So, when you’re out of college and have a 100001 responsibilities it is incredibly hard to pick up a book to read nonetheless finish one.
It makes me worried- am I even a reader despite this?

A new tumblr has been added to my list as its been two weeks since the last post to this one.
This new tumblr is my journal of sorts, you see. And, I’m hoping it’ll spit out the right decisions when I’m faced with them. Because, I’ll be frank,
I’m struggling lmao

The latest place Ive been throwing my money in is the psychology section at barnes and noble. Currently, looking into attachment theory and grief.
Anything I should be keeping my eye out for?

Thanks to my followers for remaining here.
It has been one of the hardest years of my entire life, I am struggling with more things than I have ever before in all phases. The result has proven to be hardcore on my physical and mental health.
These consequences have prompted me to close this blog until the unforeseeable future. Its hard to see the tumblr notifications and think “wow what a different life I lived. I had the ability to read”. At this point, I am lucky to sit down and eat.
So, for those following, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hope to come back to this.

Queue is absolutely slowing down this week.
The current book I have on hand... (which now that I think, I haven’t yet introduced 😅) is super rough. Very slow. Not my cup of tea but I’m too stubborn to just set it aside.

Book 3 of The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead is here!!
If you haven't been following this journey along with me. I will explain.
ME AND MY BEST FRIEND LAURALEI READ THIS IN HIGH SCHOOL. I even think she was the one who put me on it to begin with. Anyway, we bonded over the dislike of highschool, homework, nail painting, and DIMITRI. Lord, how we both know we would cover that man in whip cream.
And, after some years, we decided to reread it. And GODDAMN IT. It is such a great flipping series, it's insane.
With that being said, LAURALEI HAS BEEN TAGGED AS MY READING PARTNER AGAIN. Because god knows she can deal with my sporadic texts of "dude, I don't remember this." on top of becoming GIDDY over parts where Dimitri is the perfect man.
I AM NOT READY FOR MY HEART TO BE RIPPED OUT. Lauralei, however, might be ready for my texts about how much I love her as my reading buddy (because legit folks she's perfect) because she's a walking ray of starlight. I'm not even kidding.
PREPARE FOR THE JOURNEY OF THIS FOLKS.
Blurb below:
WHAT IF FOLLOWING HER HEART MEANS ROSE COULD LOSE HER BEST FRIEND FOREVER?
Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth's magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires - the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them.
Rose knows it is forbidden to love another guardian. Her best friend, Lissa - the last Dragomir princess - must always come first. Unfortunately, when it comes to gorgeous Dimitri Belikov, some rules are meant to be broken...
Then a strange darkness begins to grow in Rose's mind, and ghostly shadows warn of a terrible evil drawing nearer to the Academy's iron gates. The immortal undead are closing in, and they want vengeance for the lives Rose has stolen. In a heart-stopping battle to rival her worst nightmares, Rose will have to choose between life, love, and the two people who matter most... but will her choice mean that only one can survive?

Oof, THIS book is the reason I read. I legitimately devoured this book like water. So much so after I finished it my thoughts were the following "Oh my F***** God. One of the BEST books I've ever read."
This book is really 10/10 for me. I'll explain why.
+ This story has STUNNING imagery. Like, I've never been to Paris. But, this book made me want to go so badly because I could taste every single piece of pastry, see every shining piece of silver and gold, feel the pavement of the cobblestones beneath my feet. It is SOO good.
+ The main character in the book is one of the most CUT THROAT characters I have ever read about. She's such a breath of FRESH air. there is no moral dilemma as severe as it's usually written in the young adult section and I LOVED that.
+ Every chapter/ part has a new mission/ heist. That action was really EVERYWHERE. In some doves, in large ones. It never ENDED. It was so complex. It was insane !
+ AND THE MAIN PLOT; LORD IT IS SUCH A REVENGE PLOT. It's intricate and borders on sociopathic. REALLY WELL DONE.
+ AND OF COURSE, FINALLY, THE CLIMATIC POINT. OH MAN. Once I read it, I sat there and was like, oh my god my heart is going to beat out of my chest. IT WAS SO INTENSE.
Like, everyone is comparing this bad boy to six of crows, but truly, I think this is BETTER than Six of Crows. Like, this deserves a movie 10/10. I wouldn't even be surprised if it's made into one. It is that phenomenal.
