in day in many cultures women are still seen as only to be obedient wifeâs and homemakers, that when one starts to be outspoken they are seen to be unfit which is utter bs. Anywayssss overall the book is well developed, itâs an enemies to lovers kind. Also I canât wait for Sajni Patels next book thatâs set for next year! Definitely an author to read!

The Undocumented Americans
10/10 would recommend this book! Villavicencio truly captured the life and stories of everyoneâs story. She didnât portray them like many others do that truly donât know what itâs like to be a undocumented and to be treated they way you are just by your skin color and status. The true pain these people suffer and the abuse by people who take advantage of their status in the states to not pay them for their work or threaten them. From health problems all the workers that helped during 9/11 to not be recognized, to be denied health care due, to the people living in Flint who would drink the water because nobody told them about the lead contamination, to only find out about it by family members calling them. Just the rawness of this book is beyond amazing!

Everything I never told you by Celeste Ng
Honestly I have read mixed reviews for this book and I can 100% say it is either youâre gonna love it or hate it. To me personally it was half and half I didnât love it but I didnât completely hate it either. The back stories of the characters and the different point of views from each of them were good. I loved how the author brought up issues that were a huge part of the time the book took place in. I just however felt like it was missing something or needed more. And to find out what actually happened to Lydia was a little disappointing. Still would recommend to read it because overall what might not work for you might work for someone else.

Normal People
4/5 I would have to say.
Overall it was great but I kinda wish we wouldâve known why Mariannes brother was the way he was towards her, what did her dad do apart from hit her, and whatâs going on with her mom. Also I wished we wouldâve known if Connell left to New York or not.

The girl he used to know
The book was lovely! The fact that you get to learn what was truly going on with Annika! Yes I had figured something odd about how she was but as you read along you understand why and everything that had happened that lead to the split between her and Jonathan. But the fact that the love was still there after ten years!!! And the instense last chapters like đ¤Żđ¤Żđ¤Ż

The Girlfriend
Personally Iâve always been a romance book type of girl but I really enjoyed this book. There was so many twist to it that really made it great! However of course I wish there had been a little more to ending. I would like to have known what happened when Mags went to see her parents at the end of the book, and what happened to Loran, along with other things I felt shouldâve been added but overall great book!
