Synopsis:
The inspirational story of how a single mom, with the help of her Christian faith and hard work, brought her dream product to market and became a success. A single mother of four, Angie Cella, dreamed one night about a device that put gems in her hair. She woke up thinking she would invent it because she loved what she had seen. A few weeks later, she had a second dream. In this one, God told her, “I want you to make this product.” As a woman with a burgeoning faith who’d been waiting for just this kind of direction, Angie spent the next several years navigating the tough and often painful—yet ultimately gratifying—road to success. Blinger is the story of how Angie brought that dream to life, building a successful business out of nothing but inspiration and hard work. Along with helpful business tips, Angie candidly shares all the fun and excitement, plus the letdowns, the failures, and the pain of bringing an invention to life—and how the power of faith can propel us when we feel like we just can’t go on anymore. Blinger is a testament to the belief that any dream is possible if you work hard and stay true to your faith.

When three women find their lives inextricably linked after a terrible mistake, they must work together to make the most of their futures.
Alexis Marshall never meant to cause the accident that left Jon-Jon Robinson paralyzed - but though guilt plagues her, her husband hopes to put the past behind them. After all, he’s in the middle of selling a tech business - and if Alexis admits to texting while driving, the deal could collapse and cost them millions. Meanwhile, Alexis’ life is not as shiny and perfect as it may seem from the outside. She has secrets of her own. As she becomes consumed with thoughts of the young man she hit, can she reconcile her mistake with her husband’s expectations?
Trish Robinson is just trying to hold it together after the accident that left Jon-Jon dependent and depressed. As the bills pile up, Trish and her husband, Dwayne, find themselves at odds. Trish wants to forgive and move on, but Dwayne is filled with rage toward the entitled white woman who altered their lives forever. Trish can’t see how anything good can come from so much hate and strife, so she determines to pray until God intervenes. Then one afternoon Marquita Lewis rings their doorbell with a baby in her arms and changes everything.
Vanessa Miller’s latest inspirational novel reminds readers that differences may separate us, but if we cling to each other, God can bring something good out of our very worst moments.

"Second Sunday" looks like a good christian fiction book
Tumblr media
Book synopsis:
This story is set in St. Louis in the 1970s. The 100th year anniversary celebration of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church is approaching and the pastor has died. How will the church pull itself back together and find a new pastor in time to prepare for the church centennial, let alone survive one more day? It seems as though everyone in the church has an idea about who the new pastor needs to be and what direction he should be going. In the tradition of Gloria Naylor's Women of Brewster Place, Bowen weaves the hilarious stories of several church members as they plan, plot, and connive to have their choice installed as the next pastor before the anniversary celebration. Second Sunday refers to one of the main worship Sundays in small traditional Baptist churches. In the book, it is the day of the scheduled centennial celebration.

A good book series to add to your reading list 📚
Tumblr media
Book Synopsis
Close friends Candice, Samar, Sha, and Sabrina have to face the reality that tomorrow isn’t promised for any of them. This is primarily due to Candice’s mother’s violent death and the rapidly surfacing complexities in their lives. They realize they are capable of anything, be it positive or negative, and it is up to them to make the best choices to avoid being in harm’s way. Candice, Samar, Sha, and Sabrina are learning how to deal with the highs and lows their lives are hurling at them. Candice is sixteen and is having a preponderant amount of difficulty dealing with her mother’s death and coping with issues regarding her peers. She experiences her first serious romantic relationship. She wonders if their love for one another will stand the test of time, and if their relationship is worth the trouble it brings her way. Samar, seventeen and the boldest of them all, definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. She is very temperamental, especially because her boyfriend seemingly cannot be faithful to her. She seeks revenge and does not care how evil she has to become to achieve it. Sha is Samar’s younger sister. At sixteen, Sha is in the process of determining if she wants to discontinue an abusive relationship in order to become involved in a much healthier one. She learns from her mistakes but is unsure if she will repeat them, despite her lessons learned. Sabrina is seventeen, laid back, and carefree. She mostly keeps to herself and does not need a lot of attention to feel self-assured. She figures having too many girlfriends will cause too many problems she’d rather not deal with. She has strong feelings for a fellow whom she does not trust. She is on the fence about whether to follow her heart, go out on a limb, and give him a chance.
